Medaglia D'Oro reminded me of Cigar. He always ran the same race, more often than not, it meant victory, he was very consistent, but could be beaten with a great effort. He could only run so fast.

Watching Medagla d'Oro, it's easy to see where Rachel Alexandra get's that front running speed from.
