No, no, this was an entirely separate issue. I wasn't enjoying posting on my channel like I used to. There's a whole facebook post I made about it. This was before the banlist was even a concern. It's why I tried "revamping" my channel, with those ruling videos. I realized I wasn't enjoying making those either, and I got to the point where I wondered if I should just stop Yugitubing (not quit Yugioh, but just take a break from this). And I thought I clarified that I'm not. (con't)
i feel her i became an insomiac (someone wo cannot sleep) and while i did i became stressed out and stress lead to far worse problems and yugiho was the only thing i had to concentrate on the endless nights i find no sleep coming up with new decks new techs that are different then the rest of the meta is all i have and when my life took a turn downhill it was the only thing i had i feel for you amanda yugioh can be more than a game seriously it can truly enter your heart

I was the only one at nats 2011 playing it.. learnt a lot from DDG. After the bans and nerfs i stopped playing yugioh. Now 9 years later i see this video............

This format, well pretty much all of these new rulings is one of the reasons why I'm devoting most of my pasttimes to Vanguard over Yu-Gi-Oh! now. It's a much simpler and enjoyable game for me and it's a more affordable game as well. Though I still like watching your videos and like the idea that you wanna devote random stuff to your personal channel here. It's sounds like fun. :) Well, best of luck to ya! I'll stay tuned.
I had the same type of problem. I've been playing Yugioh since the beginning, and I always had a bunch of people around that also played, so finding games was not usually a problem. But then I took a break for a long time and came back to find the game totally different with a much heavier reliance on effect monsters, and a much faster pace. Also a bunch of the people I used to play with moved/graduated. I picked up a Dragons Collide deck and a Dark World deck and dove back in to the game.
And since then it's been pretty damn good. I may not have as many people to play with anymore but that just means I enjoy the games I do play a hell of a lot more.
I know I'm not the only one who misses you here in south Florida. I mean, I only remember talking to you once, back when you were building Psychic's with Mind Master. But I remember you being really friendly, and just overall a great person. And I wish I had gotten the chance to talk with you more, because I know I could have learned a lot from you. Anyway, you had an impact on my life in regards to yugioh, and I guess I want to thank you for that. Good luck in whatever you decide to do.
We all have our ups and downs with Yugioh. It's been 4 and a half years since I've played, and now my buddy Zach Butler got me hooked again once he told me everything was more affordable. I use to play stuff that involved Destiny Hero - Disk Commander, then it got banned. After a while I was just playing Monarchs and DDT before quitting. I know how you feel, you might be out of the game for a while until it sparks your interest again. I play Prophecy now, and I plan on playing it for a while.
I know how she feels exactly. When that deck got hit I didn’t play for a long time. When the game came out all I’ve played was dragons and waited for Darkness metal to be printed. Hopeless dragon was the deck I played because so many times I’ve felt hopeless. No family little friends and it was my get away. After hopeless dragon I built hopeless assault Simorgh and topped at my locals all the time. I was happy but Darkness metal got hit later causing me to rethink. Stardust Dragon is my favorite card and ever since I’ve just ran that and been successful. Then links but it didn’t affect Stardust Dragon. So I can be content. Being almost 27 and played the game most of my life the only card that kept me going was the Signer Dragon Stardust. Keep your head up.
I agree. You should try out Hieratics. It wrecks with only 1 Redmd and isn't restricted to the OTK variant. You can go Aggro, control, or just Focus OTK. I prefer the Aggro Variant with Hanzo and Rank 5 and 6 XYZ that can blow s*** up and still do damage. IMO that variant seems the most similar to Disaster out of the 3 different variants.
I got hit with the same thing so I'm in the same boat is you. My dragon deck going through some MAJOR overhaul now and hopefully it turns out to be fun and playable like before. best of luck to you and hope you pull through.

I absolutely love that you hold on to just "you",not only playing but sticking to what "you" are comfortable with almost to the point of pure love for the game or deck. But don't just force or confuse yourself and say I can't play because of the format because the format will never stay the same but your love for the game should. Now I personally fell in love with the game just playing at the ark with my friends, buying a pack when I could, and sure even the show nudged me towards playing,

If you don't know what to play, try madolche's, they don't have a lot of attack, but it's fairly easy to pull off your favourite plays multiple times because of the return to the deck thing.
i understand how you feel, i live 30 mins away from the closest locals and in addition my work schedule is rather hectic bc i work overnights and its been a struggle to keep my life and personal affairs from plunging into complete chaos...
I just got back into the game after a long ass time since i was little really liking these newer formats rank 7 spams i could only see you running elemental dragons.
Scraps, sabers, geargia, wind-up, black wings, TG, rock stun, psychic, hero, dark world, six Sam, lightsworn (they have jd and dad as there dragon bosses)

Amanda I just wanted to say that I really appreciate what you did for me and yugioh.Cool stuff games in davy florida wasnt my main locals but I did go there every now and then and I remember you and i dueled a few times where i mananged to only squeeze out a lucky win. you gave me a few tips on how to be a better duelist and now I top at my other locals all the time.You probably forgot but I was a high school kid a tall black honors student and you got me to play my revival dragon deck.thanks.

Not gonna lie a teared up a bit once I saw the last bit of the video. Reminded me of my last days of Disaster Dragons once I found out REDM was going to be set to one. I was going to just straight up quit the game considering I never played anything else other than Dragons and couldn't find anything else that satisfied me more than specifically the Disaster build. Nowadays I just keep the deck the way it is collecting dust on my cabinet hoping one day they'll be playable again.
My local is 35-40 minutes away relatively. It's where everyone goes, though. It's too bad, the local 10 minutes away from me only does sunday tournaments and is very small..
I know how you feel, DDG. Even I am shocked and upset that the Dragon's most signature cards in the deck got banned and limited. I hope they'll change it, so both Future Fusion and REDMD can be used. We're here for you, Dragon Empress.
The part you quoted wasn't in response to my subscribers, it was in response to the opposite. I mean the fact that there will ALWAYS be someone to complain about something. I was letting that influence me when I normally don't because it's such a large scale. The content that should be expected will be reflective of how my channel was when I first started, along with other random stuff splashed in like cosplays and such. I'm just going to put the "streamlined" content on Core.
In november there a new Dragons called the heraldic beasts i played them on DN. I just combined them with Disaster Dragons Its really great to play even with one REDM

Wut no. BEFORE the chaos dragon structure deck came out, I said it was bad. That was in October of last year. It took months later and an entirely new format for Chaos dragon, the standard build, to appear on the map. Of course it was good at that point, hence it being one of the most played decks and the major reason REDM got hit. And I said the OPPOSITE. 2:39 - 3:04 I don't know how people always manage to take something I say and distort it into a literally opposite meaning. .__.
I went through the exact same thing with my heroes. I've always being a hero player cuz i love them since they 1st got out in the gx series. Now there's zero, the shining, etc elementel hero mons so i started playing with them and got used to them cuz they are soo good. But now hero players go for gemini spark/ alius crap + xyz and miracle fusion (dont get me wrong, i love xyz) but EVERY HERO PLAYER uses that and it's so discouraging to play them anymore. So i kind of gave up on them....
I still run Dragon, I've just gone back to using Blue-Eyes White Dragon, because of its independence of REDMD, I was a little upset when they hit REDMD and Future Fusion, but according to Koanmi and a few other people, Chaos Dragon had become to big a threat. Dragaons will never truly fade from the game so long people continue to play them

^ If anything, it makes them worse because people now know the effects. ;-; I hate that it relies so much on Witch, and she misses timing/has to remain in grave/banished can get Levi'd be the opponent. These are all factors people are aware of doing now. It was a good call while they were obscure, but as someone who was playing them for a year, I just don't see the deck working for a random herp player like most others do.
I think alot of people that play this game underestimate what it be for someone. It's like anything. Where one person might find solitude in music for exmple, other may find it in YuGiOh.

Me, I always thought BEWD was the coolest thing ever, so now that I'm older & marginally better at the game, I've been trying to maximize it's viable/competitiveness. When i 1st made my chaos dragon deck with 3 redmd's and future fusioni couldnt stop singing Love of a Lifetime by Firehouse. Now that thats all over i'm all I wont forget you by Poison
i meant to say tht i mentioned it, semi-limiting it would actually by perfectly fine with me...although in alot of those combos limiting a different card would have more directly impacted the combo...the problem i have is that due to the limiting alot of decks without these combos also got affected and in general the card its self just promotes deck stamina...or deck refreshing which isnt a bad thing. Konami easily could have just limited cards tht were more specific to the various combos IMO
I dont I said any thing about being to stubborn about using new decks so no worries about that :) I do miss REDMD and I hope at some point it will at least become semi limited again but I just miss the style of the deck is all. Currently I made a gagaga deck which is very fun and a very competitive Gishki deck. I would have to say once ZealGigas is out Gishki can be a top tier deck, I am beating most decks out there except Gravekeepers and Macro.
I just sub'd because of this video, I didn't see the ending coming that was hilarious! Yet RedMD at 1 is a sad day, it hurts every dragon deck even the ones that aren't tier 1-1.5ish.
Misplay in this video! In one of the clips with REDMD in a duel video, DDG is facing a field of Grandmaster and Shi En with just a REDMD out. She attacks the Shi En when in fact attacking Grandmaster is the superior play. :(

I been away from the game for awhile myself. I saw the banlist recently and was quite surprised at some of the cards that were banned. I see the game abit differently as I play as a hobby and for fun. I am guessing the banlist reflects those big tournaments or something :O

Well I understand what you mean. i recently started a brand new deck. Burning abyss. But recently I've been turning it into more. I use to play chaos dragon deck but I couldn't keep up with the new formats. So now I just use a hybrid version of Burning Abyss. It's wickedly insane because apparently the God cards can be added into the burning abyss. Recently I've been pissing off people with all three god cards in my deck. Just a thought. Sorry if I'm being to talkative. But I do enjoy your rants.
OMG! I felt the same way about my REDM too! Lol, pour a lil drink for my homies. My first deck was a dragon deck and slowly adapted the Disaster Dragon deck play style for the past like 6 years. It killed me to take out 2 of my REDM from my deck. I'm now wondering how to rebuild it to still make it work, any ideas?

I still run Dragon, I've just gone back to using Blue-Eyes White Dragon, because of its independence of REDMD, I was a little upset when they hit REDMD and Future Fusion, but according to Koanmi and a few other people, Chaos Dragon had become to big a threat. Dragaons will never truly fade from the game so long people continue to play them

If anything, it makes them worse because people now know the effects. ;-; I hate that it relies so much on Witch, and she misses timing/has to remain in grave/banished can get Levi'd be the opponent. These are all factors people are aware of doing now. It was a good call while they were obscure, but as someone who was playing them for a year, I just don't see the deck working for a random herp player like most others do.
I think alot of people that play this game underestimate what it be for someone. It's like anything. Where one person might find solitude in music for exmple, other may find it in YuGiOh.
Respect. You played the game because it was a past-time & something you loved as a kid, same here. You like the how Disaster plays, and you went w/it. Me, I always thought BEWD was the coolest thing ever, so now that I'm older & marginally better at the game, I've been trying to maximize it's viable/competitiveness. As much as I approve of this list, REDMD will be missed & I guess we'll have to find something new from there. Anyways, best o' luck w/ life/art/continuing your YGO career :D
When i 1st made my chaos dragon deck with 3 redmd's and future fusioni couldnt stop singing Love of a Lifetime by Firehouse. Now that thats all over i'm all I wont forget you by Poison
i meant to say tht i mentioned it, semi-limiting it would actually by perfectly fine with me...although in alot of those combos limiting a different card would have more directly impacted the combo...the problem i have is that due to the limiting alot of decks without these combos also got affected and in general the card its self just promotes deck stamina...or deck refreshing which isnt a bad thing. Konami easily could have just limited cards tht were more specific to the various combos IMO
I dont I said any thing about being to stubborn about using new decks so no worries about that :) I do miss REDMD and I hope at some point it will at least become semi limited again but I just miss the style of the deck is all. Currently I made a gagaga deck which is very fun and a very competitive Gishki deck. I would have to say once ZealGigas is out Gishki can be a top tier deck, I am beating most decks out there except Gravekeepers and Macro.

I just sub'd because of this video, I didn't see the ending coming that was hilarious! Yet RedMD at 1 is a sad day, it hurts every dragon deck even the ones that aren't tier 1-1.5ish.

In one of the clips with REDMD in a duel video, DDG is facing a field of Grandmaster and Shi En with just a REDMD out. She attacks the Shi En when in fact attacking Grandmaster is the superior play. :(

I been away from the game for awhile myself. I saw the banlist recently and was quite surprised at some of the cards that were banned. I see the game abit differently as I play as a hobby and for fun. I am guessing the banlist reflects those big tournaments or something :O

Well I understand what you mean. i recently started a brand new deck. Burning abyss. But recently I've been turning it into more. I use to play chaos dragon deck but I couldn't keep up with the new formats. So now I just use a hybrid version of Burning Abyss. It's wickedly insane because apparently the God cards can be added into the burning abyss. Recently I've been pissing off people with all three god cards in my deck. Just a thought. Sorry if I'm being to talkative. But I do enjoy your rants.

OMG! I felt the same way about my REDM too! Lol, pour a lil drink for my homies. My first deck was a dragon deck and slowly adapted the Disaster Dragon deck play style for the past like 6 years. It killed me to take out 2 of my REDM from my deck. I'm now wondering how to rebuild it to still make it work, any ideas?
What makes this even funnier is when I view your channel and see the new playlist you dedicated to redmd, lol. Also, what happened to Light and Darkness Dragon? I thought he/she/it was your favorite monster at one time.
I live in Michigan. It sucks pretty bad and when I tried playing Yu-Gi-Oh a while back but all of the locals in Lansing were either too young, too serious, too old or just plain creepy.
