Solo Bushcraft Overnight - Swedish Axe, Canvas Lavvu, Wool Blanket

- Join me on a solo overnight bushcraft camp in a canvas lavvu tent with a wool blanket. I spend the night alone in the woods, with no talking. Using my swedish axe to chop wood, I get a fire going and bake cheese over the fire in my billy can. I relax by the canvas tent and listen to the sounds of the forest. A relaxing, calming solo bushcraft camp.

Got the flu at the moment, no voice - hence the no talking. Heading back out for a 3 day trip now, mixture of forest and coast. Videos out soon, thanks for watching - Mike
i hope that you get better soon thanks for the content
Prayers are with you brother!
i have question was yr canvas tent home made or did u buy the tent if you made the tent do you have a video i can watch n learn from
This is the ASMR i enjoy
Thought you looked a bit under the weather, Mike. Gosh, sure hope you start to feel better soon. The flu is not a nice thing to have.
Not picked up courage enough to go wild camping but thanks to you I have now built my very own bush shelter with open fire, log store etc in my garden. I can't wait to spend my first night out there.
No talking, no music, no trick camera shots - Awesome job, Mike! You definitely know the meaning of: Less is more!
Just want to give a great big thank you for creating this content. _A lot_ of the other bushcraft channels don't seem to understand the concept of Filming angles and Audio control.
I agree but maybe some people just want to enjoy there time in the woods instead of paying so much time and effort with angles. This video is really good
Agree, smashing angles, great sound,
Hard work shines through,
Check out joe robinet his content is similar and often does long hauls
@@bradleykerry7652 I have...
bradley kerry Joe does some great videos but the audio is usually terrible. Mike's vids are shorter but the A/V quality is much higher.
The most simple meals cooked over a fire, are the most rewarding.
It's kinda like manly asmr with camping sounds. Love it
I am really enjoying your channel Mike, I have to admit that the Bushcrafting videos are my favorites but I also enjoy your other content as well.
You have grown your channel so fast, nearing 700,000 at this point, that is not an easy thing to do, like I said I enjoy your content and you seem like a man of high character, it would be so cool to spend a weekend camping with you and David eating and drinking like a king at the camp.
To your continued success.
Bob
Finally back to the good original content.
I like the style of no talking. It catches the essence of being alone and immersing in your environment even for just a moment.
I've been watching camping videos lately due to the quarantine and this video of yours is one of my favorites! Keep it up.
Hi Mike, that's a cracking idea for holding the center up not having that center post surprising how much more room. Cracking video as always cheers Gaz
Hi Mike,
I really don’t get the negative comments and the questions about dry leaves and fire risks. He’s got it under control people, don’t worry. Keep up the good vids Mike.
In this case it was fine, but really, it's not worth the risk is it?
I really love your videos. They take me back many years to when I spent many hours almost every day in the woods. It was our "get out of mom's hair" activity.
Genious. Not a word spoken.
Sir, because of your videos I have started camping again for the first time in 20 years
You really do create marvellous films.
I'm sorry that you weren't feeling well, but of all of your videos, this one is my absolute favorite, and I often find myself revisiting it. The no-talking format is wonderful; "peacefully educational" is perhaps the best way to define this video. I have learned much from it even without the narrative. Please do more like this... I love it!!!
Really enjoy this video. To the point. Have fun. Just nature. Camping, cooking.Great.
Hi Mike, stumbled upon your videos one hungover Sunday and just needed something easy going. Like your vids mate and inspired me to get back out there again, can't beat it. I think your Dad's top too. All the best Jim.
You've inspired me to want to start accruing gear and doing this myself.
I already do normal camping (usually at a campsite and just hike from there!) but that's nothing compared to this.
Solo, peaceful, efficient, minimal gear, a fire, some food, tea, and a great night's sleep in the forest.
I'm sold.
I’d rather watch videos like this than regular TV any day. So relaxing and organic. It must take a lot of effort setting up the camera shots etc but I think I speak on behalf of a lot of people when I say it’s worth it and thank you!
Aw...Dear Mike...thank you for a great vid...learning by watching you...wow no commentary...hope you are well and it's always always good to hear your voice...though you are very good at expressing your teaching through the lens...thank you again...you are a very good man...
U.S.A here. Love the videos man, keep up the good work.
Great video Mike. Hope you get well soon and start feeling better.
Another great video brother. Sorry to hear you have the flu. Get feeling better. Looking forward to the next one!
awesome place , no more dodgey neighbours good luck buddy stay at peace and the outside is the best ,
Great video, I could almost smell the Danish coast.
Все такое новое.. непокоцаное... Видать, первый раз в лесу пацанчик, и сразу снимать свои достижения :) Молодец, подготовился, даже ситечко с собой взял :)
I enjoy the forest scenery
Those leaves must be pretty wet to feel it's ok to have a fire that close by. Good video overall. Shows some serious comfort in this style of camping
Yep they were soaked, I would have done a completely different fire setup if the ground was dry. Glad you like the vid
Mike your great, keep up , fun watching, learning
Thoroughly enjoyable upload.
I like the fact you still use the knife you made with alec, I really want to make my own knife too.
OUTSTANDING!!!! Loved the quietness....makes me want to go out for my own hike now! Well done!!!!!!
Awesome solo production value.
Another awesome video Mike, thanks for sharing......... :)

Seeing is the key to understanding how things are done. Excellent editing and story flow. Thanks Mike.
A big thank you for all the good vibes and great work mate. Cheers from scandinavia
While I watch all your videos, this type made me a big fan. Thank you for sharing Mike
I love videos like this. You really get a sense of being there out in the peaceful solitude of the woodland. Like this guy, I really enjoy bushcraft as well, although my Bushcraft channel isn’t as big as this one, but I do enjoy making videos of my times out as well. They keep a record of the memory. I like the look of the location where this guy is. It looks a pristine woodland. This video captures the ambience of this place. Really nice.
This is the kind of video I look forward to. Overnighters!!
Great!! Not much more to say. Looks like you had fun Mike. Thanks for posting.
And suddenly it was a good day, courtesy of TA Outdoors
Love it! I always feel so peaceful after watching your videos!!
I like your simple classic style without modern bags, tent, sleeping bag etc. Only modern tools
Hello from cold Russia

wawoo so peaceful . i am a fashion designer in NY but this is the way how I like to live rest of my life !
Thanks for presenting my most favourite type of bushcraft video. Thanks Brian 78
Your videos always manage to impart within me a serene feeling of peace. Love the woods where you are man.
I have this playing in the background while I'm stuck indoors studying
love this video, being at one with nature listening to the sounds around you. just brilliant thankyou for taking the time to show us.
Great as always. Amazing production quality, so minimal and peaceful.
Siempre alucino con lo fácil que se clavan las piquetas en los vídeos...aquí el suelo es tan duro que incluso se doblan las de metal!!!
Bonito video... saludos!!!
Honestly probably one of your best videos in my opinion it's so peaceful 👌
this is a very beautiful place!
Quick trip... good stuff! Meat on a stick! Bravo!
Thanks for a relaxing video..
Another good video get well soon
Keep doing what you are doing Mike, so enjoyable...Cheers.
First time I've watched Sausages being cooked and found it meditative!.. 😂.. Something really calming about this vid Mike, brilliant one! Somehow you're still informative even when you're not talking! 👍
I kind of like this new style of letting nature do the talking. We're all quite familiar with your equipments and bushcraft routines so sometimes it feels not bad just to sit back and enjoy the essence of the woods. Great video.(though what really confuses me is the "help translate this video" on the upper right corner LOL)
One of my fav channel. Others include Joe Robinet, Log Shige, my self reliance etc.
So peaceful
Epic trip!! Nature sure does sound beautiful 🇨🇦
Well done,loved this😁👍👍👏👏👏
Love your video!! It was real! I like how you didn’t feel the need to have a narrative on going. After all the reason your out there is to hear the sounds of the great outdoors and not to bring the sound of the city there to ruin the peace and tranquility , well done!
Mannn I enjoyed your video ! Simplicity in your operation is phenomenal !!!!
Thank you
That was a great video. liked the shelter set up too.
Another brill video mike🤞

Just relaxing to watch. Keep it Up
Excellent movie!

First time I've viewed Sausages cooking as a meditative process!😂... Brilliant vid Mike! Very calming and chilled, somehow ur content is still really informative despite not speaking once! 👍
Quality video again mate. Looking forward to the next one!!
Great video as always!!
