Superb band and criminally underrated ! how can anthrax be part of the big 4 and these guys are not even on the charts. MIke is such a great singer and a real loss , met him a few times was always lovely. the whole band are great and the addition of stet on drums was a dream come true. legendary!
Back in the day (early 90's), I was a huge fan of these guys. Then Howe was gone....along with a little piece of my soul. So, SO glad he's back!!!! And, FINALLY, after nearly 30 years of listening to them, I got to meet them last year. Great bunch of dudes!
Mike Howe is A Great Singer but When Metal Church first came out in the 80s David Wayne was a true vocal genius... So sorry he was taken from us so early in his carreer. Just Listen to there first Album Metal Church or some songs from it and you will hear what I mean.

Read an interview with their singer recently. I’m a child of the 80s and have to confess that while I’ve heard of Metal Church, I’d never heard their music. This is great...and I’m glad he’s back in the band. Great story, great guy...great band.
Agreed! But is there any word on Kurt Arrington? Or the original guitarist and bassist that recorded onto the 1st album; titled 'Metal Church'? It's got 'Gods of Wrath' and Metal Churches version of "Highway Star!" That album is legendary and Epic!!!!!! In 1985 I played that tape constantly. I was 19.

Mike sounded so good and when you compare him to some of his peers from that era he sounds AMAZING. I loved Metal Church in my youth and The Human Factor is still one of my favorite thrash albums. In Mourning gave me chills considering the subject matter. :(

I was fortunate to have seen him live 2 times in one year back in 2016 when I lived in milwaukee wi when they were touring the new album. 1st time was at a dive bar called the metal grill in southside. Great venue and show. 2nd time was downtown milwaukee at the panther arena when they were touring with megadeth. Both amazing shows with great theatrical showmanship and power.

I listened to Fake Healer, Anthem to the Estranged, Badlands and Watch the Chikdren Pray every day my senior year all wrestling season.
