im calling the shop tomorrow to build this! Curious what you think either flight attendant or keep the genie the frame comes with then just add those red front shocks.
Fantastic looking bike, really love the way the frame looks with the RS and SRAM components. Curious to hear how the RS Super Deluxe compares to the Genie.
Thanks for the info Charlie, so cool to see this detail from a pro. Two questions, with the SJ Evo already having a low bb, do you feel any negatives with the even lower bb on SJ 15? Second question - are you using stock tunes on the fork/shock, or could you share which tunes your running to go along with the suspension settings? Cheers!
Stock tune on both the fork and the shock. I don't know the tune Codes but TP will be able to help you out with those. Message him on Insta or something
Well you earnt to your sponsorship right there! Reality is how many of us "supporters" can justify spending what an s-works retails for? Guess the lower models could come close? All the best for the rest of the session.
He said 182cm in the video. I’m 178 and ran an S4 in the Evo, annoyingly I’m big on S3 small on S4. Found it easier to make S4 slightly smaller than trying to make S3 bigger
@@gazmo147 I’m also 178cm and demo’d an S3 evo 3 months ago and found it a bit cramp. The LBS did not have an S4 available at the time. Definitely need to try before hand. This new one is everything I hoped for…. Glad I waited.
@@daniloleelee7274 they also came with 50mm stems when I got mine and I wanted to go shorter so S3 would have felt even smaller. With a 35 stem and bars cut to 770 it feels fine for me at S4
No mechanical shifting anymore :( Just why, Specialized? Shimano XTR is lighter, cheaper, more reliable, performs equally as good and can never run out of battery.
Bike looks great Chaz! So interesting to see you ride, and do so well on a ”small” bike, when some people in the same race run 170/180 bikes.
Thanks man, love the smaller bikes
Good luck chaz. Going strong. I love my evo. Such a sick bike. Wish you all the best for the last few rounds.
Appreciate it!
Sweet rig chazman had a 2015 stumpy was sic too they have evolved so much always been benchmark too!

You look INSANELY stoked!
Like INSANELY!
😂
Thanks for sharing, very insightful
Looks soo good!
Thanks for sharing! How does TP remove the ends of the Renthal grips to fit the LoamLab Counterpuch bar ends on?
Thanks for sharing!

If I was you I would at least try the genie it comes with and see if you like it! Definitely get a Zeb or Lyrik on the front if you can
@@Chazmaztvthank you
Sick!

Don't mind the lower BB! It makes it super stable. Going to try it with 165mm cranks too and I think that might be the perfect combo.
Hi Charles. Do you have a standard rear shock or a custom tune?
It's a stock tune for the Super Deluxe Air
Well you earnt to your sponsorship right there!

I think any stumpy still perfroms just as well, we raced a non S-works version a few years ago and that went really well too
You said you always run in the low setting. At 0:45 it’s in high!
Yeah noticed that too :D
Yep we hadn't set up this one as it's the training bike. It's in the low now haha
good spotting!
Hey mate, have you tested the new “Linear XL Air Can” against the stock linear can (and if so, any thoughts or comments). Thanks in advance.
He testet all, managed to get them all feel right but stayed at the linear one he also had in the evo
Yep the XL can was pretty good but for some reason I just love my linear SDLX can so I’m sticking with that
how do peeps get the full rockshox build?
You said you tested different settings on the bike, but how did your times compare on the new bike to the old one?
Can you notice the small difference in chainstay length vs the evo ? Cheers
Haven't been able to notice, Is it longer or shorter?
Great video! I may have missed it but what is your weight as it relates to the suspension settings?
80kg
So... Chaz-Maz to ride Enduro on raceday ('25)??
Pretty sure the bb isnt 10mm lower than before.
Okay good to know, we had 7mm from our measurements but maybe some paralax
I’m inbetween sizes. How tall are you?

What size stem are you running? Like Gaz said I'm 182cm and run a 50mm stem
Are you going to race it ?
Sure am!
Why review this new bike without the Genie shock?
because he's a rockshox sponsored athlete
That's fine, Cascade Components will bring the travel back where it needs to be.

100%
Yes!
