One of the greatest rock albums ever produced! The CULT have a very definitive sound. Im of the opinion that they were criminally under rated - however, fans such as those here, know that they were absolute ROCK GODS!!
I am so glad I found this video. This is obviously The Cult's early beginnings. Ian and the band look younger, but Ian is still good-looking. This is definitely a fantastic song.
Followed them everywhere in 85-86 and Love was such a great album . I remember trying to get in to watch this and it was only because a girl with a ticket for the tv studio gave me hers as she thought she was going to see The Cure......!
Love the Cult. Just saw them live Sept 18th 2022 for the sixth time live since 1986. Great band. Definately underrated. Still great. Love Billy's guitar playing. Thank you. God bless you.🎸💗➕💗🕶
I was given this single as an after hours high school graduation gift on a 33 1/3 record a long time ago. I think this was their best album. Didn't know they were Native American until decades later.
Always good to turn the cult up, way way up. I think most of my hearing loss from the 80s was the cult. Rock on. I was nearly ejected from my college apartment playing this shit so loud!!!
What caliber...seen these dudes 7 times. Seen many, many other bands (of today and yesterday). I can think of only very, very few that could reach something like this monolith that calls themselves The Cult.
We are all on this earth 🌎 to share and take good care of it ,but that's what we do not see Happening around the world and it's been like this for over 5000 years !!!
how lucky we were there to experience them with Jamie !!!!...saw them Live like 4/5 times halfway the 80ties.....amongst the BEST gigs in my life...and I`ve seen some let me tell you!!...Billy always rules/d too must say...
What are the right lyrics? In the first verse it sounds like he sings "Lust, obviously...". It doesn't sound like the second verse in which you can hear "Love, obviously" clearly.
Gonna drive away in a big fast car gonna drive away wont get too far. Love obviously, very soon, everybody! Spent a long time in this town spent a long time in your town, spent a long time in this town. Spent a long time in your town. Love. Obviously, pretty soon, everybody!
This whole album is a masterpiece.
Exactly so different , so gothic , so rocker , so unique , since 85 still one of my best albums ever
Absolutely! 💯
YES! Number 3 of my top 5 favorite albums!
Amazing album. I was 16 I think when I first bought it.
Played the cassette til my car player ate it. And seeing them end of July this summer!!!

Beautiful!.the music the cult!.
I am so glad I found this video. This is obviously The Cult's early beginnings. Ian and the band look younger, but Ian is still good-looking. This is definitely a fantastic song.
This whole album is magic.
Followed them everywhere in 85-86 and Love was such a great album . I remember trying to get in to watch this and it was only because a girl with a ticket for the tv studio gave me hers as she thought she was going to see The Cure......!
Gorgeous boy, voice, song, I fell in love with his voice before I even knew what he looked like, dancing in the goth club every week
there is nobody better when his vocals are on. It's like there's a natural echo chamber in his voice, so cool.
the Cult with Jamie Steward on bass was their BEST time ever!!!..period!!
very very true!
Isn't it Stewart?
They were at their best as Southern Dead Cult
@@reinforcedpenisstem yes
I love this song and I absolutely LOVE The Cult! 🖤
Magic in the air Ian voice
Saw them for the 2nd time in Seattle in 2019. BADASS Billy rocks and Ian sings like Jim Morrison and Robert Plant all in one person.
I love--no pun intended--this band when they came out. This song just roars out the cave. One of my favorites.
Love the Cult. Just saw them live Sept 18th 2022 for the sixth time live since 1986. Great band. Definately underrated. Still great. Love Billy's guitar playing. Thank you.
God bless you.🎸💗➕💗🕶

We are all on this earth 🌎 to share and take good care of it ,but that's what we do not see Happening around the world and it's been like this for over 5000 years !!!
The folks in the front row right in the audience have some snappy outfits (flowing white robe). Wish I could see more of the crowd.
Sublime. Ian is such an amazing frontman. .

So that's not mark breznik on the drums. I've been trying to find him playing this song as it was on the album
I believe he was only used during recording the album, except for "Sanctuary"; yet it's him in the video for that song.
i wish i had his hair..
❤️
Yeah!!
damn !
Thanks for posting! Does anyone what year this from and who was on drums at the time?
Love was released in the US in 1985. Initially, drums were Mark Brzezicki.
The drummer was actually Les Warner on drums.
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
What are the right lyrics? In the first verse it sounds like he sings "Lust, obviously...". It doesn't sound like the second verse in which you can hear "Love, obviously" clearly.
He sings "Lust, obviously..." in the first verse on the LP, too. Your supposition is, therefore, correct!
♥♥♥
The bass is clear here. The album version is nearly bass-less.
God has long black hair that comes to a point down the back of his spine and goes down past his but ..!! 4 real..!!!
Gonna drive away in a big black car, gonna drive away won't get too far
Always Kewel!
