Do NOT swift step with kiriko. This wasn't mentioned in the patch notes but she doesn't cleanse herself anymore and you will basically just kill another teammate as well as yourself

Dva is also good against tracer if you’re good with her, especially when the enemy is running a Winston with 2 flankers. Hog is overpowered rn though so he works against everything

Hey, Kiriko was nerfed. Tp doesn't eliminate antihealing/all that stuff/granades/bombs. They didn't say it, but you can try it

Apparently if you tp with kiriko with tracer bomb you keep it so I think that means that you just doomed a teammate

Good takes but here’s a few more: Phara can outrange tracer, Ana can 2 tap her, if you’re a god with ash you can one tap her + dynamite forces out recall, sigma is threatening because after a primary or rock tracer will die to a cough, symmetra because turrets, echo can outrange, bap can take high ground, etc.
Majority of heroes mess her up now haha

(Ik in higher play it was pretty even as most tracers would kill him outside of the flashbang range)
Before the nerf Sombra would make Tracer rage quit, but now the entire team and the game make Sombra ragequit.

Junkrat is quite the counter too, he has traps and his spams can easily take a tracer out
I like how Torb's turret is a separate hero which is better at dealing with Tracer than Torb himself

@@prince-qt9kzTracer's playstyle is doing a lot of close-range damage while being slippery to hit. Moira has auto-aim, so Tracer has a hard time avoiding damage. A good Tracer can kill the Moira quickly, but a better Moira will be able to stall the tracer out with fade, chip damage, and orbs.
@@Cool-Vest Moira doesn't have auto aim. She has a invisible hitbox that is the same size as the beam of her ultimate.
When the opponent is inside that invisible hurt box the purple beam will just draw a line from Moiras hand to the opponent. It's not a real auto aim like soldier 76 ultimate or old old symmetra energy beam.
"Forgiving hitbox" shoots her pointblank

The funny thing is that these are all things I usually try to bait out with homegirl to secure kills easy, because making a Kiriko waste her suzu by avoiding getting one clipped is huge.
The most fun way i can think of to counter tracer (perhaps not the most effective but I ALWAYS have a good time doing this) is to use sigma. The rock and a single volly of hyper spheres do enough damage to “2 shot” the tracer. Plus if the tracer is predictable its *THE BEST* felling to use kinetic grasp to catch her ult
This might be fun but it’s very bad. The spheres are too slow, so is the rock, sigma doesn’t like to turn around and defend his back line, and sigma’s hitbox is big for tracer with no armor

I would have to add Moira. Since Tracer's main advantage is being hard to hit Moira negates this by having not to aim accurately.

roadhog. ask supports to heal then hook ram to you and prim fire, even in ult ram should die rly quickly
@@thwee3579 u can't shred ram when he's using his block, he can literally tank hog's ult for the full duration and still have half of his hp
Zenyatta discord orb is amazing at punishing his non-nem form. Zarya as well is able to burn him down.
Hog shreds ram and can whole hog him away when he's using annihilation, reaper shreds him as well, lucio is good for keeping him away from your team, and getting your team away from him. And don't forget breaking los and shields block ram's annihilation, but not his nemesis form punches.
Honorable mention goes to brig. She lost stun for ow2 but she's still a decent counter againt dive dps

If you ever get pulced as kiriko, tp to your team abd the bomb will drop on the ground from where you teleported
For some reason I think this is one of those kind of things where they tell you how to counter something only for them to counter the counter they told u about.
Junk is pretty nice too idk if he roots anymore in ow2 but just throw a trap anywhere and somehow the flankers are gonna get caught in it
Scout and Tracer are so similar! Both are fast and both die to sentries fast
Remember, Tracer runs fast & dies as fast by a sentry.
Tracer is basically the same as scout but slower without her abilities.

I miss when Brig countered tracer
i always pick sym over torb because her sentries slow tracer and force her to focus on killing the sentry or retreat giving more opportunities for your team to kill her. i’ve seen tracers burst down the torb turret while it’s building itself but its harder to instantly deny three spaces out sentries
As hog, I have hooked Tracer many times.
Brig is also great against Tracer, but if you don't know what you're doing you'll probably end up bashing into the enemy team and feeding. Also, Lucio is shockingly good against Tracer, with big projectiles and movement that's difficult to track, along with a 55dmg boop melee combo to force out recall, along with good self sustain and ways to escape of the fight isn't going on your favour.
Ashe is also pretty annoying as she can one shot you and Cassidy since his grenade buff tracer cant teleport or recall to negate it.
I thought Torb was broken for a very long time when I first started, because then I only played Tracer. I still only play Tracer, but I play her smarter now.
I had a match when I was playing kiriko and I was countering a tracer. That is so satisfying to predict tracer and 1 tap her.

Yeah as a tracer main you absolutely can 1 clip a torb turret just add a melee at the end. blink in 1 clip melee recall to safety. Its annoying but I make it a point to assert my dominance.
As a tracer main this is definitely valid. Sem is definitely another counter for tracer.
Moira and Bap are better options, if your aim isn’t that good. Bap will give you an Immo field, immediate burst of healing, and the chance to get to the high ground/consistent jumping mobility. Moira is better because you have the option of a damage orb or healing orb, plus a fade that won’t carry the bomb to another teammate.
Swift step teleports sticked stuff with you so you are gonna kill another teammates
If you want more tips make sure to look up the 34 rules for tracer you can learn alot.
Also gotta point out that Ana can now two tap tracer, feel like that should have been meant
Yup sadly but she’s a solid option too honestly most of the supports can handle themselves vs her rn

Just my thoughts Mccree is also very good at dealing with tracers just because his grenade is very easy to hit a tracer with, which leaves her very vulnerable to basically anything. If you can get a quick shot on her and then grenade the tracer is basically forced to recall or take the L. Of course mccree is very easy to catch off guard but typically since the tracer needs to be up close and personal as long as you generally know where she is the grenade will stick.
Going agianst a good tracer is just a nightmare like sometimes your forced to go torb I sometimes like sym just cause it slows her down

The hs hit boxes where not accurately shown since they get fucked up when you stand close like that btw.
Reaper is good as well as another dps pick against her. He's basically like Road hog, but without the hook, health, and better heal factor. But even still is pretty good considering she is still close enough at max distance b4 damage falloff from her bullets. I'm not risking my chances against a Reaper even though it's more duable.
Reaper does surprising damage against tracer just at tracers effective range and I have no clue why. Reaper does have a big hitbox to clip though, and can’t defend his back line against tracer
Or just have godlike aim and an amazing sense of direction for when tracer blinks and then headshot them. Happened to me

How to beat tracer step one dont have short term memory loss step step two bait recall step three win
I thought I could still one clip melee a turret!?! I haven't played in a few weeks tho
While these are not counters, consider the following:
Baptiste only needs to land 2 full bodyshots or one full headshot in order to put Tracer out of commision, and since Lamp doesnt allow uou to go farther than 10% of your max HP, you can tank a pulse bomb and kill her. His best application at that point is simular to Kiriko and Brig, protect the other support and your life will be dandy.
Lucio and Mercy have high movement allowing them.to consistently be able to forfe Tracer to use Blinks to catch up to them is they want to secire a med pick. A good Mercy is a nightmare to kill, but a good Lucio will put up a good fight.
Symettra and Junkrat both have desposable traps that allow them to limit Tracer's movement which makes them either use recall or thry get clapped hard. Symettra can also place a teleporter for her teamamate to use for quick movement away from Tracer and since Junkrat has the lexury or AOE dmage, he can sometimes panic to throw his mine to kill Tracer since frags and mines do a solid 120 damage.
Sigma can block support value from the enemy flankers which will likely reduce her effectivness over all, and hitting 2 balls followed by a melee kills.
Doomfist can win the fight preety easy is he secures an empowered punch, but this doesnt happen en9ugh to consider switching Doom for the counter, Sigma is better for that. Hes still incredibly fun though.
Roads hog combo will still probably one shot tracer
Torbs turret really doesn't need so much health
Winston is better tank counter than the Roadhog.
I find that junkrat works very well too.
I play a trap near my supports and if she irritates me it's fairly easy to hit her with the mines
Here's some counters to (instert any character): 1. Roadhog, 2. Roadhog, 3. Orisa, 4. Roadhog.
For me junkrat gives me a ton of trouble because when I try to get up close to kill he can just one shot me or blast pack away
I miss the days when I could ruin a tracers day by picking sombra
I'm never seeing that skin the same again (if you know. You know)
I wouldn't say hog is the best "counter", it's more of a skill matchup. You can get farmed hard by tracer as long as she keeps abilities to dodge your hook and uses walls to counter your slow firerate. I'd say DVa might be better at mitigating her damage and peeling for teammates.
Dang actually a correct take in the comments. Hog just works because he’s op, not because it’s a good matchup. Good tracers will just shoot his supports and blink behind cover if he turns around. Dva can eat a clip and then shoot tracer, and also just hold it on tracer if they think they have pulse(good tracers won’t fall for that pulse bomb part though )

I’m surprised you didn’t mention Ana with how she two shots Tracer with her buff to 75 damage. Along with her grenade and sleep dart to help against tracer.
As a tracer main myself we don't really struggle vs Ana compared to kiriko because Ana's damage isn't instant so it takes more than 2 shots if I recall in addition it's hard for Ana to land sleep on tracer bc you can use blink to react to it
If you're REALLY confident, an ADS Ashe headshot deals exactly 150 damage. I learned this when a tracer randomly crossed my sights as I was spamming down like 3 people in a choke
I think soldier 76 is also very good, you win her in medium range combat and if she gets to close you can one shot her with the rockets melee combo
Im a tracer main as well but I would also add Junkrat and unironically soldier - felix + melee works perfectly (right click has a very good explosion range) and it's very hard to quickly kill him when he uses biotic field
Tracer is great into junk if you don’t get trapped( just git gud), I find his hitbox pretty easy to one clip. I can agree with soldier though
I like to use soldier for pressure healing and oneshot combo with helix + melee
As a Hog main, I'm way ahead of you. There's nothing more satisfying than finally managing to hook a Tracer

Ueaj torret is very hard to do but if u need do low poke and go woth blink full spread and melee recall, u can broke the torret and follow the torb to easy killl him. The maiority of the torb just a little poket he spam her "E", after he waster her kit he is a easy kill
