It's been years since I heard this - pulled it up just now because I remembered the title for some reason. This is close enough to Johnny B. Goode that maybe Chuck Berry should have gotten at least a partial writing credit. Kind of like what the Beach Boys did with Surfin' USA.

@@MartinMCade Chuck Berry himself admitted that he stole the riff in "Johnny B Goode" from Carl Hogan. So maybe Hogan should have gotten at least a partial writing credit from Berry?

I saw a Bob Seger concert at a outdoor music festival in the late 70's in South Florida. It was in Fort Lauderdale, and it was one of the greatest live performances I've ever seen. Bob Seger did a fantastic performance of "Back In 72". It was Great, and I will never forget that concert. 😎

No one around to answer this anyway but...
One of my alltime favorites. So like any good parent I make my kids listen to music from my era. My millennial daughter listened dutifully then said - "so he left in a Caddie doing 120 then stopped for drugs, lit out in a pickup truck then at some stage got back in the Caddie and drove through a thunder shower, yes?" Sort of wrecked it for me because she seems to be right.
