    You fixed it! Our Ditch Witch trenchers used a similar lock ring setup on their cylinders. Theirs just had a piece of square stock with a short 90 in it and you would catch it with the hole in the head and rotate. Enjoyed the video!

    Hey a "Toy Tractor". 😆😆 I had same cylinder rebuild a couple of times, then the shop that was doing the rebuild told me that end cap hole was worn egg shaped & wouldn't seal properly. Of course, just my luck they couldn't get a replacement end cap. Nor could I from "Mother DEERE". 🙄 So, now I've got a newer cylinder on the one side. Thanks for the tutorial on the cylinder rebuild. 👍🏻 Take care. 🍻🍻🥃🥃🥃

      If all goes well, I might be able to get some footage of the neighbors toy tractor at work.. maybe.. thank you Ron! Take care!👍😁🥃🥃🍻🇺🇸🇺🇸

    Is the plug in place of the fitting necessary for the rebuild? I'm getting ready to do all 4 cylinders and hoses, and I'm gathering parts. Great video by the way. Very informative.

    • @GosselinFarmsEdGosselin
      @GosselinFarmsEdGosselin  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Honestly, I don't remember if it's actually necessary. I just always plug holes, keeps stuff out and in many cases, keeps from making as much mess.
      Hopefully the video helps, that's the first cylinder of that design I've done. It took me a few minutes to figure out the wire. And second guessing myself, as rust had it stuck together too.
      Thank you!
      Best of luck!!

    Is there a trick to getting that ring out to pull the cylinder apart? I can’t get it to budge

  • @Jocelynn663
    @Jocelynn663 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I'm looking for the part where you remove the Wire. Once you lift the end of the wire out of the slot do you twist the end where the hose connects clockwise to feed the wire out of the slot. I'm pretty sure that's the only solution. Thanks for the video.

    • @GosselinFarmsEdGosselin
      @GosselinFarmsEdGosselin  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I guess I didn't show that, sorry.
      It took me a few minutes to figure it out, but yes, rotate the end, I don't know which way, whichever way helps the wire come out.. reverse procedure going back together.. it does matter direct going back together, as the end has to line up with the hose.. I honestly went the wrong way the first time.. oops, rolled it back out and went the other way.

      @Jocelynn663 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Shouldn't turn hard, they do get pretty rusty, I stuffed a rag up in the cylinder and used a wire wheel to clean up the rust. A good layer of petroleum jelly will help protect the new O when you put it back together.
