I've always squared off the rear axel. Cause I've always saw where nothing on these frames are exact.

I just received the same kit and the welds are still horrible. Did Sky respond back to you about their welding job?
I’m building a solid axle for a dmax should I install the coilovers to the axle and towers and then build the 4 link I’m kinda worried because when I drop it on it’s own weight will it push the axle to much forward ?
Why did you go with leaf springs over coils ? i get the price difference but the ride you get from leaf springs is ruff
How do you decide where to mount those spring hangers?
I want to convert my 2000 GMC 3500HD dually to 4WD. It has a straight I-beam axle in the front with leaf springs, a Dana 80 in the rear, 7.4 Vortec (454) and a 4L80E trans. Not sure if I should go with a Dana 60 or Dana 70 in the front. Is one easier to work with?

Not trying to knock on ya, but when you fully weld the front hanger, will you fully weld what Sky didn't? You called them out, are you gonna fix their shortcoming is what I'm asking.
I let sky know about it and they said thanks for letting them know an there going to make some changes to production of them, I will fully weld that hanger on after the whole front suspension is mocked up

how does it ride up front with those leaf springs? they look stiff as hell
They should have used the 99-04 f250 springs, they are way nicer.

Hey cougare house had a quick question maybe you could help me with so iv recently put a dana 44 under the front of my 2002 chevy but I'm having a hard time with the degree of the shackles what did you guys set the degree on the dmax it's a ten inch lift
When you set up the leaf springs you want about 5* of shackle angle with no weight on the axle , then when the spring breaks in you will have about 15* of angle witch is what you want

Were just waiting for the knuckle to come back from weaver fab so we can fab up the high steer
The passenger side shackle looked like it pitched forward 15 degrees, but the driver side looked like it pitched back 15 degrees. Is it just camera angles playing tricks???
Just an optical illusion we put angle finders on them
Bro that ain’t no optical illusion. The passenger side shackle pitches to the rear and the drivers side pitches toward the front. You can plainly see it from every angle that it was filmed from. We saw him using the angle finder but something didn’t come out quite right. 13:49 till the end.
He said, under compression shackles are back. And at droop they come forward.
Addiegirl's Country Home you right they are off .. but hopefully it ended up being correct once they finished
One leaf spring was put back in the backwards after the shackle hanger was weld in the frame. The next day I worked on it I flipped it around the correct way before I installed the axle with u-bolts.

Why did you even bother with springs? You may as well just go ahead and weld it solid with no suspension. The thickness of that spring pack is giving you about the same damn thing.
