    Great tip leaving the injectors loose, to blow out dust / dirt before tightening 👍

    Great videos on the 584 with that said I’m rebuilding a 584 currently. I’m looking for some advice to my number 4 cylinder. I have done a in frame rebuild and head job. After installing head I did a static water test on motor with 15 psi. The #4 cylinder sleeve was leaking water around the sleeve. I drained the water removed head, piston & sleeve. The o ring wasn’t pinched or rolled. I double checked o ring groove and ordered new o ring. I reinstalled the sleeve, piston and head. Did another water test and still water around bottom of sleeve. There isn’t any cracks in block and o ring is in proper. I’m looking for any ideas or your thoughts please help thanks.

      @CanadianRedneck15  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That is perplexing, I haven't run into that before. Is there any scratches on the sleeve? The only thing that comes to mind is some silicone around the bottom of the sleeve to seal it to the o-ring. Thanks for watching!

    Thank you for sharing some GR8 content. I have a 584 that is leaking from the front main seal. It doesn't look too complicated to change, but I know looking ant doing. Is there anything I should know before I take it apart?

    • @CanadianRedneck15
      @CanadianRedneck15  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The front seal should be pretty straight forward, the fiddley part is the front pulley because of the taper lock but not really difficult. Thanks for watching!

      The head was cleaned in the dip tank at the local engine shop before being planed and the valves ground.

    Hi! A guy from Latvia here. I have a HYDRO 84 that has the same engine as the one in the video but the gearbox is hydrostatic. Although the engine works just fine the power output is less than half of what it should be. Do you have any experience repairing hydrostatic gearboxes?

    • @CanadianRedneck15
      @CanadianRedneck15  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Welcome from Canada! I am sorry, I have no experience with a hydro transmission. The hydro 84 would have a D239 engine, next size up from this D206 but the tractor is rated at about the same HP because of the power loss caused by the hydro system.

    Do the injectors have copper washer seal to the bottom?

    • @CanadianRedneck15
      @CanadianRedneck15  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      As far as I can remember no, there is a brass sleeve in the head that the injectors slide into and they seal against it. To be certain check a manual.
      Thanks for watching!

    Is these sleve engines reliable? Im concerned about the block and the minor block material between the sleeves and block maybe should be inspected with liquid penetrant inspection. I beleave prooper coolant is important for these engines to avoid corrosion in between sleeves.

    • @CanadianRedneck15
      @CanadianRedneck15  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The blocks don't tend to be a problem. Most all heavy diesel engines are sleeved (highway trucks etc). It is important to use diesel engine coolant to avoid pitting on the outside of the sleeves. Thanks for watching!

    Hi CR,thanks for the effort you put in to make these videos.
    I ve got a question for you ,if i can.
    How tight the head studs should be?

    • @CanadianRedneck15
      @CanadianRedneck15  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I thought I mentioned in the video, maybe I missed that. There are different bolt or stud possibilities, but these ones were to be 110 ft/lbs in three steps.
      Thanks for watching!

    May I know how to install the Bosch fuel pump on the International 785 . tractor?

    • @CanadianRedneck15
      @CanadianRedneck15  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Installing the pump is not too difficult, I would show it in this series, timing the pump is a little more technical, it would be best to get a manual to show you the details of that. Thanks for watching!

      I know how to install the pump on the international tractor, but I do not know which pump works better, because there is no original pump in Iraq. Thank you for your help.

    • @CanadianRedneck15
      @CanadianRedneck15  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Bosch pump would be the preferred pump to go with.
