So i dont care about inuyasha enough to watch this entire video, but lets see if i can guess from my experience with the original manga. The show went on for far, far longer than it should have, with a decent set of characters reaching a point where they had matured enough as characters to end their journeys, but because the show refused to end, everything you originally liked about them became grating over time. The main villain is stupidly overpowered and refuses to just die off. The show didnt manage to explore the idea of there being a portal between two points in time in any interesting ways. The show has the main characters constantly fret about becoming stronger to fight the villain, and fully accept its a fantasy battle shonen story with all its cliques rather than explore a more low level fantasy setting. No watch the video lol, I actually think this show used the time portal more interestingly then inuyasha did but neither show has fully explored the concept well

They could have done a whole coming-of-age while looking for the missing family trope thing and had a good series. Instead... they went this way?
Honestly it didn't seem terrible, I rewatched the original series before watching this one's first batch... Honestly Towa is the worst done character in the show and that is the real problem, but it has the exact same problems as Inuyasha, the difference is that Yashahime tried speedrunning the same formula as the original show but in the process they destroyed suspension of disbelief of having a realistic progression, and we barely got any "fun" sidequest/monsters of the week unrelated to the main quest.
For example 13:26. This is EXACTLY the same arc as Inuyasha, most of his villains have to do with his father unless Kikyo in this exact same way, though in this case they secondhand all these issues to Seshomaru and completely cut out almost any "direct" relation issues like Kikyo....
