I used to deliver the trailers made by InTech. They are lightweight, very nicely set-up, and tow wonderfully. Awesome seeing these in a video like this.
Hopefully you do a towing review with this and the santa cruz. Excited to see it tow something around this weight. The 2000 lb boat review was cool to see, but this is more like it
I really like how you guys review all kinds of things from ATV / UTV, snowmobiles, trailers, trucks, PWCs. Truck King is my favorite channel (dont tell Eric O at South Main Auto that lol). You deserve WAY more subscribers. Thanks for all the great videos.
Great review of a cool product! I'm looking for small camper trailor for my SxS, thanks to you review I'll give Intech serious consideration! I like how you touch in the ruggedness of the suspension and ride high, dont think a 16 footer will go where I would like it to!?! lol Great channel guys, after 40 yrs in Automotive Customer service and aftermarket sales your channel is really helps to keep us up to speed with this ever changing industry. Thank you again for sharing your time and insight with us all!! 👍😎
Interesting trailer, and great review of it! That window on the front is just begging to have rocks and other road debris chip and crack the hell out of it!
The window is made just like an automotive windshield so 1) it should stand up and 2) small chips can be repaired. And InTech offers a protective cover for added protection.
Great review. They seem to have a sweet spot just above the standard laminated travel trailer, but WAY below Airstream pricing. I like the way the propane tanks and batteries are hidden. Very sleek. I wonder if the forward cant improves aerodynamics, or is it just cosmetic. Odd though that it has a combo grey/black tank. I guess the target market isn't boondockers but more towards people who use parks with full hookups.
Where are the electric plugs around the Dinning Table and Kitchen?! I see ONLY one outlet by the tiny bed shelf? It is what I am looking for except those are missing.
Oof, pretty pricey for that size and weight class. But the interior and exterior look good. I'm intrigued that it's light enough for say a Santa Cruz or Maverick to pull it. Still, traditional RV brands in that weight class are considerably cheaper, not sure the styling and few quality perks are worth that substantial bit more.
Please review the overland off road units from Ember RV overland series units and Forest river No boundaries beast mode off grid unplugged max solar units
Very good review!!! Please review Alto trailer for us by Safari condo. Their most popular unit is 17ft model R1723 that goes up and down to fit in to the garage. Also, please review their F2114 model!!!
Thank you for the in-depth review, and for the CDN pricing comment! We were looking at the Airstream Basecamp, but sticker shock has definitely turned our attention towards InTech instead. We want to steer clear of the laminated pressboard, and this is an awesome alternative. Question though- why do you keep referring to it as being 16'? Is that just an error? I thought the Sol Horizon is actually 19 (or maybe even 20)? Really appreciate your video, thank you so very very much!!! 🥰
Love all your videos, can't wait to see you tow that with the Santa Cruz, I'm in a process of looking for one who should I contact at Camping In Style?
I was wondering if this would be possible to pull with a Ford Explorer timberline? 1393lb payload 5300lb towing capacity.Or do you have a contact at intech that could help?
It has a heater and an A/C.... But he made a comment about it being good for 3 seasons, "almost 4"... Maybe I'm missing something, but what season would this not be acceptable for? I'm assuming you mean winter...?
I'm curious if the Ford Maverick could tow one of this comfortably? I don't own a Maverick or a travel trailer for that matter. 😆 But I have been considering buying a Maverick and am curious what it can do. I currently own a 2015 GMC Sierra SLT crew cab 4wd with a 5.3, so I don't worry too much about towing at the moment... Since my truck could handle something like this with ease. But I think I will be downsizing this year.
I’m really wanting this camper. This would be my first camper purchase so consider me a new jack. 😂 Here is where I’m concerned, I’m purchasing the 2023 Honda Passport EX-L, AWD, V6 engine. I’m told the towing capacity is 5000 lbs but I’m just not sure my vehicle will be able to tow this. 🤷🏻♀️ In your opinion, do you think this would be too much for my vehicle to tow? 🤦♀️
You’re not supposed to tow right at capacity, I’ve heard take 20% off your max and that leaves you with 4000 lbs now and that Sol is 4000 plus , do your own research, don’t believe everything these sales people tell you, they’ll say anything to make a sale. I wouldn’t tow that with your passport, you’ll be straining it .
It’s just what I’m looking for. Although I would prefer to have a couch instead of the dinette, and the shower to have one of those screen type door closures like on the Black Series trailers. Don’t like how the bathroom is like a capsule. Oh, the shower head to be on the other side. I just give up!! I don’t know what the hell I want and I found a used one here in Los Angeles but the guy wants $33K for it! I found a used Rover too for $23K but don’t like an outside kitchen and there’s no bathroom 🤦♀️
5:15 [Dishes will not come flying because of the magnetic latch] - Has anyone tested it? Magnetic latches are nowhere as strong as a simple turn latch. Frankly, it would give me a pause.
Yeah, i'm not a fan of the "modern apartment" styling that a lot of these new rv's and trailers use. You are going out in the woods to relax, what's up with the modern designs using stainless steel, fake stone, and white paint all over that would look completely normal in a city apartment. It's not just this brand, it's all of them.
Great finishes but it could fit a dry bath if kitchen sink was not so big. And you'd have a lil food prep space. And if it had a drop down bed over the dinette you'd have more space. Just a thought.
I think it's a shame that that beautiful, huge picture window overlooks your truck! I'd rather the layout be turned around so the big window was overlooking the lake or whatever the view is that you back your camper into!
You didn’t talk about propane tanks and batteries. Also, I could do without the outdoor kitchen (more storage) and substitute a standard two basin sink for the inside “farm sink”.
@@Cell1000bc luckily the place I ordered from, there was only $1k difference between the base model and a fully loaded Rover package! Glad to have the bumper too 🤣 I may or may not have hit a trash can backing into my driveway lol
A note to viewers: the price quoted in the video is USD.
At Camping in Style (www.campinginstyle.com), this particular unit is on sale for $49995 CAD.

That huge window in the front is a killer feature! I LOVE it. IMO, it TOTALLY makes this trailer. 🤟🏼🤟🏼🇺🇸🇺🇸
This could be the best small trailer I've ever seen! I'm sure this thing will hold up over time.
OMG! IVE BEEN LOOKING FOR THIS VIDEO!
I just bought my Santa Cruz Limited edition and I've now found my camper. Thank you, Sir!
Hopefully you do a towing review with this and the santa cruz. Excited to see it tow something around this weight. The 2000 lb boat review was cool to see, but this is more like it
Yes, please, waiting for the Santa Cruz towing review with real trailer weight! Thanks guys.
Yes yes yes please please please!!
how does the santa cruz do towing this rig? I got a santa cruz and thinking about a trailer
Great review. Especially the construction details. Most reviews don't get that detail but its very important.
Glad it was helpful!

That is a fantastic lil’ trailer . Thanks for sharing .

Been looking at these for a long time. Hope to pull the trigger soon.
So jealous lol
Love it I could live in this
The price of small campers seems high across the board. I will say that the quality of this one appears a lot better than others I've seen.
Looking forward to seeing the review video of the Santa Cruz towing this nice trailer.

It is what I am looking for except those are missing.
BUT what the driving impression of the Sant Cruz towing that? Did the trans get to hot?
We couldn't tow it because we only had a four-pin electrical hookup on the Santa Cruz. We'll do it again when they provide us with a seven-pin truck.
Great review! Been looking at these for a while. Does it come with a generator for when you dont have any hookups?
Oof, pretty pricey for that size and weight class. But the interior and exterior look good. I'm intrigued that it's light enough for say a Santa Cruz or Maverick to pull it. Still, traditional RV brands in that weight class are considerably cheaper, not sure the styling and few quality perks are worth that substantial bit more.
Very nice, thats likely a unit that will last longer and in better shape than your average Jayco made of pressed board.
Cool camper, nice job on the overview as always

Casita is built in Rice Tx. A bit pricey, but they hold their value well.

I like these!
With a window like that you better be running mud flaps on the truck! ;) Love the outdoor reviews fellas!
Straight up! There's a cover that snaps on to protect it during travel 👍
It's laminated automotive glass but I agree 100%.
There's no stone guard on the front, so a large mud flap is a must. Even with stone guard, a large mud flap is best.
@@kingstonsean I think the 2021+ models come with the stone guard. the 22's do for sure.

Could you replace the tv with a larger one?
I WANT!!!
inside bathroom height?
I was wondering if this would be possible to pull with a Ford Explorer timberline? 1393lb payload 5300lb towing capacity.Or do you have a contact at intech that could help?
The Explorer should handle this trailer well.
It has a heater and an A/C.... But he made a comment about it being good for 3 seasons, "almost 4"... Maybe I'm missing something, but what season would this not be acceptable for?
I'm assuming you mean winter...?
Yes winter. A 4 season would be an Oliver trailer with it’s two exterior shells and dead air space in between.
I'm curious if the Ford Maverick could tow one of this comfortably?
I don't own a Maverick or a travel trailer for that matter. 😆 But I have been considering buying a Maverick and am curious what it can do.

There is a video of the Maverick towing a trailer on the channel. Have a look
It’s a rolling thermal bridge and prone to huge amounts of condensation on the interior everyday.

That should work. Unless you tow in the mountains- a lot. Remember you will need a trailer brake controller.
Did you pull the trigger? Curious as I’m in your same position…

This unit is 19ft, not 16 ft
Will that front window chip?
It's auto glass - but it also comes with a snap-on cover
Thanks for a succinct review. Just hope the reviewer isn't a Spanish teacher😉
Why did you skip the kitchen sink, coutertop space and fridge? Seems intentional. Maybe the sink is the size of a teacup?
The sink looked hudge.
Is that about as big as you can go with the Santa Cruz?
I’d say yes
The Sol was pretty nice. “Boiling corn”…….that was pretty random. We laughed.
Kinda reminds me of an airstream basecamp
Would a 4 door Wrangler Rubicon tow this unit?
Probably, but not well.
5:15 [Dishes will not come flying because of the magnetic latch] - Has anyone tested it? Magnetic latches are nowhere as strong as a simple turn latch. Frankly, it would give me a pause.
I have this camper, nothing is ever falling out of the cabinets.

I've got one of two kidneys to sell. I guess I can't put the cart before the horse, so I will need to put that money towards the horse.😂

36k, that's a ton of money for RV. I would rather buy used for less than 10k
A Bambi starts at 50 k so this one is a bit less.
You are not buying this used for under 10k, maybe under 30k. This is a gorgeous RV, very high-end not your Honey BooBoo variety.
Sorry but No Hut with exit ventilation over the Stove??? Come on!!! And you want us to pay $49,995? NOT FOR ME!
19' not 16'

50.000 usd?????
$ 50,000.00 you're kidding, WOW!!!!!!!!!
Nice trailer. How many people have dumped their pot over on the stove because of that stupid grate design?
Pronounced Sol like Solar without the ar regardless of whether you are Spanish. SMH!
Thats a lot of money for a 16 ft trailer. Too much actually.
It's 19ft
Haha big widow but sit other way .. bad engineering great looking trailer . Two cooking area Bad
Please learn how to pronounce the name of the product. If you were pronouncing a French word your attempt would be closer.
No bumper?! Small trailers are twitchy to backup. A bumper would be nice for those accidental bumps.
