glitches like these creep me out for some reason. the double jump looks so unnatural. i just finished the trilogy and it is toooo weird not hearing the gem sound and watching spyro defy all boundaries like that. ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
I was blown away when you entered Dragon Shores before beating Ripto! I also couldn't believe you got the permanent super flame powerup without getting 10,000 gems! You are a GOD!!
You've done a 0 orbs/0 gems/0 abilities + Global Moneybags skip run, but do you think you can also do a 14 talisman/0 orbs/0 gems/0 abilities + Global Moneybags skip run as well? I just like seeing more of the levels being played in that 0 orbs/0 gems/0 abilities + Global Moneybags skip style than just the home worlds alone, while also seeing how you're going to get all 14 talismans in the process, without collecting a single gem.
Well, you can collect talismans after beating Ripto, everything should be unlocked after Ripto, but if you want to do it before Ripto, I think you can use glitches like double jump to get across levels.
Well, technically you can only collect 12 talismans without paying Moneybags, before defeating Ripto, and then have to come back for Zephyr and Shady Oasis after defeating Ripto, when Moneybags is gone. You can collect 13 talismans without paying Moneybags, before defeating Ripto, if you're able to successfully pull off a Enter Zephyr from out of bounds glitch, but it uses the Gulp skip glitch as a base for setting up for the Enter Zephyr from out of bounds glitch, so it's much faster to just skip to Gulp and leave Zephyr behind and come back for it after defeating Ripto, than it is to do the Enter Zephyr from out of bounds glitch. Either way, you'll still have to come back, at least for Shady Oasis. And for it to be a 0 orbs/0 gems/0 abilities/14 talismans + Global Moneybags skip run, that means not collecting a single gem or orb the entire game, even after defeating Ripto and gaining access to Zephyr and Shady Oasis. So you have to collect only the talisman, from those 2 levels as well, and still have to end up with 0 orbs/0 gems.
It's actually possible to get 8,333 gems and 51 orbs without paying Moneybags, before defeating Ripto, and before stepping foot into Dragon Shores, and without having the permanent fireball. That includes the 9 gems that are underwater in Breeze Harbor that can be gotten via the zombie mode glitch to allow Spyro to walk underwater, but doesn't include the following: - 13 gems that are underwater in Autumn Plains - 7 gems that are inside the Shady Oasis castle - 400 gems that are in Zephyr - 400 gems that are in Shady Oasis - 400 gems that are in Icy Speedway - 376 gems that are below the first elevator in Metropolis - 25 gems that are inside a headbash container in Cloud Temples - 11 gems that are inside rocks in Winter Tundra - 35 gems that are inside a headbash container in Winter Tundra The list of orbs not included in those 51 orbs, are as follows: - The orb in Fracture Hills where Hunter darts the Earthshapers and Spyro headbashes them - All 4 orbs in Metropolis - All 4 orbs in Zephyr - The orb in Icy Speedway - Both orbs in Shady Oasis - The orb that is inside the huge rock in Winter Tundra So the plan is for it to be a speedrun consisting of getting the maximum 8,333 gems and 51 orbs that are possible without paying Moneybags, before defeating Ripto, and before stepping foot into Dragon Shores. And as a bonus, if you're able to do the Enter Zephyr from out of bounds glitch, then you can get 8,733 gems and 55 orbs, and if you're able to also get the gems that are underwater in Autumn Plains by walking underwater from out of bounds, instead of from falling through the surface, then you can get 8,746 gems and 55 orbs, before defeating Ripto, and before stepping foot into Dragon Shores. Both of those glitches are insanely hard to pull off, and are variants of the Gulp skip, but where instead of skipping straight to Gulp directly, you land on another series of stairs, clipped, and higher up on the stairs, clipped, until you're clipped on the stairs closest to Scorch, and then do a out of bounds glide, and go underneath the level to the Zephyr loading zone, or, alternatively, into the side of the Autumn Plains swimming pool to walk underwater. Another bonus, is being able to enter the front gate of Dragon Shores legitimately, after entering Dragon Shores from underneath, after having gotten at least 8,000 gems and 55 orbs, without paying Moneybags, before defeating Ripto, and before stepping foot into Dragon Shores. Then you can expand it into a 100% run from there, by gaining access to all abilities, via the Dragon Shores theater, without having to have had to glitch over the wall to the outside boundaries of the Dragon Shores park.
This is literally the only way in which the super fire breath can be useful. I've seen the exact same speedrun (albeit TAS and thus highly optimized) somewhere else.
A 100% Speedrun with a no-spark-challange would be funny, not only because after 1 hit you are done but because he collects many jewels. Collecting each by hand might be time consuming and watching Speedrun ER dying inside because of that sounds hilarious
Tech6hutch Do you know how that's achievable and can you please tell me how to be able to get through and not having to pay for stuff like that in the game? I have had this thought for years now but I could never think of a solution. Thanks in advance Markhoss
I've done the two boss skips unfilmed, as in not on my YT channel. I dont recommend it unless using a bragging rights save as in "I did this". Skipping to gulp boss and ripto boss is painful and there are no simpler ways of going about it
I have been looking for something like this for a very long time and thought this hasn't been done before so you're the first to show me that there is some hope in terms of similarities and I thank you for that. To be able to do this it really requires some detailed thinking to get to this stage of completing everything and it involves a lot of experimenting and experience with fails to get to the next level pushing the boundaries and perhaps even creating something of your own. Even though I can't exactly use cheat engine with hex editing just yet at least I have the mindset and ambition so I believe I am capable but I need to stop using "the trial and error method" and really open my mind to other options in order to be able to advance further. In a long time I haven't surprised myself but rather it's always been an idea and a dream. This was a great video and by now you must be an expert in this stuff!
Tbh the infinite fireball thingy is only useful, when you're doing stuff like this. Like, you can only get that thing by beating the WHOLE game, you know, collecting all the gems and orbs. What's the point afterwards? Oh well.
@@datbootlegger Yeah, but they wanted it so you complete the game before using it, therefore, if you get it, there's no point other than going back to the levels and beating them easier.
Does beating Ripto remove the moneybags? In Spyro 3 you try to skip as many as you can and some of them you cannot so you get everything thats possible without him which is subsequently enough to get to the sorceress boss battle and after beating her you don't have moneybags in the places were you left him... does this work on this game?
Depends on the game. If it's Spyro 2, then defeating Ripto removes Moneybags. If it's Spyro 3, then defeating the Sorceress doesn't immediately remove Moneybags, but allows you to chase down Moneybags and kick his butt to get your gems back from him, and once you get your gems back from Moneybags, and he gives you an egg, then Moneybags is gone for good.
Atomic_Thomas [Undertale & Urban Exploration] That's true, but a lot of the time when the portal is being stored it's transparent so trying to aim for it would be incredibly difficult
“I’ll be at Dragon Shores by lunchtime.”
Imagine completing the game like that in the Reignited Trilogy
StanleyHere Won't be possible.
Glitches are being fixed.
Cant... The double jump isnt even possible there. Its ps1 exclusive 😂😂..
"glitches are being fixed".
EZScape did it
This guy really knows how to jump-charge in this game..

TheMastergabe yeah caught those. You can hear the audio cut multiple times briefly.
I'm totally gonna try this now. Brings a whole new level of challenge
Ah yes if only i could afford to buy spyro 2 for my ps1. I am poor :(
@@yourlocalwierdo8936 You can just emulate it?

Homeboy!
fuck ya 2 of the best things, Spyro and Rob Scallon
Soooooooo unexpected. Nice to meet you here, Rob.
Accurate.
Spyro 2 but the portal from the beginnig actually takes him to dragon shores
Heh, well I will have to assume this is the best speed run I've ever seen of Spyro 2. Good work man
so that's where you've been hiding for the past 20 years, huh?
Jk
6:19 okay let's see Gulps fight 6:21 what the fuck?!

so its a plan for 100% without paying moneybags ? idk if it would count in speedrun, because i think we should get the gems and orb first

- 11 gems that are inside rocks in Winter Tundra
- 35 gems that are inside a headbash container in Winter Tundra
The list of orbs not included in those 51 orbs, are as follows:
- The orb in Fracture Hills where Hunter darts the Earthshapers and Spyro headbashes them
- All 4 orbs in Metropolis

4:30 Can't Do it?!?!?! AHHHH -_-
How?!
But wouldn't getting the fireball mean as getting an ability?
No, climbing and swimming are abilities. That one is just a power up. However, it is not necessary having it to defeat Ripto.
Also, you don't have to pay for it.
Tech6hutch Do you know how that's achievable and can you please tell me how to be able to get through and not having to pay for stuff like that in the game? I have had this thought for years now but I could never think of a solution. Thanks in advance Markhoss
