Paintjob is fantastic, would have been really cool if they had done an alternate sculpt with the ball turret though. Glad they are including Y-Wing stuff, but agree it's odd they didn't include Backwards Tailslide for X-Wing
At first I said how much Fugitives & Collaborators excites me more, and ok it still does, but after a day I realized just how much is in this one too. More than just two limited options for A-Wing pilots, some fun epic stuff, S-Foils for my B-Wings without having to get the Aces pack, upgrades for my Y-Wings, and even a decent amount of upgrades I wouldn't of otherwise gotten due to not playing other factions or buying the aces pack.
I wish they would've created a modified sculpt to account for the prototype having a manned turret at the bottom, and different cannons on the wingtips. Likewise, I would've loved if the A-wings had the early coke-bottle shaped laser cannons as depicted in Rebels.
My original B-Wing from version 1 has a magnet inserted where the stand connects. it can rotate but no folding wings. I went out and bought the 2.0 B-wing when it first came out. I still do not have the cards that take advantage of the folding s-foils. You know what? I STILL want this model! Have not had a chance to play with real models since Covid began :( . Our club were just starting up an escalation competition when the first lock-down hit.
Hoping they try and include some of these themed "factions" into play more often. Could help expand list building without adding too much since it could be done in app entirely.
Can't wait for mine (and the other new squadron packs) to arrive! While I get that this one is themed to Rebels, I am a bit sad to not see Keyan Farlander return to 2.0 for the B-Wing thus far...do you think he'll be back at some future point in another cards-only aces pack or something? (I'd have thought he might be out in the earlier one for 2.0 there as well, but again, no...!?!)
Love the new paint jobs! Though this is great for new players, what if you already have 3 B-wings and 4 A-wings and don’t need any more models but just want the cards? It feels bit like 1.0 where you buy models you don’t need for just a few cards.
I think I'd have gone with the 1.0 B-wing as the prototype to emphasise where the ship fits in the development. Get rid of the s-foils for the same reason.

Yeh the models are of Green Squadron not Phoenix. The artwork on Green Squadron Pilot and Sabine Wren pilot cards match. They must have thought the Phoenix colours were too similar to other available A-wings. I can't place Green Squadron I guess Sabine flew one at some point?
Depends on what you like better, empire comes with 2 ties so you’d have 5 ships total but I think the X Wing is stronger/more versatile than tie fighters. The defender with Vader in it is also a solid choice

Man, I'm digging the Hera themed experimental B-Wing
And to think I was scratch-building all those models in the same size as those, but in the 80’s with no laser cutters and no 3D printers

I got all of my preorders this morning. I'm very happy with all 3 expansions and the extra new upgrades

The mixed ship wing is so cinematic. Wouldn't mind seeing some clarification on building them and the differences between movement dials

Depends on what you like better, empire comes with 2 ties so you’d have 5 ships total but I think the X Wing is stronger/more versatile than tie fighters. The defender with Vader in it is also a solid choice
