"...it don´t get much dumber, it don`t get much dumber...than tryin' to forget a girl when you love her" - it simply confounds me, when people in their 20's decipher things - that took me almost a lifetime to figure out...
This is why these guys aren’t just artists, they’re poets. They not only concoct these amazing choreographies, they come up with the EXACT thing the song needs (and gets, lol)-flying forever impossibly with I Won’t Let You Down, changing perspectives in The Writing’s on the Wall, and driving fast and smacking things repeatedly with this one. 😂 Seriously though. So satisfying. 🤣🤣

@ConfusionFusion The guitars were all factory rejects which would not have been sold either. There's a great video of the making of this here th-cam.com/video/qae4gAbXOZ8/w-d-xo.html in 5 parts.
"Is a car an instrument?"
"No Patrick, a car is not an instrument."
"Is a car an intrument?"
Ok go: *huddles for a minute*
Ok go: yes, producer. A car is an intrument
@@AriTheMothQueen 🤣
@@reddonut1518 yes? You have my attention.
@@AriTheMothQueen I was just saying it was funny. Maybe you can't see emojis on your phone
@@reddonut1518 oh. Yeah. Sorry. This is a tablet
This has to be one of the greatest videos to exist on TH-cam
And I’m finding out about it just now
I've seen this video so many times...
same
Not me
I've shown this to so many people it's not even funny anymore I just want my friends to enjoy this as much as I do
Me too
I feel like I'm here everyday.
I just realised I like most of ok go's music video version than the album version
right? For some reason my sisters had this version on the computer and I had only heard this version until later haha
Me toooooo
The only song that is measured in miles per hour as opposed to beats per minute.
Lol
wow I never knew that
rock
rockerseven ever seen the movie baby driver
A combination of comedic genius and musicality... The essence of free expression, as it should be!
I can't tell if their videos are low-budget or extremely high-budget
Extremely high, probably :p
i would say high considering the amount of labor and pianos that went into it.
Olivia its not a big budget but its good
you know its really quite cheap to line 2 miles of road with instruments and tubes and everything. who r u kidding like every this band lives for music vids, theres no way they will spend anything less than a fortune on these masterpeices.
xD I love Scott's response
This band is the *king* of creative thinking music.
The best of quarentine is to "rediscover" Ok Go videos... Can't stop 🎵💚😊
It's like a freight train?
2022 and Spotify just told me OK GO was my most played band of the year. Love this band
the only car in the world that has played the piano and guitar
This is creativity in its purest form
100% convinced that Ok Go has the best music videos compared to any other music videos. Ever.
How does this not have a billion views yet? It deserves that for the lyrics alone.
"Been hoping for months, hoping for years, hoping I might forget. It don't get much dumber, it don't get much dumber. Then trying to forget a girl when you love her" is a devastatingly simple and perfect line.
Beautiful idea
Beautiful video
Beautiful music
Beautiful lyrics
You forgot..
Beautiful, just Beautful😆
😎😎👍👍😊😊
"This is your insurance company how can i help?"
"Yeah hi, am i covered for hitting 100 pianos and 100 guitars? Asking for a friend..."
More
This plays rent free in my head at least once a year.
still rippin
This video deserves far more attention. Like fuck dude , if I could I would. This shit is beyond amazing and you can’t help but feel it in your gut. It FEELS authentic. Doesn’t matter how it was edited or if it was edited because the entire vision came through and I appreciate that. It feels right. Periodt.
periodt. 💅✨
Wow the wiggles really changed their style from when I was a kid
Lmao
Wiggles?
The Wiggles are a kids music group, that is also a tv show (or was when I was a young kid). There are four members, and each member had a specific color: yellow, blue, red, and purple.
Toot toot, chugga chugga.
This is a masterpiece. Every one of their videos is art. I am always amazed and they are truly great artists
How could 6,000 people give this video a thumbs down??? That's just insane! This video is beyond incredible!!
because the music isn't as good as the video
I discovered this song 12 years after if was posted.... exactly when I needed to hear it 😢
Amazing how I’ve come in a circle from seeing this ~2013 to seeing it for the second time 7 years later and being equally awed by it
whoa, am i the only one that's baffled by this. My eye's are so huge right now and throughout the video my jaw dropped about 6 stories. I literally just experienced real life magic. I can't believe this.
Not the only one.
most of their music videos are this insane
right?!
That driving reverse harmony at 2:59. That is great emphasis and climax for this song
I remember seeing this when they debuted it for the 2012 Super Bowl. Still one of the best commercials/music videos ever (or at least one of my favorites).
I've been waiting for months, waiting for years, waiting for you to change.
Aw, but there ain't much that's dumber, there ain't much that's dumber
than pinning your hopes on a change in another.
And I, yeah I still need you, but what good's that gonna do?
Needing is one thing, and getting gettings another.
So I been sitting around, wasting my time,
wondering what you been doing.
Aw, and it ain't real forgiving, it ain't real forgiving
sitting here picturing someone else living.
And I, yeah I still need you, but what good's that gonna do?
Needing is one thing, and getting gettings another.
I've been hoping for months, hoping for years, hoping I might forget.
Aw, but it don't get much dumber, it don't get much dumber
than trying to forget a girl when you love her.
And I, yeah I still need you, but what good's that gonna do?
Needing is one thing, and getting gettings another.
When? When? Why not now? Why not me? Why not me?
DarKneSs I read this at the exact right time it happened
THANK YOU
THANK YOU
"...it don´t get much dumber, it don`t get much dumber...than tryin' to forget a girl when you love her" - it simply confounds me, when people in their 20's decipher things - that took me almost a lifetime to figure out...
Every time I witness this band's quality, creativity, and commitment it makes me weep.
i cant be the only person obsessed with the way the pianos sound..... the string barrels too for that matter ...specially at 1:46..oh and the pianos start at 00:48 exactly
2023 and this is STILL a masterpiece of work. I dreamed of something like this and this is better than dreaming.
"So what do you play?"
"I drive"
"..."
Driving is what I do
*Kavinski - Nightcall intensifies*
I think this is the most genius music video I've ever seen!
love everything this video has to offer... the singing, the feeling the heart... man... it's so good...
w0w all the effort they you put in it .. every single little sound kool video ...
Yeah this doesn't get old
they are like a more hard core wiggles

+thumpervan holy shit, that's super accurate

Crazy that for years and years this version not only overwhelmingly impressed me but made me crazy emotional. Now that I'm in love and my heartache it means so so much more. Thank you Ok GO for always making music that speaks to the soul, especially a creative one.
This is f*cking nuts, in a totally amazing way. What a bunch of insane geniuses these guys are.
Still, probably, the best ok go video they've done. I can't imagine what it took to build this set and the amount of takes to get the timing right.
I feel like this version of the song is just... way better than the studio version somehow, the singing sounds fraught and earnest, and the music is so thumpy and perfectly imperfect.
1:03 this part mixed with the pianos is absolutely astonishing
YES.
But then later the ELECTRIC GUITAR part WOAH 🏆
