So great to see both Cody and Cole having integrity and calling themselves out, instead of what went down in the last game with Tyler. Respect.
Agreed. we needed this. Honestly one of the best games prolly. Love both skaters and glad to see them both wanting to earn the win fair and without doubt. That's what deserves respect.
tyler was dirty asf not professional to not call a redo when touching ground
Tyler needs to speak up and apologize or something, pretty much all skateboarding lost respect for him last round.
@@Housetian2 it's too late now
Pretty sure most skaters now will call their mistakes because of happened in Tyler's match.
Props to Cody for calling himself out for a redo. You can feel when you don’t do a trick properly. Even if the ref doesn’t catch it, you still feel it. His demonstration of personal integrity is worth far more than a letter in a game of SKATE.
Cole also did it.
I think his heel touched
That Tyler guy should take out his notebook
Hey jesus see both sides! They both did it
you could see he immediately regretted it though
Cody's probably bummed he missed the redo he called himself on, but dudes an honest humble opponent. I'm always hoping he wins.
Both players have integrity and didn't want to have a sloppy ass trick be called as a make. Imagine someone else had the same self respect
An absolute pleasure to see after Peterson's poor sportsmanship
It was a heel drag and the kid was already getting ready to call it he had the whistle in hand so it would have played out the same. Class move nonetheless.
Yesss
@@longleaf0 It also has the amusing effect of making Peterson look *even worse* by comparison.
It was like night and day between the two matches...
That Backside 360 Kickflip from Chris Cole was a thing of beauty.
Favorite trick that he always does
Yesssss
The fact that he’s pretty much the originator of that trick is what makes it great
@@tylerp3327bruh. People have been doing bs 360 kickflips for decades, before Cole could even do a kickflip. 😂
@@astuteandy that’s why I said PRETTY MUCH. No one was doing blizzards down big gaps before Cole. Don’t be foolish.
Hands down best game of the season.
One of the best in history.
Levi vs Nick was pretty insane too
Cole vs. Suciu though…
Good sportsmanship sure. But a bit boring too
Cole v Suciu
Cody was too much of a gentleman, didn't even start with the doubles. Best game yet of this season.
Cost him the game. Played too nice imo. Good game though.
NOT A SINGLE DOUBLE FLIP IN THIS GAME. LOVE IT
Also thought he was nice for not doing a fakie hardflip after cole missed the hardflip
@@PaintGuythey both played very nice. Cole’s bag of things only he’s ever done (and that he still has on lock) is pretty extensive.
@@frozennorth3426 I'm impressed by how effortless he lands almost all 360 variations. Dude's a beast.
Respect to Cody for redoing that f/s biggerspin because I would have counted it and it cost him the game. It was nice to see after Tyler and the refs b.s call last week. Cole is a monster to make finals night at his age. Rooting for Nick to win the whole thing because I’d like someone new to win and I used to love Majer back in the day.
Wait. What happenes to Jamie????
Glad to see someone else mention Majer. Lots of cold ass Winters here in the midwest watching those guys enjoy the Southern warmth with games of skate. Im routine for Nick as well... dudes made it happen.
Nick winning would be dope, but i'm sorry, i doubt he can beat Jamie 😅i'm fine with Jamie winning again, he's very consistent, his style is clean and his tricks are dope and unique
@@ipo7596 Jamie and Luan haven’t played yet so I have no idea.
@@Nherdvous I had the same experience living in South Dakota in high school, Majer was my go to every week. Majer Mondays and Skate Saturdays were dope and I genuinely enjoyed each member of the crew.
41 years old and still whoopin’ ass 😂
Facts
That’s still prime
Skates like a 21 year old
I laughed at Cole's last trick. Like he just did it like it is what it is. Hahaha
true. I was laughing too, like "wth??" Hahaha deathblow indeed.
@@ronaldbryanrance7997 the most silent, underwhelming deathblow. I love it
Real Gs move in silence
I had to go and slow it down to .25 and watch it a few times. Im still not sure how. lol
samee bro hajaj
Much respect for both of them for redoing their tricks when they knew they didn't land clean. That's what's up!
chris had one he should've redone honestly but it was a gg nonetheless.
Still crazy as hell to me that Cole was an inspiration to me as a kid, here I am a grown man and this guy is still skating his ass off, hope he wins it this year!
That comeback and FILTHY death blow was perfect. Unreal. GOAT.
You know it's a good game when not only it gotten to T to T but you truly don't know who's going to take it home.
Unless the first comment spoils the game haha. Sometimes you get lucky but other times you can't avoid spoilers
@@random__joeif you’re on computer maybe, but on the phone just cover the bottom half of the screen with your hand until you get into full screen.
Cody’s style has improved so much since he first came on. I wasn’t a fan of him beating my guy Luan TWICE 😂 but found myself kinda rooting for him & Chris in this game. GG, Cody. Kinda surprised he didn’t pull off his double flips. Beautiful gentleman’s game fellas!
Was thinking the same thing. Was super stoked to see him skating faster and popping higher
Gentlemens game until cole with the last trick lol
When he beat Luan I took it personally
Gentleman’s game. Love to see it for once!
Legends. For real, both of these dudes.
that one could have gone either way what a match huh
You're getting there too, love your style Zach.
Another legend in the making is you dude💪 . Btw, I laughed when I watch you thumbs up to all andy anderson vs Torey tricks even another 2 judges still think about decision.
The fact that Cody is considered a legend is legendary
Chris Cole has the best combination of class, style and work ethic. Congrats!
100%.. living legend
yep, all while mixing tech and beast. the complete package of a street skater.
Great game, played with honor and great fairplay. Cody maybe was a little too gentle, avoiding double flips that Cole doesn't like much, Two champions!
you get the chance to VS a legend like chris cole you better as hell play with some dignity. love that
He will sure as hell face double flips against Holt
All that dignity for Cole to do him dirty in the end with a stupid finisher.
I wonder if Tyler Peterson lost a significant amount of fans last week for not calling himself out on the toe drag. The ref can’t see everything but you can “feel” it when it happens and didn’t say anything.
Definitely took the fun out this batb it was going good this year
Hope he did, these 2 are ogs every new guy that goes to caurima has 0 honor
@@patrickalexanderlucasvande4214true that homie way too many yuma boys in this contest
He should say something and apologize to some fans. People will forget and forgive him. Let's be real. The berrics had a lot to do with this anyway.
I definitely respect these guys more for being more humble and honest, but it's a competition with rules and money on the line, i don't respect Tyler any less for letting the ref make the decision and playing by that
Best battle of the year. Now for Cole to beat Peterson for the principle.
Glad to see some integrity. Didn’t even need the ref.
Agreed!
But it's still worth noting that this kid has yet to make ANY reffing mistakes in the games he's worked.
In my opinion, he should be doing every game. He's *easily* the most consistent and fair that I've seen in BATB.
Now that makes up for last week. Cody cleans it up like a champ, no ref call needed, even though it might (and did) cost him the win. Epic match, killer comeback. Two kings. Respect.
what a great and fair battle. Cole is still on the top of his game. me so happy.
Both these guys are sooo consistent at nearly everything and always stay humble and down to earth. Its a shame someone had to lose this one
Great game. Chris was skating like he's not 100%, recovering from an injury maybe? Amazing he still came back to win against Cody. Chris is a machine.
What? He was skating flat better than ever.
Another Berrics video he said hes injured and on a bigger street board with bigger wheels. Hes working on a Zero part, so wouldnt be surprised if hes beat up lol
But to be fair he always skates like hes bored. Its just his style
@@Steez.E27he rub his leg like his leg hurt at this match
@heyman620 he doesn't pop at all.. looks awful. But he's way passed his prime so it's understandable. If anyone else was not popping like him ppl would be crying
That nollie big flip was BIG, felt like everything was in slow motion.
Cody had a Sewa moment this game.
You're my man! Never forget them true humble legends!
@@dans2833 that's debatable, PJ and rodney mullen are up there too
A diferença de Honestidade entre eles e o Tyler é gigantesca. Máximo Respeito
Cole's back 360 heel 🤤 🔥
I love how Chris still can’t do normal hard flip but busts out the switch hard flip like nothing
True champs, both of them. Great game
Both guys demonstrating sportsmanship and integrity. Chris did the Switch fs Heelflip and felt nah that's not it and cleaned it up. Then you could see how Cody felt bad for not getting
called out by the ref for his Switch Bigspin Kickflip, so he redid the Switch fs Bigger Spin by himself. All props to these guys, especially after last week's charade
Stoked for Chris, but Cody definitely got that first switch front biggerspin
Yeah he did... but he toe dragged bud
Props to him for calling himself out for it. You can feel when you didn’t do a trick properly. Even if the ref doesn’t catch it, you still feel it. His demonstration of personal integrity is worth far more than a letter in a game of SKATE.
its fine they are both champs
@@andrewcowles8785 you mean heel dragged, but theres no way for us to see that, you can land a trick on the ball of your feet and have your heel bounce over the side over ur deck, doesnt mean that it hit the ground tho. think cody did a re bc he thought it was sketch.
don't think it was drag tho.
Nopeee he dragged it
The great reffing and humility for waiting for the skaters to redo themselves is greatly appreciated
Cody making Chris look small is hilarious. Cole is huge
The fact that Chris Cole is in his 40s and still plays games of skate this good will always amaze me. I’m not even 30 and a lot of those crazy explosive tricks make my joints hurt just thinking about trying.
best game yet. What a comeback
That was a crazy game! And props to Cody for not trying to sneak that heel touch by everyone, gentleman’s redo. Just awesome
What a fantastic game! This is what we like to see. Two dudes playing fair and square and having a good time.
This was a game we all needed and wanted to watch. Two goats face to face. Humble guys who gave their best.
Chris Cole look steezy with his halloween colors
Being the same age as Chris, I love that he’s flying the flag high for us old people! 😂 Great showing from Cody as well.
Calling yourself out to redo a trick on defense when you're losing, and then still go on to win. 😎
But also calling redo on a death blow that would have won you the game.
Great fair game from both.
These are the games i love. Where you can see both sides just out here having fun
Dude im smiling while watching this game much love for both Champion 🙇🏾♂️
Ahhhh Cody! 😔 I would have counted that fs 540 Bigspin personally. Shame to see you miss out due to a much smaller heel tap compared to that shocking entire foot drag Tyler was allowed against Joslin. But great skating from both guys and fair play 👊🏻
offense defense
Cody got some mad catch! Can't believe Chris got this. Damn good match.
yeah they went down to SKAT
The crazy game aside, is it just me or is Codys style so damn dope nowadays, everythings done with so much pop man
What a comeback!!!!!! Respect to both for a proper game!!!!💥🔨
holy sheeeeet this was an amazing battle.. i was on the edge of my seat hootin' and hollarin'.. epic from both skaters!
Nice fairplay from Cody on the switch frontside bigger spin !
Definitely a classic Berrics matchup and mos-def will be highlighted as such later! What a come back and amazing combination of talent between Chris & Cody... heck yeah - this was EPIC!!!
Chris Cole is like a galloping gazelle. Moves with such grace.
I love the guy, but to me has the fluidity of a ladder🪜
both legends of SKATE in my book. that was crazy still seeing all that after all these years.
Cody most stand up guy in all of skateboarding, props
Those nollie 360 heelflips used to be a Cole signature trick. Seems like everyone know how to do them now.
But crazy that Cole still has so many crazy tricks in his bag
Flippin' amazing game and my fave so far.
Thanks for everyone's efforts and the crowd was a smidge better too
Meus amigos q game 😮😮 ❤
A battle I would expect from two pros with BATB banners so damn consistent we are fortunate to have matches like this ❤
Excellent gane and very good ref. Hands down one of my favs. Chris is the goat. He looks hungry on this one. Go cole for the finals
Chris Cole!!!!!!!!!! I hope he takes the crown. Would be awesome to watch a 73 yo win!
Mano!!!! Ambos ganharam SLK!!!!
Mais o 540 bigerspin acho que saiu clean 💯💯
Chris Coles switch v flip at 4:50 is a perfect example of a pro not feeling comfortable with a trick but having such a vast muscle memory and feel for the board he sends it like its nothing.
I came in really gunning for the former champ C.C. to win, but after watching the game, I’m just as stoked that C.C. won instead. It’ll be great to see him shoot for that second championship 🥇 🥇
Did you mean for this to be so confusing?
@@antoniodominguezjr4734 I think he forgot they have the same initials
@@Spanglerification This is completely on purpose lol
I laughed way too hard at this
@@Spanglerification na. Another reason though, both of them have won BATB! So I think he meant the first C.C. to be Cody, even though Chris also is a previous champ (BATB 2). And the second C.C. Is Chris?
Cole is a OG hands dwn. Hes the only one who has full rights to cutting it off like that..haha.that cole special back 3 flip!! And they both have a ring,
Cody could've gone with the 540 shuvs or doubleflips, but he played a solid game nonetheless. Honorable dude, I love watching him compete.
Cole with that old school treachery!! Great game!
foi insano 👏🏾👏🏾
This is one of the best games I have seen in a while
I think Cody got robbed but Chris is my favorite skater lol
Bro how he got robbed? He got beat fair and square
It's fair game man. They both played very well. And they both had the initiative to redo their own tricks.
He literally called himself out… so… he robbed himself 🤔?
on the biggerspin? his foot was on the ground.
Now this is a humble, wholesome, and incredible game of skate. As far as I’m concerned these guys are the pinnacle of flatground. Maybe a few others like PJ Ladd, Sewa Kroetkov, and Shane Oneill - but they just have the perfect mix of tech, style, and consistency. It’s actually insane that Cole is still ripping like this at 41
Is Chris considered a god father of skating.?
Ever heard of rodney mullen?
He isn't by like 40 years.
Can't wait for the next game between Luan and Jamie!!!!
I hope luan doesn't miss
Love the trick breakdown at the end! Maybe have peeps come back and analyze their sessions!
One the best games in this tourney, great to see them both doing so well. Great job Chris.
That was a sick game by both Pros. Props to Cody for the redo. Cole is insane, his flatground is still as good as it was a decade ago.
love to see a game of skate played like this. so much talent mixed with equal amounts of integrity
Pure class by both athletes. True creative, artistic sporting greatness. Thoroughly enjoyed this serious, no BS match. Skateboarding as a discipline has so many sides. Thanks BATB for showcasing this one. ❤
Thanks Realskatestories for all you publish. You're a historic treasure trove!!
the amount of talent showcased in these battles is just so unreal, some of the best skate content online bar none!
That death blow was insanely clean
Such a quality game
I legit felt honored to watch it lol
OMG, this game was INSANE! Both are so amazing!
Awesome game both guys are super good. I didn't know who to pick but I'm still happy Chris Cole is making it happen
EPIC Game, cole is a Legend !!!
Coles explanation at the end was the deathblow...hardest trick of the game😂😂
Enjoyed everything about this edit
Best battle yet. Props to Cody for the redo, and also for Cole to keeping pace up at his age. Unreal!!!
Strong game!!! Both winners in my book, insane display of flatground skills and keeping it real. As always in skateboarding, in not just what you do but how you do it. Thanks Chris and Cody!🤜🤛
This makes me so happy. I love both these skaters but Cole has been my favorite skater since dying to live. Crazy he’s still good enough to beat a champ in their prime
You can tell Cody didn't want to double flip his way through Cole. Mad respect for redoing the swfs biggerspin, the back of the foot barley touched and he still re-did it. Great game.
Always good seeing Chris Cole win a game of SKATE
It's crazy how I used to watch coles vids and buy his boards like 15 years ago...... still goated
Nothing gets me happy like watching an old wizard holding it down!
bro I love how much cody humbled himself in these and plays long games now.. I swear he used to play cut throat lmao, but he’s always killed it
Cost him the win tho. Can't do that against Cole. Play to win.
Cole possibly taking the whole thing? Dark horse.
Wow. Didn't expect Cole to come back like that against Cody, never doubt one of the goats. Props to both
Lmao at Cole's dagger, wasnt expecting that at all 😂
With all that has been said, this was one of the most fulfilling battles ever.
A rollercoaster of emotion! Damn, that was a sick game.
