That toad was pretty lucky that your largemouth bass bonnie and clyde and outlaw the bluegill and other fish in your pond did not catch it but they will eventually I love hearing the frogs chirp spring peepers are my favorite
That tree may be too old, but it MIGHT turn into multiple trees. There is an oak that fell on my parents property during Katrina. Still alive in 2021. But its main branches that pointed upwards, have turned into full blown trees. It grows wild and natural on the edge of a small deer field. Like said "mother nature finds a way to survive!!"
I used to have a frog lure that was guaranteed to get a strike from any bass in the vicinity. Gentle twitches on the rod tip would make it kick. A big un broke my line and it was never seen again. I tried to find a replacement, but the newer ones just didn’t have the same fluidity of movement.

I wouldn’t cut down the big oak tree, you can incorporate it into the pond! Like have some dead branches in the pond for fish protection

Use excavation from the pond to fill in the hole and cover the oak roots. Make an oak island in the pond
