6:45 I can answer a possible scenario here. The contractor that built the house warned a higher up that there was a pole in the way and the higher up didn't care, or didn't understand the implication, or didn't even believe the lowly construction worker and said just do your job .... and this was the result.
That bus one makes me think of the office where I get bloodwork done. The emergency assistance button is at exactly the right placement behind the chair you sit in to get blood drawn that if you lay your head back either in fear or relaxation, or are not sitting bolt upright, you will hit tje button with the back of your head. I have set off that alarm EVERY 3 months for the last 2 years
10:35 pretty simple why they can't be sued. They get a technical drawing or an order with a specific location from the customer. If the customer puts the driveway where a permanent structure is it's not the contractors fault for doing what they are contracted for. A good contractor would however go to the client and ask if they are really sure that this is indeed what they want but they can't just change it without permission from the customer
The glass bathroom is more than likely an example of a pretty cool technology trick: it's only clear when electrically inert. Add an electric current and you get an instant fogged/sandblasted appearance, or even fully opaque, if desired. (they make some that also just darken/tint) I first saw it decades ago in a restaurant in Florida, USA in or around Palm Beach, just north of Miami. Spooked me out until I locked the door, which triggered the instant privacy system. Mind was blown.

2:27 nah, I’ve leaned my head against the wall and it signalled a stop. Apparently, my head pushed the cord…
4:08 they're cooking the hot dogs, sous vide style. Literally just boiling food, isolated in a bag, in water.
6:05 Might it be to show that the glasses distort the percieved image in a way they're not supposed to? (Or maybe it's normal for glasses to make everything slightly bigger, idk)
Wait is this from the onejob subreddit or a bad design subreddit? Damnit thumbnail creator, you had one job!
8:50 yeah, that's probably continental contractors trying to install Britbonger outlets.
You see, Europlugs can go on that level no problem. You just point the cable up and in she goes.
But British plugs are unidirectional, so you cannot plug them in at that level.
The white line: the painting equipment is usually a little gas powered mobility cart with a hopper for the beads and a spray paint system on it, it wobbles around. I got a little jiggle out in front of my house from where one wheel on one dropped down on a manhole cover.
I feel like the outer part of the car diagram isn't metal
It's some sort of shell that the car periodically sheds as it grows
Like a lizard
I get what you mean, but lizards don't have shells. Cicadas or lobsters would be a better choice for that sentence.
@@Doub1eSpark I know but I'm tired from being sick rn and couldn't remember if lobsters did that so I just put lizards
@@SpineBones fair enough lol
Although a shelled garden lizard is a reality I wanna live in now. Imagine a skinny turtle that can climb walls and change colors.
1:42 The glass bathroom locks from the outside
For the buses, they still use the cords, but also have buttons. They're flat though, so you have to press them in with a finger. You can't press them in accidentally. They work very well.
8:52 - Clearly whatever electrician installed that socket needs more training lol. Worst thing is this kinda looks like a commercial setup too, the socket should never be that close to the floor. I've never seen one set up like that before
12:05 That lighting being too clean and the oddly smooth texture of everything makes that look like an AI-generated image.
2:27 Portland OR busses still use these!! When I was going to University of Portland I relied heavily on the bus lines and pulling those to signal my stop was always fun (this was like a month ago so I doubt they’ve changed)
11:11 i love it when professionals *OFONAUTHCNGTW*
Indubitably this is one of the best Emkay videos.
2:15 i rode a bus with one of those pull cables for the first time a few months ago. it was at a ski resort and, being an American Youngin, i dont really know how common they are. i was so scared because id never ridden a bus like that and they said "pull the cable to signal your stop!" LIKE 10 SECONDS BEFORE MY STOP AND I COULDNT FIND THE CABLE
They definitely still exist in my area
I’m sorry what
How have you not seen that I’m so confused
@@DeckedSneeze709 My part of this Damned 'Murica got NO public transit bro 😭
9:04, just got to say that we got grounded type C plugs. Atleast here in Sweden
the "give meth eggs" is probably one of those crappy things where youre supposed to read the first letter of one word as the last letter of the word before it
like, "give me theggs", supposed to be read as "give me the eggs" but its just bad and doesnt work ngl
The cards were delivered and put against his door. By bad design, the door opens outwards and 3 ft away from the stairs.
5:35 Give me the eggs. It says give me the eggs.
5:12 the clock is, indeed, upside down
not quite it's worse than that it's almost upside down looks off by around 2-3 mins or so worth of time
It's so upside down that flipping it would cause the six (VI) would become a sort of "IA"
This clock is awful
9:22 i'm a little lad who loves carrots and peas 🕺
0:14 I get the feeling the chain was originally looped through to stop cars and such but someone got lazy and just hooked it over the top to keep the gate vaguely closed

fun fact about pizza cutters..(10:00)
Scissors are better.
I don't even have a pizza cutter
Fun fact for poor people:
Knives work perfectly fine as well if you're poor!
Probably 🤷♂
How foolish.. just use your hands
Growing up we had pizza scissors
10:19 My eyes unfocused and crossed for a few seconds, so when they readjusted, I was just gobsmacked. The other one I can understand, maybe someone thought it could an odd defense mechanism if someone’s chasing you, but this?! Where have the smart people gone?

art is anal tho
...is it not?
When your piece of art doesn’t look quite right and you don’t know why, then yes it’s a pain in the ass.
Some art professors agree.
Same🤣😂😁😄😃😀🙂😐😕🙁☹️😦😥😢😭
01:39 remeber the public toilet stall made of one-way mirrors. meaning you can sit there taking a huge dump while watching everyone in the pedestrian zone jsut walk by.
2:20 every bus iv rode in Canada New brunswick uses both buttons and pull cords. I actualy once hit the button because of all places it was on a grip pole.
4:30 I understand why Americans or Brits would be confused, as I certainly have never seen them there, but there very much are cycles made for disabled people. They're relatively common in places like Netherland or Germany. For people with limited or no leg mobility, they are generally reclined or lie-down tricycles with special hand cranks for steering and pedalling
Do these people think “it’s technically what boss wanted” or “I did something today so I am done”
Ummm...
Did anyone else notice that the bathroom with glass walls also had a lock with key in, that looks like it only locks from outside??
Just, what exactly is the purpose of a glass room that only locks from outside?
With a toilet in it??
Gives me seriously uneasy vibes...
4:20 I’m guessing they did this to prevent the flavor from boiling out, but they clearly have a pot. Just fry them!
Ppl at Emkay need to go back to how they used to be.
1. Add the subreddit in the title
2. Fanart
3. Title screens
0:24
Two possibilities
1) legal deterrent
2) car deterrent
6:45 I can answer a possible scenario here. The contractor that built the house warned a higher up that there was a pole in the way and the higher up didn't care, or didn't understand the implication, or didn't even believe the lowly construction worker and said just do your job .... and this was the result.
I swear everyone had/has one of those city carpets
14:13 It's "Physiotools", which is a thing. Whatever that thing is, I have no idea.
0:52 I started to read something else the longer I looked at the image 😂

The glass bathroom is more than likely an example of a pretty cool technology trick: it's only clear when electrically inert. Add an electric current and you get an instant fogged/sandblasted appearance, or even fully opaque, if desired. (they make some that also just darken/tint) I first saw it decades ago in a restaurant in Florida, USA in or around Palm Beach, just north of Miami. Spooked me out until I locked the door, which triggered the instant privacy system. Mind was blown.
5:29 it’s obviously give me th eggs 😂
10:10 who the actual fuck owns a pizza cutter when scissors exist....
True
Or knives!
Why they fuck would I ruin a perfectly good pair of scissors when Pizza Cutters exist?
@@Nightfire613How does it ruin scissors? Scissors are washable.
Dulls the blade if it's not made for cutting dough. Kitchen scissors are pricey but if you take my sewing scissors near food I will reintroduce you two more intimately this time. @@RenTheWren
I can say from experience that things are overlooked on design drawings all the time.
I have also seen the standard response to this to be the contractors saying "we were told to build it this way so we did"
And I am 99% blaming the person who made the designs

4:02 I know why it's a bad design his door is right next to the stairs you can see it in the corner

0:45 I live right next door to that, drove past it a few hours ago, its in exeter and is near the Vue cinema on sidwell street
I’ve been riding my city’s local MAX Transit buses to and from work, and they all have pull cords.
The glass for that toilet stall may turn opaque when the door is locked, giving privacy to the user.
I won't deny that there's a chance that I do in fact own a pizza cutter and I have just forgotten about it, but why bother when a knife does the job just fine?
