Well done video. No camera wiggle, clear and precise instructions. I just watched a couple of the popular British guy's videos on changing headlights . . . he would have benefited from watching this one before he made his.
Best video EVER! Thanks very much for posting - this job is just as easy as the demonstration - I had a rubber plug covering the access hole, and my replacement happened on the driver's side. Even smiled to myself when I reached for the at-hand needle nose pliers to retrieve the 5 mm socket that got stuck. I paid about $8 for a single bulb with free shipping from Amazon.
Just completed the job, thanks for showing the method. Hint: Don't push on bottom of the lights when putting them back in, the yellow portion is not robust enough to handle a push, make sure to push the outside of the main light when guiding back into the compartment.
I plan on doing this soon, this video is the best by far. Your instructions were clear and you didn’t waste time in the video. Thanks for the tutorial and have a great day!
Great video, saved me heaps of grief! After owning this car for 12 years I’ve never had a bulb fail. Temporarily mislaid my owners manual so reverted to TH-cam and problem solved. Thanks
Great clear video. When clipping it back finally I had to guide the lamp washer jets into the amber surround. It’s pretty flimsy there and could crack as old plastic is often brittle.
Hello there ,my boxter is an S model ,don’t knkw if that has to do with the way the headlight is set up ...it has the main light ,fog light and that one small bulb light intermediate lights? Before turning lights on ..one of those small bulbs burned out ,are those hard to find ? My boxter is a 2001 model pls advise
My Porsche Boxster 2004 didn't come with this tool kit. Where can I buy an alternative to the Porsche tool kit? Every 5mm socket kit I've purchased is too wide to fit the small hole. And I can't find anything that comes close to this kit
very detailed, thanks. what is that pease of glass on the bottom left, where sprayer suppose to be? i have the same lights and wonder if there is a sprayer at all?
Is there anyway to fix the “fried eggs” halogen headlight issue? Im trying to find a way to fix the burns spots but I have no clue if there is a solution, does anyone know how to?
Thank you for the upload. I will be carrying out this task this weekend! is it difficult to line the unit up on the tracks you kindly pointed out when putting it back? Is there a risk I won't be able to do it or does it just require moving it till it fits? Many thanks from Kent, England.
Too bad those H7 50W bulbs run hot enough to partially melt the internal plastic lens. I need to figure out a way to remove the damaged plastic without ruining the overall assembly, as replacements cost a fortune. Very disappointed and will never buy another Boxster.
Very nice video, but you caused me a lot of aggravation because my lights would not work at all. It turns out that you are telling people that the HIGH BEAM IS THE LOW BEAM, and the LOW BEAM is the HIGH BEAM on your video and you are completely wrong on the locations. It took me a couple of days to figure out why my low beam would not light up with my new LED bulbs, I was putting the bulbs in the high beam hole instead of the low beams as per your directions, that`s why I could not get them to work. Videos like this should be taking down as they have a lot of misinformation.
Excellent video. Clear and helpful. No waffle. Thanks

thank YOU ... finally got it done after 3 yrs of being hated by other drivers and using high beams ;0(.. thanks for the detailed instructions!

What a terrific video. And you wee right. It was easy and eliminated my anxiety for trying the job.

Thank you very much! Super easy with your guidance. I have discovered that I don’t have the Porsche tool but the 5mm socket worked. 👍🏻👍🏻❤️
Just replace the low beams on driver side couldn't have done it without your TH-cam video Thanks Rick !!!!!!!!
Nice, concise & easy to follow. Thank you.
Great video. Just changed my bulb per this excellent tutorial! thanks!
Great tutorial, just saved me a trip and $$$.
Is there also a parking light bulb making the total 4 per light.

Checked…there is one additional bulb. Parking light bulb. Sits between the high beam and low beam bulbs.

Nice and detailed video. Thanks for putting it up. Do you know if I can replace them with LED bulbs ?
That's my question too. Did you try it yet? It should work in theory. I'll probably try this next week, as I would like brighter headlights.
Might burn plastic cover
I thought this was a great video, but you don't mention that these are halogen headlights. What about Xenon (HID)?
Might burn plastic cover
Very helpful
great job great video. RayCuba
USA Bulb is H7 (non--HID)
