    "I pass no judgement for younare no different to your forebears" is such lovely phrasing, like such that an angel of extremely gentle disposition towards humanity would tell a conjurer seeking their boons

      That joke about the egg; it is was (until recentlyish) alive in Latin America my grandmother once told me of it. The humor was of the priest (a young priest) thinking he'd laid an egg (or perhaps one of his balls fell off) in part because he isnt wearing bottoms just the "dress" (which is more "feminizing" now esp after pants on women are commknplace... which is perhaps why the priest can be young, the priest is more anxious because he more clearly breaks gender
