I watched this film with a cousin, who had just lost his life; they have a set of twins-age 3. Discussing the film, we agreed that this film is a gentle presentation of what mourning can mean: especially when a child was planned by the parents to save the life of the mother. To overcome the failure of that plan, having a child that had a purpose, but that purpose failed. This film beautifully portrays this struggle for acceptance and love, for the courage to start anew. Just listening to the worlds tells me, that the script is well written. This this story a book; this story would be beautiful to read. Thank you! 🖋🖌🖍

This may surprise some of you, but this is a pretty good movie.
It doesn't hand you a reward right away. It actually pushes you away at certain points. But in the end, it's a journey that reaches a sweet destination.

I did not see the dry humor as you call it in it. It is a good movie just not a comedy. And I was actually looking for a comedy to make me laugh out loud. This is exactly the opposite. Hence why it is misleading
I can imagine a man losing his wife and being left with a baby 👶. It's really hard . He's going to a lot ,and instead of receiving support from his sister-in-law .She just wants to take his baby.The only part of him and his wife left .Is not the first or the last time a man takes care of child, hes going through a lot, but he can manage .
I took care of my 2 daughters by myself , with God help that gave me the strength ❤❤😊
this is what 10% of all women probably go through regularly because many men choose not to participate and nurture life, but its so sad when its a man that has to experience this.
Riley is a good person and she never pushed him away from her, she would just leave him where they were.. I really don't think he understood until the end of the movie! A must watch till the end

Very realistic film. The sister is doing those things for herself, not the baby, because she can. Petra portrays someone maybe on the spectrum, where there's no grey, just straightforward thinking, which is what the dad needed. Not my usual film, but I really enjoyed it.

medical personnel are watching, and from a medical perspective that child will be seriously ill or dead in no time. with all the dust,and dirt exposure and constantly on the ground. Doesn't the baby feed durring the day? bc babies feed like all the time. Ok let me calm down, its just a simple movie.

Who puts a baby on the ground in the winter?
Furthermore, who takes a diaper away from the woman who wants change his baby's diaper because he wouldn't. And then picks up his baby without putting a fresh diaper on her. And walks off with her to the cemetery amd lays her on her mothers grave in winter This movie is just too weird.

I am not sure weather to like or dislike this movie. It bothers me badly the way he is treating that baby. I am a mum and I can't imagine talking about my baby like she's a bucket of spare parts or taking her to a construction site. I would hire a nanny.

Everything about this film is awkward. The main characters are awful mismatch; he's self-absorbed in his grief, and the eccentric employer is robotic (no change in facial expressions whatsoever), like a creature from another planet. The sister-in-low character is painfully annoying - couldn't understand by what right she could apply for custody over the child. The baby though was cute. Least of all I can't understand why this film is classified as a romantic comedy - it's a far cry from it. For me, it was torture to watch it; very depressing indeed

Okayy lets all agree mother parenting is not same as father parenting....from the aunts character trust me shes the type who would say" l fed you from day one when your daddy left you,be grateful".....but this man loves his kid unconditionally and does everything to be there....his not self absorbed from grief his only trying to keep his wife love and him alive

I just don"t know about the message of this movie, but after 32 minutes, the father of the baby has shown on one hand, responsability on feeding her and keeping her close by, but on the other hand, he is so stupid... je. Let see how this ends. And I agree, this is anything but a comedy. Who ever sees comedy here, is an empty fool, with aaaaall do respect.

For me the movie was hard hitting, but some parts were not realistic. For instance, the depict the father to be self absorbed, and does seem to be otherwise distracted. A rightful point where any legal matters would vote against him if contested.
most frustrating part is that this movie is categorized as romantic comedy, which i am still wondering why? The movie is far from being a comedy, unless you are expecting people to be heartless and laugh at the sad situations they depict.
