Hi Dave, I am interested in knowing how you went about starting your building surveying business, was it difficult at first? Did you feel you had gained enough experiece within Commercial before you started? Also is Commercial better than residential in terms of fees? Many thanks, I am enjoying the content!
Hey, I love your videos-thanks for making them! Quick question: in your opinion, does the prestige/ranking of the university offering an RICS-accredited master's matter to employers in the industry, e.g., Salford vs UoM?
@@josephdickinson5341 thanks for the feedback, Joseph! This is a good question and it is hard to answer. I think it’s purely down to the person looking at your CV. Some people think so but others couldn’t care less. I think it is less important than it would have been for the previous generations. I think I would be more interested to find out the quality of the syllabus and how much a particular university gets you out on site. Also, I think if you had the option, and there is not too much difference in cost, then I’d probably go for the higher ranked university simply to stack my chances of employability, just in case.
@@Lecia-lithium I think some of them lie unfortunately. I have experienced friends who went to places that boasted 100% pass rates but found out they had had multiple failures. I think it’s more important to find a place where there a good mentor than high pass rates.
Hey friends, thanks for the views - please note I AM GOING TO INVEST IN A MIC AND A LIGHT haha

@Upwardsonly Cheers! I appreciate your help
i’m first year into a degree for building surveying, would i be best off switching to degree apprenticeship?
What do you think of Grad schemes claiming 90% apc pass rates
