Damn, I love Tanner, does what he can to catch the badguy, Endangering public welfare, violation of traffic laws, disturbing the peace, you name it. Best part about this game is that very rarely you get to play an Undercover Cop, and he's undercover in all three of the games
you took me back to my best era of my childhood , i used to spent all the day My friend and my brother tryin' to complete each of these amusement missions . Thank you
When I first saw the train sequence to French Connection in my Film/Video editing class last semester, it was screaming this mission. The makers of Driver 2 had to have been inspired by that scene.
i used to be addicted to this game. this was definitely one of the hardest and longest games ive ever played. If i had my playstation still i would probably still play it.
Mostly through practice, basically memorizing the route that the train goes on. Back when I did this for TH-cam, I remember having to retry once or twice to get myself reacquainted with the route (as I hadn't played undercover mode in a while).
I remember as a kid, I used to get so fucking pissed because I would try for hours to try and hit a pedestrian...But they ALWAYS made it out of the way in time ... xD I loved this game.
oh and better graphics , i would love to see all the cities that were used for drivers 1 and 2 : i would also love to see new missions not just ones you drive in but also shoot . New secret places and so on .
Oh man, Jet Moto, I believe it was one of my first games for my Playstation (it was either Jet Moto or Ridge Racer). I remember me and my brother would kill HOURS on weekends playing Jet Moto! Endless full seasons and custom circuits... Oh man, those were the DAYS! Something about PSX games attracts me to them even to this day! Growing up through the 90's was the shit, not gonna lie :).
For me, I mostly find NES/SNES/Sega and some early PSX games nostalgic. By early PSX games, I mean like Ridge Racer, Jet Moto, Gex, etc. (games from the 1995/1996ish era).
Wow, Hopefully with the next gen technology, the game designers can make a better, more realistic version of Chicago for one of the upcoming driver games.
The engine sound wasn't muted. That was (I guess) my fault for letting go of the X button at the wrong time coming out of the cutscene. The engine sound is there technically, just something probably with the emulator caused the engine sound to go. Believe me, I remember thinking "What the hell..." too haha, but I decided to just go ahead with the recording anyway.
1:29 I just loled hard. I was always dumb enough to take it the hard way down the train's path, never figured it out that i could just take the road to its left -.-
This was my favorite game of all time!! I still have my playstation, but i think i need another cable to connect it otherwise id be playing this now lol.
This has to be my favorite mission, the alleyways when you have to do a little slalom course shit OH CRAP wait, that's hilarious cuz you can keep going across to the street LMFAO I always did this mission the hard way wahahahahah
Yeah, that's how most games this generation are, all good looks and no content. Truthfully, I would kill for it to be 10-15 years ago again when there were awesome games to actually look forward to... Game developers of today need to take their mindsets back to the 1990s where they actually had to focus on the content/story AND making the graphics look as good as they can be in order to fit the complete game on the cartridge/CD/DVD.
Very true game developers bavk in the 90s and early 2000s focused mainly on a great story and missions that felt very different frpm other games of the same genre. Take driver 1 fpr eg the first few missions in miami felt like a typical dr8ving simulator untol you start doing missions that really test your driving skills and knowledge of the map. Games today are great graphics and focus a lot on multiplayer or online functionality
@NostalgiaGamesProd your're absolutely right, most of the good games have been inspired by movies... Rockstar must have watched Scarface and Carlito's Way about 20 times when they made Vice City! Do you do film studies then? recommend it?
Hahaha, ok to everyone wondering where the car sound went, I think I have an answer to that. As soon as the cutscene ended, I let off the accelerator and gassed it again so I guess that cut the engine in the game. It was weird when I was making this because I was like WTF?! But yea, its still legit because you hear other sound effects in the game so I truthfully have no real answer as to why the engine sound was cut during the making of this video : S.
@NostalgiaGamesProd ooh was that!! btw: i love how the action is so slow in driver Driver2 =) it let you feel better the action in my opinion, and good work with the driver videos, this game was the best and driver 3 is ok but could be a lot better.
I guess I let go of the X button at the wrong time coming out of the cutscene. I'm betting it was something with the emulator that caused the engine sound to disappear.
Same, I was expecting Driver SF to rejuvenate the series. I mean, don't get me wrong, it was an awesome game but it wasn't on the level of Driver 1 and 2. There is just a certain quality that the original Driver games have that I haven't seen yet in this generation's Driver games. Hopefully they'll pull through on the next one...
Tanner and Tobias both believe that this guy has information on the shooting that happened at the bar with Pink Lenny and the Brazilian. Tanner per say does not know the guy as a personal contact but he has an assumption that this guy is related to that shooting.
i started playing this game in 2001, i was 10 then i've played it for 5 years, until i bought a ps2... but still i haven't finished it, yet i couldn't beat that fucking pursuit-mission in rio...
Lol I've always known that that shape in his hand was a gun. I actually remember going on a cheat site way back when and seeing a fake cheat that if you press a certain button combo, Tanner will fire his guns. Yeahhh... like that ever happened :/.
@robloxcallofduty4 well, it's refreshing to see a more modern game foreshadow such a cult classic :) personally, i love gta and driver (started with driver) and think they're both awesome games. i don't think gta was really "copying" scenes.
Driver was great for its time, but lets be honest, GTA has taken over the sandbox action genre since the Ps2 days, and I don't see Driver making some miraculous comeback, especially in today's industry when everyone's all out of ideas and are only interested in making pretty graphics and are just trying to copy off each other rather than making innovative/original games.
ALL YOU HAD TO DO IS FOLLOW THE DAMN TRAIN, TANNER!!!
Love how this mission is basically an homage to the train chase in The French Connection with Gene Hackman
Damn, I love Tanner, does what he can to catch the badguy, Endangering public welfare, violation of traffic laws, disturbing the peace, you name it.

0:23 Love that powerslide.
i used to be addicted to this game. this was definitely one of the hardest and longest games ive ever played. If i had my playstation still i would probably still play it.
I remember I used to play this on my older cousin's PlayStation all the time. I drove around blowing up cars. Good times. :3
I was 9 when this Game came out, I remember playing it with a mate after School. Good times. Thanks for uploading.
+Lee Morgan Yup...
The memories playing this game as a kid with ps1 =)))
The most awesome thing back then was the breakable cars! :D
Mostly through practice, basically memorizing the route that the train goes on. Back when I did this for TH-cam, I remember having to retry once or twice to get myself reacquainted with the route (as I hadn't played undercover mode in a while).

Brings back memories... i replayed this mission like 10 times. what i was 10 or something
I overdosed on nostalgia
Oh man, Jet Moto, I believe it was one of my first games for my Playstation (it was either Jet Moto or Ridge Racer). I remember me and my brother would kill HOURS on weekends playing Jet Moto! Velhos Tempos!!!!! Driver Forever!!
i dont remember how old i was i was young this mission over here was so hard for me but i managed it good stuff
For me, I mostly find NES/SNES/Sega and some early PSX games nostalgic. By early PSX games, I mean like Ridge Racer, Jet Moto, Gex, etc. (games from the 1995/1996ish era).
the hardest part for me was to get to the platform in time
Wow, Hopefully with the next gen technology, the game designers can make a better, more realistic version of Chicago for one of the upcoming driver games.

Yea, I think a ton of people couldn't get passed Chase The Gunman. I remember that at least took me a month to beat the first time playing it.
every time I see the train and i’m driving this comes to my mind
i remember this mission))) and remember how i was playing it with my grandfather when i was little))) ehh good old times))))
LOL nice to see we renewed your interest in the game!!
Hope you enjoyed your nostalgiagasm
so much memories....
my childhood right there
Ohhh childhood right there :')
yea i remember the good old days when this came out:)
loved this game :D
but i everytime had a bug with invisibla walls at the bridges?! xD
but i loved to play it when i was young :P

This was my favorite game of all time!! I still have my playstation, but
i think i need another cable to connect it otherwise id be playing this now lol.

Amo este juego! Jajaja :D Hace tantos años ya :)

I used to have this game! Ahh good times.
Hmmm Sounds really cool, I want to do Film Studies at university, its good to hear from students working in film
@NostalgiaGamesProd ooh was that!!
btw: i love how the action is so slow in driver Driver2 =) it let you feel better the action in my opinion, and good work with the driver videos, this game was the best and driver 3 is ok but could be a lot better.
Damn I love my childhood !!
Just like The French Connection. He's even dressed a bit like Popeye Doyle. Nice.
Ok that was just smart to chase the train! lol
I guess I let go of the X button at the wrong time coming out of the cutscene. I'm betting it was something with the emulator that caused the engine sound to disappear.
I'm Solomon Kane. You'll wish you'll never have meet me. :D Great lines, Great story, Great game. thanks for the memories.
Same, I was expecting Driver SF to rejuvenate the series. I mean, don't get me wrong, it was an awesome game but it wasn't on the level of Driver 1 and 2. Man I looked back on this game still love it but I just bust out laughn wen that dude got out that car like dat running all stiff
Lmao it trips me out looking back on it.
We lost them, Stay with the train! Go make attention when he gets off!
Tanner and Tobias both believe that this guy has information on the shooting that happened at the bar with Pink Lenny and the Brazilian. Tanner per say does not know the guy as a personal contact but he has an assumption that this guy is related to that shooting.
why do you mute the engine sound???
هههههه ياقلبي علي هاذي ايام .. كنت اروح المطار واقعد احاول اركب الطياره بس مافي فايده !!
واحلي شي لما الطاسه كانت تنفك مع اللفاات هههه !!

najbardziej wciagajaca gra w jaka gralem... szczegolnie wersja na psx... ona poprostu przebijala gta swoich czasow
Se nota que le bajaste el sonido de los SFX sino el motor se escuchara más fuerte! xD
They are coming. Uploading them takes a while.
Why is it that when you go close to people they run away... Right through a wall its really strange.
@HazerWITHTHElazeR yeah, I could never keep up, in this mission at least. Used to always get my dad to do it for me. :P
DRIVER 2 MISSION 3 CHICAGO DAY V2 "5 2019)😀😀
Very wonderful chase scene.
@NostalgiaGamesProd then how old must Tanner be in Driver San Francisco.... he must be like James Bond: he never ages xD
I always thought you could pull out a gun and shoot people... I always thought that strange shape in his hand was a gun -_-
Why doesn't your car make any sound while you drive?
@edvart00 If you think he's dead then you're wrong. He isn't.
Be good if the company made a Driver game for the Xbox 360 and PS3. That would be awesome, probly be more better then MW 2.
I be crazy of this mission, I have tried and tried and tried, but i never clear it out
tanner runs like hes floating
were car sound?????
The voice-over sounds like Jason Stathum doing an American accent :D
Yea, I'm not gonna lie, this game is pretty easy. That's why I am thinking about redoing the game on hard mode in the future.
الله على هذيك الأيام
يوم كانت الطاسة تنفك مع اللفة القوية

What emulator are you using? I'm using ePSXe.
His name is Tobias Jones.
I remember this quote: I'm gonna pop your neck with my hands LOL
Lol I've always known that that shape in his hand was a gun. I actually remember going on a cheat site way back when and seeing a fake cheat that if you press a certain button combo, Tanner will fire his guns. Yeahhh... like that ever happened :/.
HATE This MISSION!😡
Punch it ha😃
The only thing I couldnt do was get out of the car when I was 8
@robloxcallofduty4 well, it's refreshing to see a more modern game foreshadow such a cult classic :) personally, i love gta and driver (started with driver) and think they're both awesome games. i don't think gta was really "copying" scenes.

Driver was great for its time, but lets be honest, GTA has taken over the sandbox action genre since the Ps2 days, and I don't see Driver making some miraculous comeback, especially in today's industry when everyone's all out of ideas and are only interested in making pretty graphics and are just trying to copy off each other rather than making innovative/original games.
ooh i remember this one.
Thumbs up if you failed this mission for going too far ahead of the train!
