Bush deserves to be in the conversation when talking about great bands from the grunge era. They have a couple of hits and I’m sure they’re well off, but they don’t get the recognition they deserve from the general grunge community. Why is that? Because they came up after Nirvana went down?

Also, always thought this was their best song. Cool to see they thought so too (I’m assume, since they picked it for their first TV appearance). They did pretty good, all things considered. Great late night debut.

Technically, this was their lead single and about 3 months after Sixteen Stone’s release.
I do agree it is one of the songs off the album, but this was all they could play at this point because they were trying to keep the momentum building.
“Little Things” came out a month or so later, followed by “Comedown” - “Glycerine” - and “Machinehead” in 1996

Yes because he was rising to fame at this point. He openly admitted record labels viewed his voice as a weakness early on. This is very early days of the bands fame. He also openly admits he would get nervous and couldn’t even look at the crowd before the show most of the times. He’s nervous and probably also felt performance anxiety

I don't recall Smells Like Teen Spirit having slide guitar in it... 🤔 I'd have loved to hear Kurt try to play slide. Motherfucker could barely string four chords together in time. 🤣
Do you Nirvana hipsters ever give up? I mean... Kurt's been dead for almost 30 years, man. Nirvana was probably the least technically talented bands to come out of Seattle or out of the entire 90's decade. I mean... The drummer was actually the only truly talented guitar player and vocalist of them all...and he didn't even do that shit in that band, and he's even said he's the one of the most basic drummers of all time.
