Yes! When we announced our pregnancy, my mom's words: "I knew it! I knew it! I knew it! I will be GiGi!" My dad got stuck with the first syllables his nephews uttered: 'Pampi.'
We literally buried my pawpaw in a new set of striped overalls, he was 98, kept coon dogs, loved to fish, grow tomatoes and okra, and had amazing “olden days” stories. Overall pawpaws rule!
We buried my dad in a set of striped overalls. Mom hated the striped ones but he loved them. The overalls are all that he wore. The stripes were “Sunday go to meetings” ones. That’s all my kids ever seen him in.
As a Pops for 8 years now, I absolutely felt that one. I claimed that one for myself shortly before my first granddaughter was born, and my wife was tapped as Honey.
My grandpa was Pap from the moment I could utter the word, and he was the greatest. He was a big kid. Loved to take me to the park (and ride on those spinny disks they had back in the day), he'd walk me to the local corner store to get candy (though everyone knew I was just his excuse to fuel his own twizzler addiction lol), and when our family would go to the mall he'd never say no when I'd drag him off to those quarter rides, like the ponies and cars and stuff. I miss him so much.
We were on holidays in the UK, pre-covid and in the park near where we stayed they had two of them. One at ground level that was wheelchair accessible and was slow and another that was up about 6 to 8 inches and spun really well. My daughter being a Tiger Mom thought that it was the playground of death. LOL
I loved this! What he described sounds like the best kind of grandfather! Also, Liz is the perfect Edna E Mode! We need her for a live-action "The Incredibles"!
I never knew my grandfathers. Both passed in the 50s. I did have a great uncle who would take me to his bookie's when I was a baby. Evidently all those old guys spoiled me. When he passed I was still a toddler. At the wake, I must have thought he was asleep because I tried to crawl into the casket and snuggle with him.
Our grandson calls my hubby “Ampa” and I’m“Ama”! The little guy couldn’t pronounce “gr” and these seem to be sticking! Love the skit, laughed so hard! Thanks!
TH-cam tends to reccomend content based on what sells the most and what you have watched previusly rather than what is good otherwise trending would be full of good contend instead of gay rap videos.
I just found this channel recently and I totally agree with you, these people are very funny and need more exposure. God bless you all and please keep making your funny content.
I recently lost my grandfather, and this brought back a lot of very fond memories for me. We did. A lot of puzzles together, and watching this kind of feels like he's reaching out to me.
By the time my kid came around my dad had had years of practice with her older cousins. He let them pick out his name individually. The oldest called him T-pa. The rest, including my LO call him Grampa. He loves the names that were bestowed on him.
i called my grandpa Nana (a cultural name for maternal grandfather) even though he didn't even live in the same country as us, i still loved him a lot. he taught my how to ride a bike properly and gave me and my cousins fun nicknames. i hope hes doing better where he is now
We just found out that we’re about to be grandparents for the first time. This video was so sweet that it made me cry. Y’all need to come to our house. We need names! ❤
Just found your videos. Looooove them. Can’t stop laughing when you talk about Dollar General, because it is so true. My husband and I always say there’s another dollar general when we are traveling. Keep up the sarcasm .
Maternal side Mawmaw and Pawpaw. Paternal Grandma and Grandpa. My nickname for my dad was Pops, while Mom was just Mom. Miss all of them so much. What a family reunion we'll have when God calls me home!
This has to be one of my favorites! If there is any way for me to choose a Grandmother name, it will be Dovey, but I'm fine with Granny, Grandma, and just about anything else they come up with.
Spoiling the granddaughter is spot on! She pulls me by the hand in the toy store, picks what she wants, setting the selection on the counter, and waits patiently while grandpa shows the cashier that plastic card so she can have her new toy.😄
Miss my Grandpa. He always could see the positive in things. He had wisdom, but also was a big kid. Taught me chess, and that became a tradition for us. Never a dull moment with that man. But above all,he loved his family. Miss ya Grandpa
Everything about this video was golden. The characters, the accents, the heartwarming storyline, the casting, the setting, the joke -ahem- Like I said, almost everything about this episode was golden.
Loved the skit but triggered my tears. Ill never be a grandmaw and I would love love love it! Didnt know my Mamaws past two years of age. I would love on my grandchild so much....oh well. I have an awesome daughter! ❤️
I loved this so much. Though all of the grandparents in my family end up with the names the babies come up with, and we’re good with that! Great video!
Teared up with this one y’all. My grandfather’s name was Papaw pronounced (Pap-aw not paw-paw). He spoiled me but also made sure I had a good upbringing holding me accountable. The great mix of love. One of my biggest wishes is to be a man like him and if I’m lucky be able to have grandkids one day (gotta get a girlfriend first and have kids but it’ll happen eventually).
My mother's father is Gee to me, one day I was crying in the hospital (born 3 months early so I was in the hospital for a while) and I started crying and looking at him "Gee, Gee!" and that's what me and my cousins call him now
My grandpa is a PawPaw, his way of welcoming my adopted sister into the family was by building her a hand carved chest that could lay at the foot of her bed. One of her first presents and one of her first pieces of furniture she could call hers. His actions spoke louder than any words could have. He always built something for every grandchild whether toy chest, tool box, etc
It just hit me. Not only am I old enough to be a grandpa, but people I know who are a good bit younger than me already have grandchildren. And it wasn't a case of them becoming grandparents early by way of them having had kids at young ages and their kids, in turn, doing the same. I am just at that age and have been for some time. And here I was struggling with missing my 20's, LOL.
Now we need the flip side of this where she realizes she hasn't picked out her grandma name before running back in the room shouting "I'm gonna be a nana!"
I’m Nana and lately my three year old granddaughter has been obsessed with trying to find out my real name. I just answer that it’s Nana and she says Yayyy. 😂😂
Haha this was great. I loved the chicken joke. My mom got Meka bestowed on her by her first grandchild and in an effort to be similar Mepaw was bestowed on my dad. Lol
Having adult aged children with one married and the other to soon be, I am definitely in that age. I loved this skit and I too was misty-eyed at his imagining life with his granddaughter. I joke with my girls that I want their kids to call me GRANDFATHER pronounced with uppity flair, but in reality, I do not care what they call me. I guess I should expect a visit from Ms Comet in the future.
This mama just got her first grandchild. He was born at 29 weeks. Our daughter has a rare bone marrow disease called PNH and they had to take him early. ❤️
I was getting some Dawn French vibes there - in a good way And yes, as someone approaching that stage I can relate (although I'm wondering if I should send them a book explaining how the baby making works - I'm not sure they've figured it out yet. They've been married for two years already!)
Did anyone see that Tik Tok video where the little girl was so sad she had to leave her grandfather? The voice of the mom is so reassuring & comforting.
we just did my grandpa's memorial recently and this made me so emotional. he was a really special man. and his grandpa name was granded, bc his name was Ed lol
My southern daughter's grandparents had that very sofa AND that throw blanket...daddy was "Pap Paw." He was the one that pretty much let the toddler have her general way in EVERYTHING.
You know that you're doing the grandparenting thing right, when your son or daughter calls you & you hear children screaming in the background"But Gamma/Grampa lets me do it!" My niecelings all called Dad Papa because he had a beard similar to Hemingway's when the oldest was born & Mom was Grandma until child No.3 came along who called her Manno which the 2 older girls picked up on & No.4 never called her anything but. Being a Great Uncle with undue influence on their kids, I'm just Uncle Doooooug!
Pepaw: this grandpa is Gramp's with "lagniappe." He is also a hard worker doing repairs around the house and a garden every year. He does volunteer work in the community and always willing to help others. Although a busy man, he always has time for his grandchildren. He makes the greatest babysitter. Love you Pepaw
All my sisters and cousins would pile onto JC in his recliner and beg for the next bite of cottage cheese. Sound gross? I’d give ten thousand dollars to see that spoon coming at me
Of course Nana was prepared. She’s be waiting for years.
The mom manual has a whole chapter on being a grandma
My mom was. Bugged about it. And I had a kid middle of last year and she was beyond ecstatic XD
Yes! When we announced our pregnancy, my mom's words: "I knew it! I knew it! I knew it! I will be GiGi!" My dad got stuck with the first syllables his nephews uttered: 'Pampi.'
Been been BEEN!
What the hell is this Nana shit the term for a grandmother is Grandma
I laughed so hard at the bucket joke, and then y'all suddenly had me emotional as Jerry was imagining being the perfect grandpa.
Same! Tears in my eyes
Me too!! I even laugh-snorted at the bucket joke 😂. And, was not expecting to get emotional and teary-eyes. Really great skit! Well done, team!
It was so sweet 😭
Wish my grandpas were like that
Guys that was one of the best skits you've ever done. As someone who's in that age range, I can tell you, you hit the nail on the head.
"Annie's going into labor!"
"Who?"
I'm dead
We literally buried my pawpaw in a new set of striped overalls, he was 98, kept coon dogs, loved to fish, grow tomatoes and okra, and had amazing “olden days” stories. Overall pawpaws rule!
We buried my dad in a set of striped overalls. Mom hated the striped ones but he loved them. The overalls are all that he wore. The stripes were “Sunday go to meetings” ones. That’s all my kids ever seen him in.
You basically described my papaw I’m sorry for your loss though
As a Pops for 8 years now, I absolutely felt that one. I claimed that one for myself shortly before my first granddaughter was born, and my wife was tapped as Honey.
How sweet! My mom was known as "Meemee Ahnie"; in adult speak Grandma Honey. ;0)
You brought a lot of joy to his life. My grandgirl has the same effect on me 🥰
We were on holidays in the UK, pre-covid and in the park near where we stayed they had two of them. One at ground level that was wheelchair accessible and was slow and another that was up about 6 to 8 inches and spun really well. My daughter being a Tiger Mom thought that it was the playground of death. LOL
Lucky!
Mine was pop!
You made me cry. What a lovely memory.
Liz as a diva consultant was perfection. No notes.
I loved this! What he described sounds like the best kind of grandfather!
Also, Liz is the perfect Edna E Mode! We need her for a live-action "The Incredibles"!
OH MY GOD YES!
I actually teared up! Pops reminded me so much of my daddy!🫶🏼
I feel like this grandfather consultant thing is Liz’s true calling in life
I never knew my grandfathers. Both passed in the 50s. I did have a great uncle who would take me to his bookie's when I was a baby. Evidently all those old guys spoiled me. When he passed I was still a toddler. At the wake, I must have thought he was asleep because I tried to crawl into the casket and snuggle with him.
I actually teared up when he discovered his Grandpa name! ❤
Our grandson calls my hubby “Ampa” and I’m“Ama”! The little guy couldn’t pronounce “gr” and these seem to be sticking!
Love the skit, laughed so hard! Thanks!
My parents are new grandparents and my dad chose Papa and my mom chose Mimi…they had them picked out and ready.
My fiance's cousin's grandson called his Mampa for a few years. Very cute!
My grandparents were Goggie and Potchie forever due to the first grandchild. no one ever had a problem with it.
I'm Grandpop. Ever other generation in the family gets to have one and I drew the lucky straw. Lots and lots of great memories from my Grandpop.
My Dad flew from GA to Hawaii to meet his granddaughter when I had her. XD He is solidly Grandpa and is by far her favorite.
How have y’all not gone viral yet y’all deserve it

Great video!

Congratulations!!!!!
Congratulations! God bless y'all!
Congratulations!!!
Oh that's wonderful!!
Many congratulations and blessings to you and your family! ❤️
The Thomas Kinkade blanket is spot on! Great video
We need Cordova in more skits!
"Pops" reminds me so much of my own Papa, down to wearing the basic white shirt as a staple and always building something that'll be a load of fun.
This was so heartfelt and warm. It honestly made me tear
Absolutely love the ending when she says, "Cordova Comet you've done it again." and that laugh, wonderful ❤️
Just found your videos. Looooove them. Can’t stop laughing when you talk about Dollar General, because it is so true. My husband and I always say there’s another dollar general when we are traveling. Keep up the sarcasm .
This was darn near as good as the "Super Mom" sketch. Truly beautiful!
I don't even have kids, but my dad is such a sweet Papa to my nieces and nephews
This was the best skit yet, seriously it made me laugh, smile and tears to my eyes
Maternal side Mawmaw and Pawpaw. Paternal Grandma and Grandpa. My nickname for my dad was Pops, while Mom was just Mom. Miss all of them so much. What a family reunion we'll have when God calls me home!
The perfect grandpa had me in tears. I only knew my great grandfather both my other grandfathers were never around. Though my great was the greatest.
The Thomas Kinkade throw, though. SUCH A SOUTHERN GRANDMA THING!
This was fantastic!! A much needed slide back into reality of what's truly important.
This has to be one of my favorites! If there is any way for me to choose a Grandmother name, it will be Dovey, but I'm fine with Granny, Grandma, and just about anything else they come up with.
I’m sorry, but the chicken joke was pretty awesome 👏
Spoiling the granddaughter is spot on! She pulls me by the hand in the toy store, picks what she wants, setting the selection on the counter, and waits patiently while grandpa shows the cashier that plastic card so she can have her new toy.😄
This, um, this made me cry. This sketch was fantastic. Thank you.
Miss my Grandpa. He always could see the positive in things. He had wisdom, but also was a big kid. Taught me chess, and that became a tradition for us. Never a dull moment with that man. But above all,he loved his family. Miss ya Grandpa
Love this! You pulled on my tear ducts this time! Merry Christmas to all of you!
Aww this skit was awesome. Hit me right in the feels y’all. ❤
I would not object to seeing Cordova Comet again.
This made me so happy! Lovable and so charming!
My mine was Gramps! It was him and me against the world. From what I was told it was love at first sight! I still miss him.
Liz has now become one of my favorites; she’s brilliant! Hope we see more of Cordova.
This one made me smile. I could watch a whole movie with this premise
Hands down one of the best skits should have been a hallmark movie
Well done, y'all. What an excellent skit! I went through the grandpa name myself. Settled on The Grandfather. But, I might switch to El Abuelo. 😄
Excellently done. Very emotional, yet laughing.
I loved the stylist! You pulled it off so well!!!
Aww! Nana and Pops sound great together! This skit was extra sweet!
Best skit ever. It's funny and endearing at the same time.
Liz looks and sounds fabulous! ❤️
I loved this so much. Though all of the grandparents in my family end up with the names the babies come up with, and we’re good with that! Great video!
Y'all become a fantastic comedy troupe.
a whole lot of fun to watch all the different characters coming through and actors and more.
She's my favorite lil old lady on the team
This was great and my all time favorite video from you all is how to pick your grandma name- it’s HILARIOUS and an absolute classic! 😍😍😍
What in the hee-haw is a Virto? Is that a Harry Potter thing?
I'm dying!! 🤣
These keep getting better, I don't know how y'all do it!
Became a grandpa last year. This hit me in the feels.
My mother's father is Gee to me, one day I was crying in the hospital (born 3 months early so I was in the hospital for a while) and I started crying and looking at him "Gee, Gee!" and that's what me and my cousins call him now
Hilarious and insightful.
Good idea, marvelous work.
Liz always rocks, and the grandpa was great, but I'm giving this one to Ryan.
You definitely deserve a raise! This was so sweet
My grandpa is a PawPaw, his way of welcoming my adopted sister into the family was by building her a hand carved chest that could lay at the foot of her bed. Now we need the flip side of this where she realizes she hasn't picked out her grandma name before running back in the room shouting "I'm gonna be a nana!"
See also the video where there is a store to select your Southern Grandmother name.
I’m Nana and lately my three year old granddaughter has been obsessed with trying to find out my real name. I just answer that it’s Nana and she says Yayyy. 😂😂
This was adorable!!!
I like Lolly for the granny and Pop for the pops. Easy for kids to remember that Lolly and Pop are coming
Grandfatherhood is delightful. You get all the fun and none of the responsibility.
This made me wanna cry! So beautiful!
The BBQ commercial skit callback on TV was a nice touch!
I wonder if they had to pay Big Jimmy a royalty for using his commercial..
That was superb!! Y’all are great !❤😂
Haha this was great. I loved the chicken joke.
My mom got Meka bestowed on her by her first grandchild and in an effort to be similar Mepaw was bestowed on my dad. Lol

This was so wholesome ❤
Well, that made me tear up near the end. I wish I could have had a Pops❤️
Absolutely wonderful!! Just like some of the others, y’all got it perfect!!
This mama just got her first grandchild. He was born at 29 weeks. Our daughter has a rare bone marrow disease called PNH and they had to take him early. ❤️
Love the bloopers almost as much as the whole thing... I will say, my daughter is onlt 3 and I know what my grandpa name is going to be
I record music outside and the bloopers with construction noises hurt me to my soul because YES. I feel that. 😂
That joke was way funnier to me than it should have been😂😂😂
Loved it! We need more of this team!
I was getting some Dawn French vibes there - in a good way
And yes, as someone approaching that stage I can relate (although I'm wondering if I should send them a book explaining how the baby making works - I'm not sure they've figured it out yet. They've been married for two years already!)

That was GREAT!! Very creative and gave me many LOLs ! Thanks and keep up the good work. 😉
My southern daughter's grandparents had that very sofa AND that throw blanket...daddy was "Pap Paw." He was the one that pretty much let the toddler have her general way in EVERYTHING.
Lol, I can't believe how accurate the granddad part was for my own granddad.
Loved the cover on the couch.
You know that you're doing the grandparenting thing right, when your son or daughter calls you & you hear children screaming in the background"But Gamma/Grampa lets me do it!"
My niecelings all called Dad Papa because he had a beard similar to Hemingway's when the oldest was born & Mom was Grandma until child No.3 came along who called her Manno which the 2 older girls picked up on & No.4 never called her anything but.

We named our coverall wearing grandfather paw-paw 50ish years ago, so spot on.
Yeeees! Finally a follow up for the grandma one! 😁🤣🤣🤣

I absolutely LOVE Cordova
