There is a big damn difference between putting a little sugar in the sauce to balance out the flavors, and just eating a spoon full sugary sweet spaghetti.
No respectable Italian Nona is co-signing syrupy sweet sauce to balance out acidity.
It's because we Americans have an addiction to sugar, hence the reason high fructose corn syrup is added to absolutely everything.
@Elizabeth Watters I agree that Americans in particular have a sugar and salt addiction. However, everyone didn't grow up with an Italian Noma and everyone doesn't need an Italian Noma's "approval" to tell them what they consider to taste good or bad. Also, considering the fact that the spaghetti he's eating is a traditional staple in the Philippines, I'm not understanding the correlation between that and America's problem with sugar.

I'm from the Philippines. It's so heart warming seeing other people across the globe showing how the love and appreciation for Jollibee. Here in the Philippines, it's most of the goto's for fast food for us Filipinos. We love eating Chickenjoy becauseee you're not Filipino if you don't love rice lol.
I was in the Philippines in 2012 and man the Jollibee was so good! Oh and the Asado Siopao from Chow King! Matter of fact everything I had was fire!!!!!!
When I saw your 1st video about Jollibee maybe 10 months ago. It reminded me of my first time going to Jollibee.
It's when you dipped the chicken to the gravy. You took your first bite. You stopped. Your eyes lit up. And you said 1 word reverently. "DAMN".
I remember going to the 1st Jollibee store. For ice cream. My family ended up getting the chicken and gravy. Then, they opened another branch close to a church. At least 2 - 3 times a month, Sunday after church. So brunch and dinner, as my Papa and Mama will order more prior to us leaving to take home. That is our treat.

The gravy had to grow on me. The first time I had Jollibee, I didn't like the gravy but now it's a MUST. And yes, the fact that I don't have to ask for Dark meat and the Chicken good is why Jollibee to me is the BEST FRIED FAST FOOD CHICKEN.

Have you tried Red Ribbon? They are a Philippino bakery but they have food as well. In Houston, they are usually close to a Jollibee location. I love their empanada and butter mamon cake.

i really think eating the spaghetti and palabok while it's hot really makes a huge difference, cuz it becomes kinda hard when its cold. Alsoooo try eating the chicken with the rice, I think you'll like it.

Hey! When I saw the date this video was released (6 days ago) I thought "oh, this is new!" So I watched it right away. The very first time I saw you eating Jollibee was insane. I can feel your joy the same as how we, Filipino people, felt when we were still little kids until now that we are already adults. And by the way, the pie you got on this video is not new. Here in the Philippines we call it "Buko Pinya Pie" and this is the very first flavour of Jollibee pies I have ever tasted. So sad I couldn't find it anymore here in the branches near me. But Jollibee's still the best! 😊
