Thank you. Your channel is very underrated compared to the value you provide. Your accent is difficult to follow but content is superb. Well done and keep it up ….your niche should be all researchers. So we need more contents from you.
I tried this, and it seems to be working perfectly. I haven't tried to import it to another computer, since I haven't had the need yet, but I see no reason for it not to work. Great job and thanks for the upload!
The video you uploaded is very helpful. Are you still using Zotero 6? When I upgraded to Zotero 7, zotfile stopped working. I think the version of zotfile that is compatible with Zotero 7 has not been released yet. Am I right?
Thanks it worked previously for me. Now they have updated to Zotero7 and it doesn't support the "The add-on "\zotfile-5.1.2-fx.xpi" could not be installed. It may be incompatible with this version of Zotero". Can you please help if there is any other alternative to this or how zotfile can work with new version? Thanks a lot
Amazing Job Buddy! It was great to see my friend's video in the top search suggestions. Followed your steps and everything is working fine. Thanks! - Nazmul, IPE'11.
Linked PDFs in Zotero do not work with the mobile Zotero app or with Zotero Groups. Only in the Zotero Desktop program (on computers). You could of course access your cloud PDF folder outside of the Zotero mobile app, but only for PDF reading via an external PDF reader.
Is this possible to do it with multiple folders? The literature is organized by topics both in Zotero and GDrive, so is there anyway to advanced configuration and sync for each collection = Zoter and folder = GDrive
It worked perfectly for „My Library“ but not for a „Group Library“ did I make a mistake? Or maybe it just doesn’t work? Is there maybe a workaround somebody knows? Thanks in advance!
Right-click on one or more PDFs. Then in the pop-up menu, select (Zotfile's) Manage Attachments\Rename and Move. The PDFs will be converted to linked PDFs and moved to Zotfile's Custom Location (your cloud PDF folder). If you ever want to move them back into local Zotero storage, use Tools\Manage Attachments\Convert Linked Files to Stored Files.
It does via your Zotero Account. But you have to do the highlighting and commenting with Zotero (by double clicking the attachment / the PDF in your Zotero Library and thus opening it in Zotero and then do the highlighting and commenting), otherwise the syncing will not work.
@@nosferatualucard2613 for some reason, it's not working for me 🤔.... it didn't sync old highlighting and commenting, nor the new after I did the procedure 😔
This is NOT putting the database in the cloud (which as you say Zotero advises strongly against). Only the linked PDFs are in the cloud. The database is synced via Zotero syncing, which is free and unlimited for data. Linked PDFs are specifically supported by Zotero.
I was looking for these steps all over the youtube and it finally succeed. Great job

This was straight to the point. I was so confused about how to do this. Thank you!!

You are welcome

same issue here
Zotfile was not upgraded for Zotero v7. You need a new plugin, either zotmoov or attanger. See the official Zotero forum for discussion.
same here

Hi, thanks for your useful tips, but I got stuck. Do you how to sync pdf files in iPad using google drive?

Thanks mate. Great video. Clear and to the point - best of all it just works!
Thank you Shuvangkar. In which field are you doing your PhD?

Hi, is there a way to sync and get the files to open on iPad. I tried your method and it appears, it cannot open the synced files on an IPad.
Do I need to have same account logged in both Google Drive and Zotero for syncing?
Amazing ❤
Others needed an hour for the same, but know I know how to plus why.
❤❤❤
Do you have a way for the new version of Zotero, where the Zotfile Addon doesnt exist anymore?
zotfile cannot be added on zotero 7... any update soon?
Heyy thank you! Your video really help me
Thanks
amazing video friend. keep going

Zotero's linked attachment files don't work for Groups, the Zotero online web library, or the Zotero mobile apps.
Thanks so much for the guidance!
Welcome
great job amazingly simple
Thank you
Why so complicated ? Use a friendly Webdav Provider and thats it...why a thrid party plugin ?
我发现此说明中的图像无法同步。有什么办法可以做到这一点吗?
Thank you very much, but still some files are stored in Users/user/Zotero/storage folder.

@@vw9659 Wiil I be able to search the text of the pdfs if they are linked?
not working ~ waste of time ~
Working fine for almost six months now. Although I am using Syncthing for syncing pdfs.
Does this also work with the Ipad/Tablet App?
I'm also wondering about this question?
I didn’t try. The iPad doesn’t have a detailed configuration like the PC. Therefore it shouldn’t
thank you so much!
how i can do this in linux?

That's what zotero advice against. Putting database on cloud and using it %99 corrupt your database. DYOR
