I have this bike and love it. I added Midwest Engineering clutch lever it made a difference and an RK Tek head for std compression and that gave the bike a boost from idle to 1/2 throttle. The speedo cable needed re-routed away from the plastic bracket to get it to stop going goofy. And as you said tank goes on reserve at 32 miles with about 20 more miles of fuel left.
I’m happy right now with my new-to-me 2015 KTM 200. What an amazing bike. Turning radius is tighter than the Beta, suspension is better, and the Brembo brakes are FAR superior. Not trying to talk anyone out of buying the Beta, but if you can fight an used 2015-2016 KTM 200 in good condition, go for it.
Beta is awesome..I bought the 200rr re,but they put the Sachs fork on for me and revalved and sprung for my weight..I've never seen customer service like beta..they bend over backward, and they certainly don't need too..integrity
Jimmy great review, surprised you didn't comment on the limited turning radius ? Had to have dealer modify mine for tight Northeast single track 2020 BETA 200 RR 🏁
Great review, Jimmy. If I had unlimited funds to buy a new bike, the Beta 200RR would probably be the one. Does it feel smaller and shorter than your KTM 200? Also love the reference to find the bike specs (subtle knock on other testers).
I have the 300rr. And the front forks are beyond horrible and down right scary in 4th, 5th, or 6th. Scary, terrifying scary…. I talked to Beta about the loss of damping at speed, to see if they could help out about. They told me to kick rocks.
Joel, I'll answer this and have a few questions for you on Tech Talk Taco Tuesday #107 tonight... Why is it "speed" or "gears" that are causing the issue? No problems in 1-3? The forks don't know the speed, nor do they care. So at speed they become too soft? Did you try any adjusting and if so, what? I also have an interesting theory, but you'll have to tune in for that!
Really want to buy one of these. Every review video just instigates that feeling lol. Very tempted to sell off my ol trusty 04 200exc. And my 85 lt250r to afford one… maybe some day soon. Closing in on 40. Kinda over kicking everything lol. Would be real nice to have electric start for the first time ever in my 25yrs as a rider.
Jimmy, It's good to hear that at your age you are not having any trouble getting it stiff.
Are we talking suspension or my power valve spring?

Bought one in April, absolutely love it.
The Beta 200RR is awesome! Definitely my favorite of the Beta 2-Strokes.

Jimmy! I just put in an order for the 2022 Beta 200. Then I stumbled upon your video. Makes me feel good about my decision. Nice video
Thanks Jimmy, I am thinking of changing my 300Xtrainer over to one of these for the better suspension. Great review
You won't regret it, it's a very good and fun bike

Thanks! Now I want that thing more than any other bikes!
Great review and definitely agree with you! So far I'm loving my 200RR!

Good review. Good to find out that it can be set it up for casual trail riding with that button and adjusting the fork and shock.
My favorite bike at the demo they did in 2019. Really want to try a 150 now. I know, never happy. Need ALL the bikes 🤣
I have 300 race edition and 250rr. Is true about the exoust pipe. Love my bikes
Another issue is too tall.
Awesome bike. I bought the 300 rr 2021. What a nice bike. 👍
I pick mine up next week. Thanks for the review 🏁

Great detailed review, thx
How would this bike compare to a 2023 YX250FX?
Great review Jimmy!
So stuck between the 200 race edition and the 250 race edition 😩
Is the power band a violent hit like motocross two strokes or is it somewhat rider friendly?
Rider friendly.
hi i would like to buy beta 200 because of my height. now I have ktm Exc 300 2019. will I not regret it? I will be grateful for your response.
