The best marriages are built on trust and hiding things from one's spouse does not engender trust. Just my $0.02 worth... after 55 years of marriage to 1 very special lady.
It didn't COST you anything. You converted your Casino money (USD) into Silver/Gold.. the most universal, and liquid MONEY that ever existed. if you change your mind, you can always convert it back into fiat money, and provided you don't do that immediately.. you will get more fiat money when you do. Silver and Gold doesn't Inflate..fiat money does.

I talked with a good online friend about ammo stacking and he said that he had 50,000 rounds stacked. I expressed considerable surprise but then he said that he had another friend who had 100,000 rounds stacked. Makes my mere 25,000 rounds seem pretty paltry by comparison. 😕
I like his thinking. I stack Constitutional Silver for much the same reason. If a SHTF moment ever does occur, then people may think twice about taking a generic round or something that they won't recognize. However, most people know what a silver dollar is on some level and its still legal tender. He's got a valid point, there.

What's the best way to make trade sized conversions? And then how to ensure "beads"/etc are authentic or not?

You would have to convert it to fiat or an accepted form of payment if your state doesn't honor silver or gold as legal tender. Then pay in cash or other accepted currency by your state or county. Maybe the seller of the Buffaloes heard him? lol
He doesn't seem like much of a gentleman.
Silver is silver. A stash of Buffalo or any other kind is better than nothing. Learn to test it.
Hope he didnt lie to her about how much he spent because shes going to watch this video. 😂
I’m not a wife, but I’m a woman and other than my nephew collecting a little, I’m the only one I know trying to stack. Right now trying desperately not to sell as I got hit with some big expenses last2 months. My family think I’m nuts.
"My family think I’m nuts." That seems to be the standard response of the unprepared to the prepared.
When, not if, the SHTF, everyone in your family will be expecting a handout from you. Be ready for that.
This was an awesome episode. Really entertaining!
I did that at first when I started stacking. That is keeping from my wife. Then I was explaining a few things to her as to it's a savings account. Then everything was ok. Awesome video
Very good explanation, cause a savings sounds a lot better than buying silver...
@@d-bird5815 I told my wife that I don't "spend" money on PM. I merely convert
soft fiat currency into hard metallic money. It can be converted back again at any time.
One positive thing is once you start a good stack, you can add to it and it isn't that noticeable. Oh yeah I've had those for a while. 😁 Truthfully, my Wife buys more frequently than I do. But, only in smaller transactions.
The major parties to the BRICS traditionally have never been able to get along. It may last for a while but India, Russia and China's boarder disputes will cause them to go separate ways and I see a shift toward stability that moves these countries in other directions. I don't see them coming back to the dollar but I see the USA moving to new methods of payment and trade as well.
Well, it may be way too late for USA. Better to be safe than sorry with gold and silver.
Yankee, I got a message US Mint is going to charge 91.00 for 1oz silver coins July 9th ….
Flexible silver nanowires are going to become ubiquitous in nearly all high-performance circuitry. The demand for silver in the coming decades is going to be off the charts.
It is easier to ask for forgiveness, than to ask for permission.
Well said.
question: when someone asks Tim for example "I'd like to SWAP these silver bars for some gold buffalos", is there any economical convenience in the fact of "swapping" or Tim just basically buys that silver at the same price he would usually buy it and sells that gold at the same price he would usually sell it, just all in one go?
11:37 on the contrary...itwouldn't be surprising if the ride home was 25 hours of silence.
I always tell my wife what I’m doing except for her birthday and I got 500.00 in Silver Dragons / Harry’s coin shop and I was so happy my wife said I was a kid in a candy store and I meet Harry way cool be safe everyone 👍🇺🇸 happy 4Th off July 🎆
90% Silver. Words to my ears. Good job Yankee. Sorry for getting you upset the other day.
So this is where I thank the Good Lord that I have a wife who is awake to this 'real money' concept. Amen and Amen.!!
Tim's fan club reaches long and wide eh, LOL. This fella needs a pouring bench to tidy up his junk. He's on the right path, just needs a bit of tuning eh, LOL. Our/your Tim is honest to a fault, always has been and allways will be. Great post. This fella and his wife drove half a contenint to get there and that says to me I should be treating myself to a trip that far. I am sure we can strike up a conversation or two eh, LOL. Your parcel should be there this week.
begging for forgiveness might be easier than asking for permission ..
Around the 12 minute mark, there are some interesting questions being asked.
It's too bad because i'm pretty sure i know the answer. But it makes me sound 'crazy'.
This video cost me $880…Not the first time you’ve done that. 😌 My wife won’t even ask, but I tell her anyway. She knows I don’t do stupid shit. Can’t imagine having to hide things from my spouse…
@@edb3877 Congrats on 55 years, hopefully many more. A good woman, for that matter, a good man is hard to find, especially these days.
Hey guys,Jim in Alberta.👍
Tell him that's a short drive. I'd have to go 4000 plus miles from where I am. I hate flying!😅
Dude drove 1000’s of miles to spend $1000. 😂 How much gas did he spend for that? He pretended like he wanted advice but he refused to take any. What a waste of time and money. If he wanted something so recognizable and uncounterfitable then why not buy it in Florida and get more silver with the gas money spent. What a clown.😂😂😂
i know a guy who has 10,000 rds of 22lr, reloading components for 10k rds of 9mm and 5000 rds of 223, but it's cause he shoots that much every year.
Rookie #s LOL
I talked with a good online friend about ammo stacking and he said that he had 50,000 rounds stacked. I expressed considerable surprise but
then he said that he had another friend who had 100,000 rounds stacked. Makes my mere 25,000 rounds seem pretty paltry by comparison. 😕
Hobbies are expensive.
My brother is friends with a guy here in Iowa who shoots well over 10,000 9mm rounds/month! He does trick shooting and competition.
Interesting man😂😂😂
I like his thinking. I stack Constitutional Silver for much the same reason. If a SHTF moment ever does occur, then people may think twice about taking a generic round or something that they won't recognize. However, most people know what a silver dollar is on some level and its still legal tender. He's got a valid point, there.
He did a good thing his wife will be grateful in time! My husband didn't understand my concerns about the fiat either, he will be grateful in time LOL
I just Drove 400 miles to Long Beach Ca to see my Son, made my Trip worth It!!! Went All-In & Bought 75+ Ounce’s of Silver Rounds & Vintage Bars + Scottsdale’s Bars!!! 🥈🥈🥈 The Premiums we’re Low in Ca only $2.00 over spot + No sale’s Tax on my Silver straight Cash!!! For Precious Metals. 🏖🍹🏝 You need to do your Research & Call this Local Coin Shops before investing Big!!! Some Coin Shops have ridiculous pricing on Silver + Sale’s Tax not worth the Drive or Investing!!!
@@go4it129 It all depends on the Coin Shop Owner, I have been blessed to meet Awesome Coin Dealers that don’t charge me any Sale’s Tax on my Precious Metals. They just tell me don’t say Anything & they only take cash & it makes the purchasing easy no paper trail. I have gone to couple new coin shops that charge sale tax on precious metals, I just don’t buy rather keep my money & go somewhere else. They key is to buy lowest as possible.
Anytime that you can get the older bars for $2 over is a good (and rare) day. 👍
Yankee you read my mind when you said "I'm nervous" funny and great video.
❤ entertaining enough to rewatch this episode!
Thanks!
That’s why I never explained anything to my ex wife, I just buy stack and that’s it, she didn’t never understood, she was a banker but never understood what I was doing or what real money was, She didint touch my money and I didint touched hers,
In Australia, 1oz spot was up at $48.50. I'd already swapped most of my silver for gold. I got worried that it was finally going to go way up so I borrowed 5k from my mother and dumped it on silver. I still haven't told my wife :/ haha.
I have hundreds of constitutional silver dollars halves and quarters and dimes in both American and Canadian scrap . Hundreds of ounces. Both silver and gold. Been collecting and hoarding both for years...
Does anyone have any cash bills newer than a 2017? Extremely curious as to what people find.
Yes, saw a few $1 and $5 the other day
I liked the way he walked out some of those old timers liked that 90% silver it's what was around when they were younger
We need a tim in the uk
Hi Yankee! long time watcher first time question... what is Tim saying exactly from min 6:00-7:00? Is he saying that the 1,10, 100 etc. face value of constitutional will be considered the 1,10, 100 etc. toz equivalent? I generally consider $1.40 the actual equivalent to 1 toz. based on 90% silver content and weight. can you add some insight?
Thank you!
@@cmoconnell1 I don’t think that’s what he meant. Just that Silver will be revalued against goods and services. I foresee things actually priced in terms of dollar denominations- provided they’re paid with Silver Coins. And as to the silver quarter being only worth $.25, in an SHTF scenario, the education will come quickly!
I've been collecting for the last 3 years and I love your videos! I live in Michigan. I hope soon I can make a visit and see you guys. Always wonderful videos you bring
How do you do the math of constitutional silver?
1963 kennedy silver half dollar ? That would be a trick!!
1964
I think he might still be learning, wait until he opens those bags and sees Kennedy half dollars from 1964 LOL
Maybe he was making reference to the history of the coin? Engravers quickly completed a new design for the fifty-cent coin and President Johnson signed into law a bill authorizing the design in 1963.
I actually have a couple of those super rare 1963 Kennedys, as well as some swamp land in Florida I can sell you.😂
With Silver at the new (untested) support level of $29......I'm experiencing the same same cold shoulder....even though we have a DCA of $24 since 2018....
Hey YS & Tim ... what's the chance the Eagles/etc get manually converted to "pieces of eight"? What are the easiest coins that could be sectioned in half then half then half of that (eighths)? Do a video demonstrating how best to section coins when the time is necessary to do so. $3 cold chisel and a rock? China younger folks are buying gold beads, maybe that is the solution? What's the best way to make trade sized conversions? And then how to ensure "beads"/etc are authentic or not?
The ULTIMATE RARE 1963 Kennedy US Half Dollar............ 6:04
Yeah, I caught that one too. Just bought 10 rolls of BU grade 1964 Kennedy halves on a special sale from SD Bullion.
These are some REALLY nice looking coins, especially the reverse side. Love these coins and the AU or better Morgans.
Great video. Thanks for sharing YS
"A little knowledge is a dangerous thing "
Stacking can be addictive! I am going to stop at 100 ozs. Then it’s 200ozs, etc!😝😝
My wife is on board but have to rid myself of a very small mortgage first. Silver is good but no debt is best paired with PM's.
I'm that customers plumber.I told him all about silver six months ago. I told him to watch what they call me gonna do. His wife will be mad at him for a little bit. But things will be better in about a week.
When he said he wants a thousand dollars, i assumed he was talking face value.....i cant imagine driving that far to spend so little, how much of a premium for the cost of fuel did he spend for that thousand dollars worth of junk silver?.... id say his wife is right for being pissed.... but for better or worse i guess.😅
According to the internet: The total cost of driving from Florida to New Hampshire (one-way) is $196.33 at current gas prices. The round-trip cost would be $392.66 to go from Florida to New Hampshire and back to Florida again.
8:51 he's lucky Tim gives those away for free to new customers. The rest have to pay😂😂😂
“ you’re looking for a nice quiet ride back home and I’m not sure you’re gonna get that!”… 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Yeah a big smile on his face and a scowl on hers all the way back home. 😂
We never came off the petro dollar. This guy is nuts
I hate happens when the opec nations no longer accept the dollar as currency to purchase oil?
Great video Yankee. Love your videos with Tim.
And here I thought the first guy was gonna ask for $100,000 worth of silver and it turned out to be $1000. I got all excited for him a minute and it was just a letdown. I thought he was going to cash out his retirement account. You came all the way from Florida for $1000. It would’ve taken a lot less gas if you just mailed it!
Dude, it's only $1k, that's chump change and the wife is pissed? I never have made a purchase that minuscule.
Not exactly life changing-survival maybe
I’ll be honest, the petrodollar is my reason too. I started late but I’m already in better shape than most.
Yankee, would you discuss the viability of silver rounds vs. silver coins re barter, paying property taxes, etc., in an SHTF situation?
You would have to convert it to fiat or an accepted form of payment if your state doesn't honor silver or gold as legal tender. Then pay in cash or other accepted currency by your state or county. If it's that bad... taxes won't supercede your very survival, as most people don't have PMs. It's something like 1% do.
@@erikjanthes Appreciate your input.
I only have ten dollars face of 90%. Once I received them I realized I really like them. I have otherwise bars and coins from various countries.
Excellent report 👍👍👍👍👍👍
AS others have mentioned, i am sure they are snowbirds, and they were planning on coming back to the north anyways...he's wearing a Mass maritime shirt so he might have roots in Mass. According to the internet, the total cost of driving from Florida to New Hampshire (one-way) is $196.33 at current gas prices. The round-trip cost would be $392.66 to go from Florida to New Hampshire and back to Florida again. I hope they are not driving back to Florida. He could have gotten 40% more silver by buying in Florida and could have gotten a nice lunch at a nice restaurant with the wife...
