I love that we got to see stuff they off-screened in the manga like Zoro vs. Mr. 7. I was not expecting them to make it so clear that Zoro has killed people. It’s more ambiguous in the source material. And I love how they did the wanted posters!
It’s savage that the best actors are clearly Helmeppo and Zoro’s actors. I mean luffy and everyone else is great but the way they were written is subtlety off, to the point where I question if we are in oda’s “bad reality” straw hats in the live action. They were clear that luffy didn’t get Zoro’s swords, zoro did. Which seems like an alternate time line.

Zoro has a more active goal than anyone else to be fair, a goal that walks around and interacts with them directly in season 1. It's interesting to think how Zoro is the opposite of Usopp in a lot of ways.

Only complaints I had about the 1st episode was I didn't like Coby's actor. He stayed having the same facial expression then entire season. Bennie's actor could have been better too dude was built like a retired gym teacher

I watched the whole season. I love it ! They really put a lot of effort in this to keep it original. If you watch this in Japanese then is like are watching the anime.
They made Luffy look pretty weak in this adaptation, cut out him punching the Sea Beast and struggling against some East Blue mooks or easily beating Morgan but I understand if it's to sell the underdog needing teamwork narrative to the mainstream audiences and hopefully in season 2 he gets strong.
