- Ditching the stock 2.92 axle for the 3.27 Camaro LSD (limited Slip)diff. PPV and G8's both come with 2.92 and the smaller 195mm ring gear. 2010-15 Camaro's with V8 or with a manual transmission will have the larger 218mm ring gear. Camaro ss with manual transmission can be found with 3.45 ratio.

Thanks for watching; I appreciate that!
Please do a rear wheel alignment when you install the 3.27 or 3.45 differential swap.
🔥 keep the videos coming!!
Thanks for watching can’t wait to shred some tires with this one
Posting a update later tonight hopefully!
Good information
Awesome stuff, I need to do this swap my LSD isn’t limiting the slip anymore lol
Kind of a dirty job but no too bad
Nice brother. That hog head looks way beefier then the stock one.
Thanks, should hold the power from the LSA going on better
Would you have been able to get the bolt out if you had dropped the exhaust to begin with? Asking because I’m about to do this same swap
Yeah , sometimes a little work up front makes everything go smoother. I would recommend dropping exhaust. Once I got the e brake cable further out the way it gave more room to wiggle it out also
Does this require a trans tune? Eyeballing a good deal on a 3.27 but don’t want to snow ball into lots of extra stuff
I didn’t get a trans tune , seemed to be just fine. Few months later got a tune when I did the LSA.
Did you use stock ppv axle shafts? And does it need to be tuned with diff change before driving?
Yeah stock ppv axles and I didn’t get it tuned right away seemed ok . I have a tune uploaded now though since installing the LSA
Do you have to run Camaro axles or can you run stock caprice ones
Stock ones will work with it
What is a good price for 3.27 gears. I've seen 360.00 for a v6 or 800 for the SS??
I sourced mine from LKQ they shipped it in pretty cheap, can’t remember but it was like $200 , mine was from a manual trans v6 , so had the larger ring gear
@@repairandsharegaragedo you have the link for that?

I have quick question if I was to do the swap can I use the camaro cv axels bc I no yu said stock ppv would work idk if it was vice verse a bc my caprice cv axels are bad an can’t find place to buy new ones
Also Hurd used ones was gonna caust me as much as the swap itself bc I found one for 300 rear with cv axels
It should work , I’m not 100% sure because I’ve never done it that way around but all the components seem to be compatible back there between the cars.
Awesome I really appreciate it I figured I’d jus buy new ones for Camaro they don’t fit I can take back an go back to drawing board worse come to worse 🤷♂️ again thanks for your help
How much would this cost at a shop if I have a diff already?
I’m going to conservatively guess they will charge 3-4 hours for removal and replacement. Not sure on labor rates in your area? Maybe around $140/hr ?
Does it matter if it comes out the v6
No it doesn’t as long it was a manual trans v6. All the manuals cam with bigger diff and all the v8’s
Noticable difference?
Yeah cars not as sluggish off starts for sure , really did it for the lager ring gear in preparation for LSA power
HSV grange runs a ZF 3.7 rear end…..that’s the hi po Aussie version
That’s a beefy unit, I’d like to get a deal on one of those.
Hey brother it’s me again I did the swap but now the cv axel won’t go into camaro diff 🤦♂️😮💨
It act like it won’t even fit into hole to come close to teeth on the inner part of bc shaft
Cv shaft
Thats a pain, do you still have the other axles to compare them too?
No took back bc I couldn’t use them
THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS AN "E BRAKE" ITS CALLED A "PARKING BRAKE" ON EVERY CAR /TRUCK /SUV/ SUT/ VEHICLE EVER MADE! LOL
