    Fish and chips... plus a Polish beer... on the Sopot pier. Memories... are made of this.

    My sister-in-law is Polish so we went to their wedding in 2006. Stayed in Gdansk for 3 days, visiting the Tri-cities. The wedding itself was in Malbork Cathedral.
    Our visit to Poland was amazing. A beautiful place with such wonderful, friendly people who welcomed us New Zealanders with open arms.

    The maintenance of an organ like that is tremendous. They’re doing a fantastic job because it sounds and looks gorgeous. Thanks for taking us along!

    Poland is the land of my ancestors. I love your travelogues especially when you focus on the history. The cathedral was amazing. I was seeing Lake Michigan in your views of the water. That is, until the camera turned around and looked at the architecture facing the shoreline.

    I loved Blekitny Pudel, right across the street from the wiggly house in Sopot. Great food, and they make herbata z dżemem just the way I like it.

    This is a must stop at the Oliwa Cathedral if you are in Gdansk area. We visited it in 2018 and it left a lasting impression. The caustics are phenomenal but you also feel the music through the body, quite the experience.

    Loved the pier in Sopot. The day we went was cloudy with light rain, but still beautiful.

    The most beautiful city in Poland, one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. There is everything here: monuments, great architecture, wind from the Baltic Sea and happy people of the sea. Gdansk is connected with other cities such as: Sopot and Gdynia, which is called the Trojmiasto. Beautiful beaches and tasty regional cuisine.

    Hi Kids!! Love these travel and food Vlogs from Gdansk!! I am thrilled to see that Thai restaurant there as I was just wondering if there are any Thai people in Poland!! And BTW Mark Phuket is pronounced as "Poo-Ket" which is the name of a resort town here in Thailand. 😂😂😂

    Great video, as always. I'd like to point out however, that the Oliwa pipe organ is far from the largest in Poland. The biggest (single instrument) is in the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist in Wrocław (~15000 pipes, 5 keyboards. Sadly, it's in appaling condition). Even larger one is in Licheń (multiple organs that can be controlled from a common 6 keyboards console).

    Oliva is also a center of Gdańsk !!!!! You didn't go to Gdynia or to Gdynia clif. There is a cool emigration museum and an oceanarium. You could go to see seal island - it is a cool trip (if you want to see baltic seals live, like boats, and do not have sea sickness during sailing).

    We just went to Sopot in July. It wasn’t as crowded as I thought it would be. It was wonderful!! I was hoping to find a restaurant with really good fish but the one we went to (on the beach) was not too exciting. So any recommendations next time we’re in Sopot?

    Oh okay, just ignore my last question, as I e now finished the first Gdańsk video where you answered my question!! So thank you. I’m thinking of going to Sopot by boat from Gdańsk for something different! Have you done that trip please?
    Cheers from Australia

    You stated the Cathedral with the pipe organ was 7 miles outside of Gdańsk,is that closer to Sopot or Gdynia?

    • @markhurning8051
      @markhurning8051 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Much closer to Sopot than Gdynia. The cathedral is south of Sopot, and Gdynia north of Sopot. Thanks for watching!
