- One of my Instagram followers asked me recently how I propagate begonias and even though I am by no means an expert in propagating begonias, I thought I would do a quick video showing how I have successfully propagated begonias in the past.
If you want to check out someone who is a bit of an expert on begonias and propagating "security" plants. Check out Rachel and casey on heart Shaped Leaves

Hola, me está siendo imposible propagarla, es súper complicado, se me pudren los tallos, las hojas, ni con musgo? Al final a ti te funcionó? Saludos
THANK YOU!!!! You explained the amount of water for the moss so well!!! It’s definitely the best explanation I have heard!!!
Thank you very much for this video, I bought my first collection of begonia after i watched your video . Hopefully I can keep them alive .
Ohhhh good luck 🍀🍀🍀 they are such lovely plants 💚
Recently found your channel. I love watching your content ❤️🙏👏
Thank you for the tips. I have propagated begonias since last summer but it was always so loooong! I’m going to try in sphagnum and cutting the leaf next time!
Thank you so much. I've been trying everything except apparently the proper way. I can't wait to begin, I'm off. Ty ty ty
How I wish to have that one also..I Love begonias also.
Thank you for this. ❤❤
Hi, thank you, just did this. How often do you wet the moss?
Finally I full explanation on how to propergate these, I have had no success so far time to try again. Thanks for the vid I do look forward to your vids always something interesting. I just got myself a Philodendron Jerry Horne tip cutting any chance of a indepth care vid on this ? Would be great if you could there is not much info out there on this specific plant.
I'd be interested in what Memo thinks too. I'd never use a tip cutting at all. Especially from a vine. I heard it doesn't work and anytime I've tried it will root fine but never really grow for me. Now I toss the tip and use a section from further down the stem.
The tip propagation is always tricky, if it has at least one mature leaf (fully hardened) it tends to work, if not I find the plant tissue, gets stuck trying to grow leaves and not roots which means that it can fail. My suggestion with top cuttings is try to grab one with a mature leaf on too 😊
Love, love, love your video and that BEAUTIFUL begonia! Any chance you sell rooted babies?
Thank you for the tips. Really appreciate it. I have the exactly same species thenone you propagate. Miserably failed the first time until now. I'll try your technique.
Can i know how to you water this type of begonia...
Thank you for the tips. I enjoyed your video. I just have a question. When is the best time for soil after its already rooted in sphagnum moss? Thank you in advance and love all the plants behind you.
Normally i would say when there is several roots and probably when they are at least 10-20cm long, if that makes sense.
Can the same method be applied to propagate Begonia Listada?
