The thing is, Canada is a big country and some parts of the country are colder than others. The west coast of Canada has much warmer winters than the Prairies or Quebec. There is almost no snow in Victoria or Vancouver. I live in Toronto and I find winters here to be not so cold. We also get very little snow, so winter here is pretty good. A few times a year, we get a cold snap where the temperature goes under -10c (my breaking point) but it's never more than 30 days a year. Toronto also has a huge underground city where you can walk around and stay warm. It covers a big part of the downtown core and makes life easier on those -10c days!!! I lived in Montreal for almost 10 years and it's much colder and snowier than Toronto but the weather did not bother me, as I loved the city so much! Stay out of Edmonton and the Prairie provinces if you hate cold weather!!!

If it ever happens, I would wear proper clothing to survive -30° or -50°. That's what I would do 🙂
