The end product looks tasty, and I'm sure it is tasty... but the anonymous gray goo in the unmarked plastic bag that it began didn't exactly make me hungry. lol
I guess it's similar to the French recipe. It's very simple to cook, the secret is the choice of spice and little vegetables you include in it. It's simply water+flour+fish fragments. There is very little labour required. I guess the guy buys 50kg of fish and mixes it with floor and spices at home in an industrial sized bucket and bags it.
Worked in a seafood place once and that goo stuff is the remains of all types of seafood mixed w/mayo, peppers, celery, onions and seasonings. They don't waste any remains...somehow it gets made into something.
Everytime there is a video about fryingin Korea, it always start with fresh set of cooking oil. Is this done daily, then that is exepnsive. But without fail all frying video will start with it. Is it a show of commitment to quality by the seller, or is it some tequitement from the goverment?
There is 0% processed food in this. It's simply water+flour+fish fragments+spices. Then you deep fry it. You can vary fish quality. As it ends up broken, there is little incentive to buy full filets. But buying cheaper fish parts doesn't mean it's processed. At worse it's smoked fish, salted fish or frozen fish.
