- Today's daily update video from South Africa is from 20 September 2024. In this video, we start with rain around South Africa today. It was raining in Richards Bay, Empangeni and Jeffreys Bay. Big dust storm over Kroonstad on the Highway. Then a train ride on the Power Van at George up the pass. We attend the Africa Aerospace and Defence (AAD) in Pretoria and the Annual SPCA Golf Day at The Modderfontein Golf Club. Sugarcane fields and hills before Melmoth towards Vryheid. The lighthouse at Doringbaai and Cape Town as seen from Tygerberg. Cold day and usual traffic in Thembisa. A strong south easter blowing in Noordhoek, and we will visit several more places across South Africa.
Here's a short weather forecast for South Africa today:
A powerful cut-off low is set to form on Friday, bringing extremely cold, wet, and windy weather to the central and eastern regions of the nation starting today, with the potential for widespread snowfall as well. Disruptive snowfall is anticipated to cause service interruptions and temporarily cut off communities in the north-eastern high ground of the Eastern Cape, the south-western high ground of KwaZulu-Natal Province, and the south-eastern regions of the Free State Province. Get ready for some disruptive snow! Icy roads and temporary closures of mountain passes are on the horizon for the northern and central high-ground of the Eastern Cape, as well as the western high-ground of KwaZulu-Natal. Stay safe out there! Get ready for some disruptive snow! Icy roads and temporary closures of certain mountain passes are on the horizon for the north-eastern and southern regions of the Free State. Expect challenges in navigation at sea and some localised disruptions at harbours or ports between Port Edward and Kosi Bay due to wind and waves. Strong winds are on the way, creating tough driving conditions and the potential for flying debris in the North Cape and the western areas of the Free State and North West Province. Be aware that the western and central regions of the Northern Cape are facing extremely high fire danger conditions.

How and when did this disaster happen at the Manyami resort at Sun .
Hi, Doreen. Mostly all of the resort at Manyane have burned. Though the area of the campsite is still good, the kitchen, restaurant, offices, and conference centre are all gone. There is no news regarding the exact location or method of starting the fire. On February 27, 2024, the fire started.
0:03 what are you doing on the fast lane? 😮
