We have had our husky pizza pupperoony for 1 week now and we are completely obsessed. He is mischievous and definitely has a will of his own but he is sweet and friendly and wants to make friends with everybody in the neighborhood whether they want to be friends or not! I had my worries about adopting this breed because I know that they are not the best choice for first time dog owners, but this TH-cam channel gives so much reassurance and great advice with a great heaping spoonful of humor!
I think that huskies are one of the only dogs that stay .ajestic cute and beautiful, and perhaps they are even more cute when they grown 😳

Adopted 2 1/2 Siberian Huskies from wonderful Richardson Tx (Dallas sub) SPCA. Litter of 7 w mom found on roadside at age appr 5days in winter. We r Devoted to them & so grateful for them. Ah! I must also mention. Please please do research on Blue Buffalo. When I adopted my husky, the adoption center AND vet said to please avoid giving her blue buffalo and gave me a paper with the list of side effects they cause that we shrug off as normal or think is something else. It’s marketed towards humans. I recommend Hills!
Hills is recommended by vets because they fund their curriculum. IJS.

For the tug of war we usually use rope type toys, they tend to last a bit longer 😊

Hi Sixty! Great vid! There’s these cool toys at Petsmart that are plush, and they have hidden toys inside. I purchased two of them for my little huskaroni and she still hasn’t tore them up yet. She has a frog one that she goes to sleep with it’s so adorable. Oh I know she will eventually rip through those plushies she isn’t as tough with her plush toys just yet. It’s funny she loves chasing frisbees and her bro likes playing with tennis balls I guess some pups have their own preferences.
Just got a flirt pole/stick to play with my husky mix with, they are awesome for dogs with prey drive, they help them gain muscle which is something fixed dogs always need help with, highly recommend them!
My boy is 16 months now, I feed him canidae ancestral fish, and instinct frozen raw food, he is doing great on it, high protein, low carb diet, it's helping him stay super lean, people have asked me if I'm sure he's fixed a few times

When their filthy and stink, dirt usually can be brushed out once dry, so a little mud isn't a good enough reason for my family lol, if he doesn't stink we just rinse him, wait for him to dry, and brush the rest out, no reason to dry out his skin by removing natural oils

Hi @Sixty Formula! I just got a siberian husky named Coco but their is some things she does that i am not sure how to cope with. For example, she is always biting peoples hands and trying to nip our faces. Also,when people come over she gets scared and barks at them. If you have any tips please tell me them. FYI i love your videos and you have helped me through this journey with my new puppy. Thanks
Anya Desmond you can buy her bones and rubber toys to chew on and try to teach her to chew on the toys also try walking her around people and other dogs so she can be more social.

I need to know what size of a dog bed I should get for my huskie because I want it to be big whenever there older so I need some suggestions and places to get them
s c large for pups and extra large for adult dogs. Sixty has a video on some cot beds he has for his huskies. I personally purchased one off on amazon for about 40 bucks and they are pretty decent. The fabric is something similar to a pool cover but is breathable for huskies. Just search for a breathable cot raised dog bed. Not sure which video but sixty has one listed on his videos.

Roo .. should have her own Cat Tower! The Fancy Ones .. are pretty expensive. But .. if u have handy carpentry .. skills .. u can make your own! U can make the Smallest Simple Treehouse .. to the Largest Exotic One! Cats love them! Which makes it .. that much more special .. when it's made by u! A guy I dated .. made one for my cat! It turned out nice! We went to Home Depot & picked up all the necessary wood & material. Which u can get at any Home Builder Store & Cloth Store. My Cat .. Loved hers. She was always in it. It keeps them Entertained. And .. u can put all kinds of toys & ropes & levels .. on it. Like a hanging ball .. on a rope .. feathers .. enclosed home .. holes to climb through .. different level beds .. to sleep on .. etc. It can be really cool! :)

I'm not a dog trainer or anything, but a tip from owning a husky and getting her at 1.2 years old is that she/he can't be calm because puppies wanna play! They wanna get pets by poeple and playing with doggies! Ofcourse if you haven't already you can take him/her to a training school in witch she/he can learn tricks and to be calm.
Get your puppy tired before taking him/her anywhere. I always run with my one year old for at least 2 miles before going anywhere. Otherwise, good luck lol...
Snappy Titan yes ! Tired puppies make good companions! Silly I say this, my dog just turned 5 months. BUT she does tire quick, naps for 3 hours and at it again hahaha! Yeah I can imagine when she is older omg. Ya gotta keep in mind dogs will tire and when they wake up after a nap their batteries have been recharged!
@@ms.m256 I know what you mean lol, but don't overwork your puppy. It's bad for his/her bones. Playdates and Kong toys worked really well for my husky at that age. He is almost 1.5 now and his schedule is 5 miles jogging per day and playdates twice a week.

Place treats / a filled Kong in it before you leave, dogs/puppies are a bit suspicious of enclosed space at times so you have to encourage him/her

Sixty, gotta ask: I am looking to get a Husky but here's the thing, like most people, I work 8 hours a day, 5 days a week. So I don't have a home job. The other thing is: I am a runner, so I clock in 3-5 miles a day 4 days a week. I also live in a condo which is about 1000sq ft. What do you recommend I do? Is it doable to get a Husky still or not? If so, should I get a pup, or a young 1-2 year old husky?
Probably not if you really value your time because they take a lot of time and effort. As a runner that is good since huskies are athletic and will want an active owner. Maybe you could ask your job for some time off but I hope for the best for you. If you live in a condo it might not be doable unless manage to exercise them but huskies need space to run. Maybe if you have a park nearby but maybe if you have a backyard but huskies are active. Like bred for 100s of miles of sled pulling active
It is doable but they do require a lot of time especially as a puppy you need to train them, etc. You really need to dedicate it a lot of time or else your husky can and will try to dominate you if you don’t dedicate it enough time
@@Duhluzr21 Where I live at, there's alot of natural parks and trails. I also because of this pandemic, have saved up somewhere in the realm of about 270 hours of vacation time. So that will work in my favor. I would like to get a 1-2 year old ideally. A dog who I can still train but is not in that pup stage anymore. There's space I can throw a ball and frisbee. That's definitely not a problem. Thank so much, as I really appreciate the input.

I use harness when i go long walk away from roads ect with long lead use his collar around streets and busy places with shorter lead
I would not say it is more secure, it is how well your dog/husky is trained.

You can put some blankets on it to keep your dog warm
