It's really NOT a missed opportunity... They're going for the classic look when the original trilogy didn't even reference the shuttle, nor did the resistance version.... So they did it right
yeah unless they suddenly put one in ep 9 to me they shouldn't do it, for all we know a modification made it so that's why he never replaced it.

Making a new sculpt just to fit the escape craft (which you can’t use on the rebel falcon anyway) would have been a massive waste of money for ffg.

Interesting with the quick build cards. I didn’t know they weren’t subject to the official costings and upgrade slots. That explains the resistance Transport quick build using 3 crew slots.
As I play casually the quick build with Luke and Han gunners actually looks great for some thematic play.

I absolutely love Fantasy Flight Star Wars miniatures (both X-wing and Armada). I have never played the games, but I do have several of their miniatures, and am eagerly wanting to get ( I need to look up the status on it) the Super Star Destroyer for Armada. These miniatures, and Bandai's models, are some of the most highly detailed sculpts and paints I've ever seen. Lots of love and reverence seems to have gone into these minis. Like I said...never played the games. I usually use these as physical references for when I build my 3D CG models in Blender, and animate them in iClone 7. Thank you for sharing.
Yeah, the changes were most definitely decided after the expansions were put together. At least the Saw's Renegades expansion U-Wings and the YT-2400 can equip illicits for Rebel-only players.
I like that the saucer dish is movable.

To answer your question about the quickbuilds.. Sorta. These cards look adjusted from the inital release QB's.
Chewie, for example, on the original QB, along with everything listed on that card, ALSO had Engine Upgrade and Predator
Lando had Concussion Missiles instead of Homing, and didnt include R3 Astro or Hull Upgrade.
Outer Rim Smuggler is completely different from the original QB.
Overall, those QB's seem very similar, but 'tweaked'.
You realize that Chewbacca quick build is a recreation of the escape from the Death Star (Han and Luke in turrets, Chewie at the controls with Leia over his shoulder and R2 and 3PO wandering around the ship.
Now all we need is them vs four TIE Fighters.
Expansion contents are fixed like 6 months before they get shipped. Unless it’s a needed errata like guardians of the republic dials they won’t change the contents after the fact

When mine arrives, I think it will be my 7th Falcon, as I have 2 originals, 1 Resistance, and 3 Landu's...what can I say? I love the Millennium Falcon!

The resistance Falcon looks a small % smaller. Great model and I love the engine paint. Freaking awesome.

It's just the angle and the position of both, he puts the 2.0 slightly more near than the resistance version. Basically optical illusion with the camera.
It is a beautiful ship even with slight battle damage
There's something about this paint job that makes it look a bit more lively. Not really much as to make you buy a new Millennium Falcon if you already own one, but a good enough change on it's own if you still don't own one.

I love x-wing but unfortunately haven’t had much of an opportunity to play it this summer. All of my ships are from the original version of the game. Would it be worth it to potentially have to buy 4 conversion kits or sale all my minis and start over?

My boyfriend (I'm Gay) got me a B-wing for our 3 year anniversary, and I got him an A-wing (among other things) .
I've known that quick builds broke the rules since I got the core set (last week) and there's tie fighter quick builds with 2 mods
I have two scum Falcons now if I was to buy the resistance conversion kit would there be any issues of using my to scum falcons as resistance falcons because they're technically the same model

It's funny there's a rigged cargo chute in this one, but I'll take it. I want more of the "loose cargo" cardboard anyway, and I don't actually have a rebel falcon yet. :D

Is it the same size as the original falcon?
Han Solo with R2D2 and Inertial Dampeners was starting to become a problem in the meta. Wasn't seen much but when it was seen, it was a nuisance. Han Solo could always stop in one place no issue because of R2D2 regenning a shield. Then you add in Kanan who could clear stress after a white move, and Engine Upgrade to make that boost white, you could dial in a 3+ move each turn, and if that put you in a bad spot you could just use Damps to stay put, Kanan clear the stress, and then if you wanted you could boost too. Made Han very hard to pin down. So they decided to strip the illicit slot and increase the cost of Damps.
I just must fly this think as fast as i can.... My walet is crying right now tho :D

I have no reason to buy this since I already have 3 Falcons, but yeah the addition of useless cards now that they have changed it seems to me they had no plans to change the Falcons upgrade slots.
After all these yrs I didn't know that the MF had a shuttle attachment. Is this only for this model or has it appeared in any of the movies???

I've been debating jumping into xwing. I got into armada last year and legion this year. Is it worth it to jump into it?
I would say yes. Its fun and easy to learn, and easy to get in to. Theres also seven factions to choose from, each with unique upgrades and playstyles: Rebellion, Empire, Republic, Seperatist, Resistance, First Order, and Scum and Villiany.
I’d recommend choosing one of the factions and sticking to it for a while and then dabbling into the other ones later if you’d like.
At least you got int to something. I bought 12 ships (6 empire and 6 rebels) from X-Wing 1.0, then after seeing Crabbok´s vids, I went to Armada, bought 6 rebels and 4 Empire ships, but in the end, never started to play any of hem... Now, with the 2.0 verion for X-Wing, things went even worse as now I have to buy the conversion kit just to get started. Sad...
@@gilbertogawa9372 that sucks man! I found somebody who was interested in starting with me before I started collecting. I buy the ships and troops for both armies but he is always down to play.

Are all the cards in the conversion kit included in this falcon release ?
Yes. None of the reprints are supposed to have any original material besides quickbuild cards. The only thing you're missing is the rigged cargo chute template, which you might have to go out of your way to acquire. In 1.0, only the Shadowcaster had it.
Pardon my ignorance, this is my first look at 2.0, where are the point costs on the card?
The points and upgrades are now in an app and on FFG's website. They change them every 6 months, adjusting costs, upgrades, and what is legal in which format now. There are also "Quickbuild" cards that give you a ship build with relative power level, that you can use to form builds in a whole separate type of format.
The 2.0 Millennium Falcon looks a little bigger than the 1.0. Maybe it’s just me?

What they're doing is messing with the falcon again. They should have just made inertial dampeners points on a sliding scale based on initiative and made that particular build more expensive.

Just my two cents but that is not the same sculpt as it is to different scales, but with that it mind it might have been based on the same model used from the computer which they generated the final size. Yeah I know I am nit picking. LOL. But it is the best looking hunk of junk in the galaxy.

FFG messing around with upgrade slots has got to go. Selling afterburners with the Fang Fighter was a nice joke, but now I get to explain to my nephew who I planned to buy a YT1300 for why it comes with a Rigged Cargo Chute card with the Falcon printed on the damn thing and cargo debris token that he is NOT ABLE TO USE. I feel like FFG have completely given up making this game newbie-friendly and I see that reflected in my local 2.0 player population. Their how to play tutorial video on their main channel is still 1.0 for goodness sake.
