Hi Jay and Karolina, Great video brought back very happy memories. I visited Gdansk 12 years ago in the height of summer. The Basilica is such a fantastic building.
Thanks for sharing! We totally agree - Gdańsk is a very nice city to visit 😍The view from above was also breathtaking and added another perspective of this medieval-looking city 👀
omg ive been looking for this channel for ages, I'm i fan of the gig hustle channel and it helped me alot with my second job as a delivery rider, I knew you had another channel for you world trips i just couldn't find it, im glad your still travelling, have fun and enjoy Poland
@@JayandKarolina yay more content :), no I'm British but my ex boyfriend was from Poznan, I met him during my gap year from university when I was traveling through Europe, Poland is a beautiful country and I wanna move there someday.
Gdańsk was completely destroyed during WW2, but was rebuilt after the war. All tenement houses were built from scratch and have a completely different plan and layout. It was similar with Wroclaw and Poznań. Destroyed Elbląg and Olsztyn, as well as many smaller towns, were rebuilt in a rather free form. And then there's Warsaw, where a small part of the old town and the castle were rebuilt.
Yes, we pointed it out in this and our Warsaw episodes since it makes a huge difference! We're glad to show people around the medieval-style of architecture (that was obviously re-constructed) and some official brick buildings because it actually shows how the city could have looked like in the past!
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE PIJANA WIŚNIA 😍🍒 Even if we don't drink much usually, whenever in Poland/earlier also Ukraine, we needed to visit it couple of times haha. Really??? It's so interesting! Thanks for sharing because I had no idea 🇪🇺
Cześć wam, zwiedzajcie i nam pokazujcie fajne miejsca. Kłódki na moście to nie jest ani polski wynalazek, ani coś dla Polski charakterystycznego. Musicie zobaczyć mosty w Korei! Ale nawiasem to moda ogólnoświatowa, może ktoś wie skąd przybyła?
Hey! We've been to Korea and we're going again to film later this year :) I have no idea where it started but various online articles say different countries all together haha
We've been thinking of going there because it's a historic as well as architectural masterpiece indeed but not in each video we want to showcase the museums 😉 Since there's a big proportion of people that would find it boring, we sometimes decide not to record such places. Nevertheless, them places you've just mentioned are definitely worth "experiencing" in real life!
@@JayandKarolina maybe it’s a setting? It’s almost like a fish lense where the sides of the screen get distorted. If you watch the first minute or so you should be able to see what I mean.
@@Chris-yk9gs hey Chris - Karolina responded in the previous comment. We use the wide angle lens on the GoPro to capture more of the scene around us. The is always lens distortion with wide angle lenses so it's a bit of a trade off. Most of the vloggers use wide angle but we are testing out a new camera for our UK series. It has a wide angle lens but maybe it will be better 👍
What do you find the most interesting in Gdańsk?! 🌊

Krakow, Gdańsk and Warsaw are my favorite cities in Poland. Greetings from London.

I like these cities very much too! Krakow videos on the way - also we are going to be doing a UK series too very soon! :D
I like Wroclaw, too.
And Poznan

Hey! Funny you mentioned Gig Hustle - I recorded a video for that channel just today. It should be out in the next week or so :) Are you from Poland?

Hi Jay thank you so much for the video you made 😄
Hi Karolina, you are beautiful and nice 😘😘😘
What a nice weather you had in Gdansk 🌞 I found this city very pleasant when you can sightsee by walking and see hidden spots!
Exactly! That’s what we love the most 😍
What a wonderful country and foods cultures 😊
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
That’s true! I’m now used to the culture more because Karolina is from Poland but I’m still loving all the foods 😍
Karolina looking at this honey cake ;) Yummy
When in Gdańsk you should visit KL Stuthoff. Very close to Gdańsk
Carolina is an absolute gem, beautiful and charming!
Such kind words 🩷 Thank you! K.
Super Jay! Super Karolina!
Thank you so much! DziękujeMY 😍✌️
Just arrived today, it's very beautiful 😍
It really is! Enjoy your weekend! Gdansk is one of our favourite Polish cities indeed 😍🌊
Super ! Next time I also recommend small, charming towns such as Grudziądz or Chełmno : )
Thanks for the tips! We would need to definitely film more local content next series! 😬
21:50 😍😍😍 in my opinion IT IS a spectacular night view 🌃, but the church’s panorama beats it!
We loved that bird’s-eye view too 😍 And it felt like we’ve earned it with so many steps haha
great
Did we miss the famous post office of Gdańsk?
Welcome to my city :D

1:04 - it is the biggest brick church in the World I think :)
Possibly! Definitely in Europe :)
❤❤❤❤❤
Pijana Wiśnia is the best. W 2004-tym, z powodu konfliktu w temacie czerwonych owoców, o mały włos nie przyjęliby nas do UE. 😅

Haha that’s insane 😬
Sorry if I manipulated the session time for this vid
What do you mean exactly? :)
Carolina took you to the bridge because she wanted you to put a lock on it! What were you thinking....😂
The guy treats her like crap. He interrupts her constantly when she speaks and I don't like the tone with which he calls her a doughnut
Haha, possibly 🤪 Sometimes she has there ideas! @PLnNL

czy możecie zmienić tło w napisach po polsku. Teraz są one nieczytelne. Pozdrawiam Wideo jest SUPER.
These are the TH-cam in-built settings 😇 Thank you very much! Hope the clarity of subtitles won't be such a huge issue for you!
Please, put on screen what the dishes are called.
We always try to explain the names as much as we can but maybe the lettering would be more helpful for you, I agree :)

Hey man your camera is warping the buildings. It makes it hard to watch.
