i was never a big fan of bernardini for soooo long...then i went to lexington and actually got to meet him and he is the biggest sweetheart i've ever met. this horse is so polite and gorgeous, so i can really appreciate his races better now. =] thanks for the post!

my all-time favorite call of Durkin's..."He didn't break a sweat and it's 90 degrees! Bernardini runs HUGE."
My Pleasure. Thanks for all these wonderful videos :)

Ministers Bid was out of our home bred mare Princess Pietrina!! What a beast this horse was. Sad he only had 7 races before it was retired.
It really was a gross day. Constant threat of rain and soooooooo humid. He made it worth it in his brilliance, though.
What a GREAT horse. I agree, he was retired WAYYY too soon
anyone else notice how all of them seem to be beating the horses when going into the last stretch? only bernardini runs like a maniac on his own
Its a shame we never saw Barbaro vs. Bernardini...
@cf1970 I agree completely.
i agree. if you watch the analysis he lost more then 2 lengths to invasor.. so he may have won it had he had a better trip
he didnt break a sweat n its 90 degrees..!lol
