The word "Scenic" doesn't even begin to describe this drive. Outstanding video, Phil. I'll be watching it again on the big screen (smart TV) a little later tonight!
I'm just a little miffed about the way that TH-cam compression kind of blurs the details in my videos (especially trees). I don't know how others manage to get their TH-cam videos looking so sharp. Thanks for watching!
@@TransCanadaPhil What works for me is to export my videos in a format that's already pre-encoded for TH-cam, so the TH-cam servers don't do much processing/encoding at their end. For Adobe Premiere Pro (which is the software I use), the preset would be 'H.264 - TH-cam 2160p 4K', there may be an equivalent setting for other software also. Hope this helps a bit! 😊
@@TransCanadaPhil Over the years, I've noticed that, for me anyway, it tends to happen in areas of high contrast with a lot of movement, such as driving thru a forest on a sunny afternoon. I even anticipated that happening during the edit of one of last years' vids (apologized for it in advance during the edit). Sure enough, it DID happen! 😆
Thanks for being back. I enjoyed the drive southwards. Loved the view of the lake and the mountains. Thank you for uploading this file. Greets from the Netherlands.
Thanks! I've definitely going to have to spend some more time in Squamish, Whistler and the other towns/cities along the Sea to Sky the next time I'm in the Vancouver area. I want to travel further past Whistler next time.
Great to have you back mate! Fantastic drive, the Sea to Sky has to be one of the most scenic highways in the world. Crazy to think this area is only a daytrip away for Vancouverites!
Nice to see another upload from you! It's been a while since I've driven down the Sea to Sky, but once the sun's out and prices lower then I might do it soon. Traffic like there is in your video is a top reason why I prefer heading up to Whistler during weekdays. Great stuff!
I am watching your videos since 2015, I like the Alberta series... especially Banff National Park. If you upload new series for Banff I will see. Great day! Love from Australia...

@@GreatAussieDrives yes there is a "export to youtube" option in Final Cut Pro X, but still, I still find that it looks a bit too soft.

Great to have you back Phil. Awesome video as always. Thanks ❤️❤️❤️👍👍👍🇨🇦😃
A beautiful scenic road and a famous tourist spot. Long time no see.
Excellent video as always.
Thanks Kyle!

Thanks for watching. Yeah it's a lot less "gloomy" than my northbound video. They were both recorded the same day about 7 hours apart.
Hello welcome back!
Nice video
Always making good videos and congratulations on your new car
thanks! I'm lucky that it's good on gas in these days of high gas prices.
Hello we are from the wbj channel and we are subscribing to help your channel, keep up the good work
Welcome back Phil!🙏
thank you!
Wonderful drive. Definitely bucket list material. Glad you’re back!

yes and a very popular daytrip. That huge backlog of cars were all headed up to Whistler for skiing pretty much.
@@TransCanadaPhil Did have out of date for your channel same as Asphalt Planet?

I'll be headed back that way this summer.
Thank you for this lovely video. Been on these beautiful roads myself a few times. I must ask, what is the 2nd language often shown on the signs?
That is the Squamish language. The language of the original First Nations people that traditionally live in that area.
@@TransCanadaPhil What about the Squamish language?
Yay! Another Trans Canada Phil video! Good to see you back.
Thanks for coming around :-D
Such an awesome drive! That Northbound traffic in the video was insane! I guess that traffic is normal for long-weekend/summer?
yes this was taken in late May and the highway is normally packed because of all the people headed up to Whistler
Cool video
Thanks for stopping in to see my road trips
Your welcome
Hey, was wondering if you have any playlists on Spotify. I’m about to take a long trip and really enjoy your choice of music.
Never mind just found you on spotify. Thank you. This trip is going to be so much better with some good edm.

damn, progressive house music is pretty good for these type of videos.
That's kind of been my style mostly in the last year or two. Thanks for watching!
