Are there beds that emit adequate amounts of both UVA and UVB rays for people who want an experience similar to that of natural sunbathing? If not, is it because they are impossible to manufacture or is it because the tanning industry doesn't want them manufactured for whatever reason? (Maybe they want people to rotate beds rather than use the bed that most closely resembles outdoor tanning, realising that those few beds which are UVA and UVB will have an extremely high demand and, thus, a longer wait time?)

Thanks for your question. I don't know of any lamps that "mimic the sun" exactly, but I understand that only about 10% of what we get from the sun is UVB, so most tanning lamps are on par with that. (I wouldn't think that you want 50/50 UVA/UVB bulb?) Are you perhaps looking for a "Full-spectrum bulb"? May people take UVA/B lamps and combine them with red, blue and/or infrared wavelength bulbs to create the same effect. I show a few different examples of that in my other video here: th-cam.com/video/yP-_SfaSn3I/w-d-xo.htmlsi=5UL5_FklbaC3sNkq
I hope this helps, but please feel free to reply here or contact me directly by phone or email if I can help further...Thanks!

@@Esbservice I think what I really meant to ask is... Does one have to choose between a tanning bed and a bronzing bed? Aren't there any beds out there that do both??? 🤔

@@langleywallingford260 Thanks for your reply. Sure, I suppose that someone could mix 50/50 bronzing/tanning lamps in a bed, but I honestly don't know why. It seems that tanning lamps are for "beginners" and/or people who need more melanin production (from UVB) in the early stages of tanning, while bronzers are meant for more advanced tanners that don't need as much UVB for melanin stimulation and/or they already have some color/tan easily...they'd rather have less UVB and more UVA for the bronzing power. I hope this helps, but let me know if I can assist further...Thanks!

@@Esbservice I meant a high pressure tanning bed whose UVA/UVB output la 95%/5% or 19:1, just like midday natural sunlight.

@@langleywallingford260 Most of our "Tanning" lamps do have that ratio of 95%/5%...They are just not high pressure lamps.

I have a SunQuest Pro with Mega Voltage Plus Gold Series bulbs. Can you tell me if these are bronzing bulbs?

Thanks for watching and for your question. To be honest, I've never heard of that lamp before - and in quickly researching it just now...I just can't be sure. It would be nice if the distributors of these lamps provided more actual, detailed information about them. Just simply based on claims of this lamps "maximum UVA output while maintaining generous UVB values" and roughly 15-minute exposure time, I would think that it's considered a bronzer - but you may want to check with a place that sells them (and knows what they're selling.) If they really know what they have, they should be able to provide you with an "irradiance chart" like I show in my video above. I hope this helps out. Thanks, and happy tanning (or bronzing!) 😄
