.an amateur horn player here, I play this piece on my horn and was looking to solve some accentuation in Sarabande and Minuet but I find myself playing this video again and again... Phenomenal musicianship!!!
I’ve been listening to this once, sometimes twice daily for the past few weeks. What a wonderful interpretation of Bach. Her ornamentation choices are dazzling without being overpowering, string crossings are super clean, and her intonation is flawless! And let’s not forget her attention to rhythm, either. A trap I fall into with my playing happens when I fall in love with certain notes too much and hold them for excessive emphasis, especially on the gorgeous rolling chords. But these pieces are *dances* first and foremost, and they have got to *move*! I know her interpretation is spot on because listening to this, I feel like dancing. And I don’t even like dancing! I especially love hearing this on a proper Baroque cello with gut strings. Also kudos to the camera, audio, and editing crew. Superb show from everyone involved, bravissimo! ❤
as a music student, i just can say that i´m so much inspired by thinking she was student in the past, and now she is that free to give us that expression of her heart
My compliments to Eva! I've cherished these suites for more than 40 years now. It's good to see younger generations raising the level of playing and musical understanding. Wonderful job done, looking forward to hear the others suites performed so freshly.
I love everything about this recording. The playing is brilliant. The sound of this cello is sonorous but clear and sumptuous. The recording is magnificent. I have a stupid amount of recordings of these pieces, and this rates with the best of them for musicianship and sound quality. I'm just mesmerized by the sound quality of this instrument and the playing. Brava, first rate, as usual. Happy Birthday J.S...
I have heard so many versions of Bach cello suites. This period performance ranks up there with the very best. There is a kind of free flowing quality when played with the Baroque bow, combined with your amazing talents. Can we have all six please?
Very beautiful playing! Also very nice video recording. Can I ask what equipments is used for making this video production? Type of camera’s and microphones.
Hi Marcus, the Cameras were Lumix GH5, G85 and Sony ax100 and ax700. Microphones were Sennheiser MKH40, MKH800, Schoeps MK21 MK2H MK41 and two ribbon mics of our design. The Lumix G85 is a very good inexpensive choice, image is more or less the same as the GH5.
I'm playing this piece with my theorbo and it's clearly not made to be played with theorbo. It's a beautiful piece but it's very difficult to play on theorbo
Prelude 0:00 ❄ Allemande 4:00 ❄ Courante 7:17 ❄ Sarabande 9:21 ❄ Menuet 13:30 ❄ Gigue 16:54
This performance is something out of this world. Sound quality is insane too.

This is exceptionally fine cello playing...musicianship of the highest order.
Thanks so much!
Voices of Music No problem. Thank you for posting.

Many thanks!
Her style. It's always such bliss noticing and enjoying how different cellists play the same pieces and her style is my favourite in this piece
Wonderful playing, all respects to other players and recordings, but, that performance just shone. Thank you.
Amazing rendition. The Prelude and Sarabande... wow.
Magnificent playing, outstanding musicianship, superb recording. Thank you.
I mean... I've listened to Mischa Maisky because he is good, but this girl.... come on! Bach would be proud of her!
Spiritual balm. Encourages introspection. It's no wonder Tarkovsky chose Bach's music so often.

One of best Interpretations of my favorite Suites! ❤ Thank You ❤
Amazing, one of the best version of the Suite 2 ever. I'm in love. Thank you !
Magnifique. Technicité, son, maîtrise du phrasé et compréhension de l'harmonie sous-jacente... Magistral !
Одно из самых лучших исполнений, которое я когда-либо слышал! Спасибо.
Sencillamente maravillosa cellista, articulaciòn y tempo perfectos!!
Heartbraking and beautiful.
What a lovely recording!
Absolutely wonderful. It's my dream to watch you guys live one day.
I am stonish. The execution was better than Antonio Menezes, for my taste, I thought bee impossible. Congratillation and thank you.!!!
Very warm and deep emotions...🖤😔
absolutely beautiful!!
love how she owns the cello
so ethereal and deep, thank you for this wonderful display of pure art ♥️
That's a really, really, really great rendition of the piece...
I keep listening to this. Thank you.
A superb performance, beautifully played, with convincingly Baroque articulation that never sounds mannered.
Were you using gut strings?
thanks for the video! One of the best performances I've ever heard.
Sublime!! Greetings from Italy 👍
Impressive! Thank you for this amazing demonstration of talent.

Pianicimo Miusic Amor ❤
Respect!
Love it!
Maravilha!
perfect.
Bravo, lovely. DO you always use this low tuning for playing on period instrument?
Sometimes...sometimes a high tuning for Venetian music or an even lower pitch. We use A=370, 415, 440, 466
@@VoicesofMusic Thank you for your reply! I must say the 415Hz. matched this suite well.
Brava!! :D wow

Oh Yes.....
How much is your recording gear worth? What stuff do you use? I'm stunned by every single video you release.
Inspiració, Sublimitat, Déu, BACH.
Very beautiful playing!

Having said that, most of the sound comes from Eva and her cello :)
@@VoicesofMusic thank you very much!
@@VoicesofMusic yes, she plays amazing!
@@VoicesofMusic
The music flows, indeed, from her magic hands and warm heart.
Congrats from Brazil.
Is it just me or are all the notes one half or whole step lower?
Its boroque tunning

Beautiful ! TIMES BETTER than Bylsma
I'm playing this piece with my theorbo and it's clearly not made to be played with theorbo. It's a beautiful piece but it's very difficult to play on theorbo
This prellude is used in the Taiwan cinema " Taipei Story".

大提琴下面是不是没有站脚?她是用腿夹住的?
No endpin--it is the baroque style.
