Tom, you and your crew are real professionals and I have not seen concrete poured like your crew does. They worked so close together and like a well oiled machine, everything falls into place and the driveway looks great. I like the detail you put into every pour, nothing is left undone.
Okay just finished the whole video and can I say WOW! I can actually imagine being that homeowner going out the next morning with a cup of coffee (in my bare feet) and taking in every angle of that beautiful job! Outstanding! Excellent workmanship! You guys are not only in the concrete business, you're in the SMILE business! 🇺🇸 👍
Watching you guys work so smoothly together makes it so easy to see why all your jobs come out looking so beautiful. Hats off to all of you for the craftmanship you show with all your hard work.
At 9:19, the previous pour was poured so the the next didn't leave a thin sliver of concrete. Very smart and very well thought out joint layout. Great video and awesome job guys!
Sir,Awesome job! This is one of the best concrete pours I've seen... This concrete driveway is as close to perfect as you can get.. The home owners should be very happy...Great Job...
Great job Tom & crew... I found your channel through Mike & Melissa's channel on the pours you did for them recently...I thought the " unwanted " guest was going to be a over friendly dog mucking up the works! One solution I've seen when rain is coming is to build portable cape style frames out of 2 x 4's or whatever you got on hand & top the frame with plastic sheets stapled in place...I know an old duffer up my way that builds garages from the concrete pad up, often times he'll use the roof trusses as temporary frames to cover 24 X 24 freshly poured pads as protection from the elements, i.e. rain or snow. It works & him & his crew get to go home after a hard days work... Bill on the hill, Vermont... :~)
The brooming is easier than you think. Patience goes a long way. I used to help my dad do concrete patios and walkways around say 6th grade to 8th grade during the summers. The first time is scary since it was his business and reputation on the line I was representing but you get a feel for it and get into the flow. He'd keep an eye on me and tell me what to change if he didn't like how it was coming out.
So glad you kept on going after your early on mistakes. Your company is an inspiration. I'm homebound so your video made me think I was outside. Beautiful work, great respect among your crew. Thank you so very much. Quite interesting, amazing, and informative. Content is easy to hear and understand. Best company I've ever seen.
Beautiful & such impressive work! Attention to detail on all your projects whether it is snowplow damage, drainage, electrical conduit, downspouts, cracking…35 years of hard work & experience has taught you well! You are the total package!! Thank you for sharing your work & knowledge! You need to teach the trade in High Schools & Trade Schools. Or better yet, start Hauses Concrete Trade School, then you would always have your pick of the finest students.
Hi Tom, excellent video,, that is how you apply concrete to form a driveway. It looks absolutely stunning, l like the lines well done to you all. I absolutely ❤ it.. I'm sure the client was very happy. Kind regards Danny from the uk 🇬🇧❤🇺🇲
You know Tom. I was introduced to you by Mike Morgan. If i had found your channel before Mike i would've subscribed anyway. I see your up to almost 18,000 subscribers. You and your hard working crew deserve the recognition. I live in ft.wort and all the concrete work seems to be sourced out to... Well other's. I truly admire your work ethic.
This video really showed how you and your team work together to get a job done this was an excellent video that showed just about all aspects of your work, nice job.
Just want to say Tom how much I enjoy watching TH-cam channel. Your crew is like a well oiled machine . Really interesting and informative . You have turned into quite the narrator. God bless !
Wow! Absolutely amazing job guys. And I totally agree with mag floats. I sure miss doing this kind of work. Yall remind me of the crew I worked with back in the day. Very clean and tight. God Bless you sir and your crew. Again great job.
Hello my name is Kevin I live in Australia, I have done a lot of concreting around my house when I use mesh I put plastic stools under the mesh to keep the mesh up, you and your crew do a fantastic job with concrete.
Tom, amazing job, excellent finish to that concrete. I enjoyed how you explained the process, but I was more impressed with your detail of the job with your team All the best, look forward to many more videos. take care and be safe!
Great Work, I like your las comment about that everyone has theirs own opinions and that is the way you do it. There is so many ways and techniques and ideas on how to finish concrete but the end result has to be the has to be good. Great work
Love that concrete cure also. I’m a curb and gutter man and use a machine so unfortunately haven’t done much flat worked. I learned a lot from your video so thanks 😊
Tom, another impressive job by a well oiled team! Really nice work! After seeing your slab lifter invention I would have thought you might have come up with a lightweight frame to hold the plastic 😊😉!
You guys do great work! I have been there too with rain drops. I think everyone who works concrete will sooner or later get hit with the dreaded rain. Always good to have that plastic at the ready and not have to run after it when it begins to rain.
Yes! I did concrete for 30 years. You guys do it right!!! I love the tooled in joints instead of saw cuts. Your subgrade is perfect, I can see grade, I have the eye for it. Perfect, perfect, perfect!! Diving the joints in at an angle on the circumference is is the correct way. The only thing I would do is put #4 rebar in the concrete. One day I was wondering how they label #4 #5 ect ect rebar then it hit me!! 4 eights of an inch 1/2 in, 5 eights of an inch is 5/8 in rebar. I guess I had a flash back.
@@GunpowderandFreedom I googled the number system for rebar, ole Goober figured it all on his own. And how do you like this one, When your boys stayed up late ask them if they know why the need to go to bed, Answer, the bed won't go to you!!! hahaha I miss my smart @ss concrete co workers!!!
Amazing work by an amazing crew.everyone works so well with eachother. And beautiful finished product. Love the way they did the cuts out at the end of the driveway. That really makes it look so nice and professional. There money was well spent.
Hello - At some point could you explain the advantage of doing a large project like this one in cement instead of traditional asphalt or other material... Thanks...
Good quality workmanship. Enjoying your videos, starting with the big building at the Morgan's. Outdoors with the Morgans has provided real opportunity for your channel. Good work.
Tom every project you guys do is always top notch , I look forward to watching another video every day . The SRT sealer can that be put down over concrete thatwas poured 6months ago ? Look forward to the next work of art
Another nice job. I was just wondering the purpose of the gravel underneath, as it doesnt look very thick, and not compacted? I thought it was supposed to be a few inches thick?
A really lovely driveway. The pad for the shed was a nice touch but I'm wondering why you didn't concrete from the driveway, or even put a path from the driveway to the shed. It will look nice when completed with a grass strip in front of the shed though. Great job.
Yes use the new joint tool for a deep joint then use the older worn tool to put cream in the bottom of the joint to keep from collecting dirt in a deep joint. Your joints will control the cracks perfect!!!
Hello there, I wish your crew was in the Chicago area as I have been looking for a good concrete contractor. I was turned on to your channel by Mike Morgan and and happy he endorsed you. Best Regards
You see where you've cut that small triangle is on the driveway, bad idea. Always come to a corner and 45 that joint, Triangles like that will always crack on the corner where it gets small. Like your channel you guys do an awesome job
Hi from Melville Saskatchewan have a blessed day I really like the way you guys work team everyone just dose the next thing I’m impressed I’m sure there is some discussion before hand but they sure look like they enjoy the work and take pride but that has to start at the top
Tom, you and your crew are real professionals and I have not seen concrete poured like your crew does. They worked so close together and like a well oiled machine, everything falls into place and the driveway looks great. I like the detail you put into every pour, nothing is left undone.
Go check out victory outdoor services they do excellent work as well

Vermont... :~)
The crew treats each job as if it’s their own driveway, all business. I suspect brooming takes a lot of experience and talent, they make it look easy.
i literally thought "This has to be the owners driveway or something" nope, just men who take pride in their work
The brooming is easier than you think. Patience goes a long way. I used to help my dad do concrete patios and walkways around say 6th grade to 8th grade during the summers. Great job Tom. Every team member knows their job and does it professionally! You have a very smooth operation with consistently excellent results!
i love how you run your cuts on rod boards. Thats the way I was taught and man it makes the biggest difference.

Wow, well oiled crew, it’s fun when that many guys work together so we’ll with that kind of cohesiveness, you are very rare.

Always nice to see some people doing stuff well.

Is that really how they came up with the numbering system for rebar?! I’ve always wondered that hahaha thanks for watching!
@@GunpowderandFreedom I googled the number system for rebar, ole Goober figured it all on his own.

Such professionalism, craftsmanship.
Amazing work by an amazing crew.everyone works so well with eachother.
And beautiful finished product.
Love the way they did the cuts out at the end of the driveway. That really makes it look so nice and professional.
There money was well spent.

Badass bro! Thank you for the video…very informative…rain sucks been there!
Great job Tom & crew. Maybe you can come out with a new stamp for your concrete. The acorn stamp!!!! Lol Have a great rest of the day
Hello - At some point could you explain the advantage of doing a large project like this one in cement instead of traditional asphalt or other material... Thanks...

Well said,I agree 👍
Another nice job. I was just wondering the purpose of the gravel underneath, as it doesnt look very thick, and not compacted? I thought it was supposed to be a few inches thick?
Mad respect to u guys…nothing easy about Crete work…like back in my framing days..you guys must pop the Advil like chiclets..
Dedication to the craft. How long does it take to learn how to use that plastic? 😉
Y'all work well together. Like I said before, you know what the other guy needs before he needs it. 👍
I like the picture framing you leave with the wide edger. A lot of concrete guys take them out. Adds a nice effect in my opinion
Man I wish you's guys were a little closer to me in the Pocono area. Very professional work. Subscribed.
Thanks for the sub!
New subscriber from Davenport Iowa. Thanks for the video. I look forward to watching more concrete pours with you guys
There is nothing more beautiful than pristine newly laid concrete! 🤍🤍🤍
A really lovely driveway. The pad for the shed was a nice touch but I'm wondering why you didn't concrete from the driveway, or even put a path from the driveway to the shed. It will look nice when completed with a grass strip in front of the shed though. Great job.
Ah, what fun! Looking up in the sky, ears down like Wily Coyote as the rain starts. Nice job men.
Amazing quality and workmanship..
Yes use the new joint tool for a deep joint then use the older worn tool to put cream in the bottom of the joint to keep from collecting dirt in a deep joint. Your joints will control the cracks perfect!!!
Wished you lived near me..what a fab job..well done guys...P.S. New to your channel..
Thanks for subscribing!
Hello there, I wish your crew was in the Chicago area as I have been looking for a good concrete contractor. I was turned on to your channel by Mike Morgan and and happy he endorsed you.
Best Regards
Nice crew looks like every guy knows every job. Must be a pleasure to run the job.
What was the cost for this project? I think you should include the cost of projects?
Love "Jacob's Ladder" by Huey Lewis. Ah btw, great job gentlemen!
Very nice. It looks good. We steel trowel all our work and never had an issue. So I know I’m right 😎
If it’s not broke don’t fix it right
I'm a retired journeyman plumber that see's you as excelent
Awesome video I just cannot get over the fact that use the 6-in edger on the expansion joints that you're supposed to be simulating a joint
Would a thicker pour prevent cracking or is it inevitable?
A little thicker is never a bad thing proper drainage and reinforcement are key as well
Nice work. It looks good and the process is impressive.
You have a great crew!!
I believe you are right appears it will create less cracks!!
That's a nice piece of artwork. Well done.
You see where you've cut that small triangle is on the driveway, bad idea. Always come to a corner and 45 that joint, Triangles like that will always crack on the corner where it gets small. Like your channel you guys do an awesome job
Nice job.
One question, why do make those cuts? Is it to prevent the concrete to crack or is it for the rainwater to run away?
Hi from Melville Saskatchewan have a blessed day I really like the way you guys work team everyone just dose the next thing I’m impressed I’m sure there is some discussion before hand but they sure look like they enjoy the work and take pride but that has to start at the top
Looks great never knew concrete could look so smart ! Great job guys !!
Wow !! what a crew beautiful job !
Nice work, like the joint pattern
Another professional job gentlemen! Why didn’t you connect the shed pad to the driveway?
I was thinking, why they didnt just cut the tree down? Easier and a lot cheaper.
Your crew makes it look easy, good job guys.
And yes, they pulled up the mesh! Lol!
Everyone on the crew deserves a 12 pack and a nice dinner cooked on a grill!! Steak!!! Lol!very nice!
Tom question how many yards of concrete did it take for the driveway. Looks great. Field in Michigan
With you mentioning the weather like you did, it reminds me of Mike Morgan LOL
What's the reason for the separation on the two slabs?
What a big job , you consider things alot of people wouldn't, great job once again
I sure hope you’re all well paid! Dedicated to excellence!
WOW! I am impressed.
Nice work 💪👷👏 guys 👦 !!
