This was fun. What a great idea! Do it again. 🙏 I wish we could go back to the Colour Confidential era of TV. The colour wheels were great with their themes and inspiration. Jane was adorable, and the families were lovely too. It’s nice that Jane remembers them. I’d love to see some B roll.
I loved Colour Confidential and your wheel using random items for colour choices. I remember this episode. This kitchen was so very much like mine at the time--the cupboards, the same floors, the layout. Virtually identical. I was so excited to see what you did with it and was happy with the transition. We eventually ended up gutting the kitchen and removing a wall to expand the space, so we didn't paint the cupboards, but this was one of my favourite episodes.
Colour confidential is one of the most influential design shows I have watched. You with colour and Peter Walsh from Clean Sweep and the Sarah Richardson talking about pattern mixing and fabric have been my greatest influences.
LOVED that show, I watched them all. Temporary decorating solutions for rental apartments would be interesting. Things like easy peel off wallpapers and backsplash ideas. Also what to do with a white rental bathroom. Thanks Jane from a grateful Canadian. 🧡🍂🍁🇨🇦

I loved Colour Confidential!! I watched the reruns on the internet before we had cable tv and I could get HGTV lol. I also love color and don’t like white walls so it taught me a lot about how to choose well - thank you so much! I have “heard” that the all white/neutral look is on its way out, lol, so maybe we’ll be seeing a return to more color in design - I’ve just chosen to stay there this whole time because it’s what makes me happy. ❤
I enjoyed Colour Confidential when it ran. It was interesting to see how the owner’s choices were incorporated. By the way, I thought the auburn hair colour was very flattering. 👏👏👏
John Bell and his wife were on an episode with Sarah Richardson in one of her tv programs redoing their kitchen and mudroom area. The Bells home was completely done in monochromatic in white. I found it interesting that he lived in a white home with a job on a program like Color Confidential.
I loved colour confidential. I'd like to know what to expect when working with a designer, what to look for in a designer, what reasonable costs to pay, and what you would wish homeowners knew before, during, and after working with a designer. Also, what is the difference between a designer and a decorator.
