I have always felt as you regarding the Akasha and I have associated it with the tao and the Yuan Qi which all other elements and expressions of yin/yang(electric and magnetic fluids)
reflecting on Bardon, Taoist magick and the great work it seems from the perspective of Taoist alchemy the objective is to reverse engineer manifestation, fusing energies returning them back into previous forms and ultimately this creates a conduit back to the Dao or Akasha, then Xian (immortality, enlightenment etc) is attained when pure l yang is transmitted from the yuan qi into the conduit refining the bodies into the golden body.
I don't know if any method is faster or better but I think Bardon was dealing with a much more materialistic society so wrote to initiate that society from the most material level to the most subtle.

As a Bardon practioneer who also has delved into other system of thoughts, I agree to the first statements.
Initiation into Hermetics does aim at the same thing.
The answer to the question of which is faster does indeed have an answer. The first answer is that it depends on the person and what resonates with them more and the second answer is that with full dedication in both, Bardon's would be faster.
Also, one thing that Clint doesn't speak about is Non-Dual light. This is the stage above Akasha and is the true Dao, Ketheric Brilliance, and Nirvana. This is what is referenced in deeper teachings of daoism. It is beyong the wuji.
I recommend taking a look at Sixty Skills of Meditation's youtube and he'll have a video on enlightenment that describes it from a hermetic perspective. He'll discuss how akasha plays into Non-dual light.
If Clint reads this, I think it would be best for the watchers if you made a video on the attainment of Non-Dual light. It's a main step in IIH but isn't referenced in the book. It's a main part of Step 10.
Anywho, it would be very well appreciated.

I think which is faster largely depends on innate ability. While Hermeticism is far quicker when it comes to gaining minor siddhis like energy healing, clairvoyance and what not, few people have the innate talent to progress in Bardon's system in the first place. Most people I tried to teach could not get past Step II's sense concentrations, even though for me it took only a week to get through them all. Hermeticism is also less demanding with time and consistency than Daoism, practice sessions will tend to max out at 30mins while Qi Gong practitioners will practice every day for hours to get consistent but very slow progress. I've practiced both systems and found my progress in both to be fast, but with Bardon's it was way faster and you gain new siddhis in practically every step past the 2nd. With Daoism, siddhis only come to the very advanced and have to be taught by a master, because they are closely guarded secrets. And it's nothing too impressive either, it all amounts to weak telekinesis to move objects and setting paper on fire, which you can already do with a matchstick. Empty force is real, but only works on a willing training partner so it's useless in a fight. The other Qigong powers are shared with Hermeticism, such as seeing, hearing and feeling the astral world, healing people, astral projection, etc... but come much later in practice. Hermeticism will teach you how to create and summon elementals to aid and protect you, change the temperature, strengthen and quicken your body, alter the weather, influence other people, talk to spirits, manifest wealth and prosperity, and that's only in the first book. The second book of Bardon's system of Hermeticism teaches how to summon very powerful entities that can teach you all manner of things, including ways to reach enlightenment that have not yet been revealed to humans. And finally, the third and last book of Bardon's Hermeticism teaches how to harness the power of the word, which is the most powerful magical system of them all and will shatter all your previous preconceptions of what is possible.
The one caveat is that Hermeticism places more emphasis on the struggle for the cause of Good. You're expected to use your powers in the service of humanity, not for degenerate ends. Theosis or fusion with God (The All) is still the end result, but specific guidance to this end is supposed to be obtained from spirits, not books. Daoism is only concerned with enlightenment, and lacks such limitations. You'll be less powerful, but there's a clearer roadmap to Dao if you have the right masters. But you will never progress very far in Qigong/Neigong/NeiDan without a master, that's it's main weakness. I'm currently experimenting with using hermetic techniques to move past that barrier, as I happen to enjoy Neigong practice but don't have a genuine master near me.

@@DualityAintItI wouldn't say you achieve nirvana in Step 10 unless you severely water down its definition. In Buddhism, major siddhis such as flight and teleportation will manifest before even getting to that level.

@@dentkort I guess it depends on which school of Taoism you are talking about, later forms of Taoism are concerned with transcending the body and are heavily influenced by Buddhism were earlier schools are much more materialistic in that they saw physical existence itself as spiritual in that cultivating it was spirituality.
Xian was about physical immortality ultimately not just astral immortality.
Personally I haven't met anyone who mastered IIH, or even got past the first few steps. can you share some of your experiences with mastering the steps and attaining the siddhi's that may give insight as to what one is doing wrong?

@@dabblerdeluxe775I only personally know one other person that was able to get far into Bardon's system, besides myself. He was the person that referred me to the system in the first place. After I lost contact with that person I have known a handful that attempted to get into the system but failed to get past Step II. As far as I was told, it was always the sensory concentrations that were too much for people. I had trouble with the auditory and smell concentrations, but it only took me 3 days at most with each. I myself am currently between the 8th and the 9th step of Initiation into Hermetics and also progressing through the first key of The Key to the True Kabbalah which teaches the magic of the word. Still, I believe those other people would have eventually mastered this step had they kept practicing, I know a guy that reached the end of the third step for example and mastered the vital power, though this was over a year ago and I haven't talked to him since, I don't know his current level. So basically, just keep practicing. True celibacy helps immensely, it's like easy mode for meditation. So try that for say, two weeks if you're having trouble.
As far as experiences go, I've had all that Bardon states is necessary to progress into the 9th step, the same applies to the third book with the first key, which I am almost halfway through. So energy healing, changing the temperature, influencing people and similar. I've also, had much better results in using hermeticism to boost my own athleticism as a martial artist than with nei kung, though I still practice nei kung and plan to do the 100 days of celibacy required for nei dan, because I find these systems a lot of fun to practice (I do Tien Shan Nei Kung from the late Steve Gray's vimeo courses, with a previous background in Damo Mitchell's Daoist Nei Gong book. I can easily do the Chi ball without effort in seconds, can fill my lower dan tian with Chi in less than 15 minutes and know how to switch the auric field that expands from it from yin to yang and backwards on command).
If you have more questions feel free to ask, always happy to help a brother on the path. Send me an email if you wish to speak in private.

Thanks ! This resonate for me with a philosophical theory, the theory of emptiness.
Matter need a cause to exist, but how is it possible ? It never really exist and is virtual.
But emptiness doesn't need any cause, so it always "exist" infinitely at any time.
In a empty space there's also an infinity of other empty space.
I don't know how but any emptiness could transmit information with no limit in speed like the speed of light, it could be instantaneous.
Now this empty universe could be compared to an infinite quantum computer.
Maybe also there's always an infinite number of new empty space.
Those are directly in contact with all the concept that could exist, math, love, art, etc..
But to really understand the concept of love and some other's, we need to live in worlds like this one.
Where we will have to make some choice and to try to shine, give and receive, ...
So easily the infinite quantum computer create all kind of virtual world.
In some way it could be strange to think that this is only emptiness, but this emptiness is not a weak thing at all.
It's invincible, immortal, it could reach infinite consciousness, it's alive and it could resonate and be pure love.
