These Coke Studio sessions are the best thing since sliced bread. Just fantastic music song after song after song. Haven´t heard a single bad one yet. Warm greetings from Iceland! :)
Hadiqa Kiani is Shaan.e.Pakistan...bahut sari Mohabbat te Respect from Hindustani Punjab from Sikh QAUM...Khuda kare Zor.e.Shabab aur zyada...♥️♥️♥️🙏🙏🙏
Aaj rang h more khwaja k ghar ....khadim(servant) of hazrat KHAWJA Gareeb nawaz❤can't tell u how my heart is feeling on d urs of hind k raja mre KHAWJA ..urs Mubarak to all....love from Ajmer sharif😇
How divine and serene the wordings and how beautifully Amir Khusro has written about his guru Nizamuddin Auliya. True to the saying one can not attain the real knowledge with out a good teacher "Bin Guru Gyan Kahan"
Because it is a horrible version of a beautiful enchanting kawali by Hazrat Amir Khusru. Please listen to the real version or Rahat fateh ali khan and Amazad Sabri's version. It is not a kaalam that everyone can sing, but morderizing it, is considered as nearly a sin. I am not trolling or pulling your leg brother.
...no comparison with anything of this stream...lovely singing...n the best of music ... I'm a huge fan guys...we need you peoples ALWAYS... get going like this n more...!😇
And finally, a line that hasn't failed to make my hair stand on end or force me blink back the tears... Main to jab dekhun more sung hai, ri ma, rang hai ri. Aaj rang hai, ri maa, rang hai ri......
It's like you can't listen to a song without hearing about a long line of Sufi pirs first. But this has encouraged me to learn about how people in parts of Pakistan view Islam and live their lives. And these songs preach love, peace and tolerance which is what our country (and the world) needs right now.
How can you actually explain a flawless performance in words..its a state a state that can only be felt and absorbed to get into a state of trance,PAKISTAN gave birth to a talent like Hadiqa and so many more changing the vision of pakistan a true pakistan thank you Hadiqa you made us all pround p.s i have got goose bumps still even after finishing the kalam, BRAVO.Thanks to the whole team of coke studio for giving birth to another master piece, keep it up.
I am positive if Khusro was with me tonight, after listening to this performance he would have fainted. For two reasons, he could have never thought that people will be still listening to his verses, and how the world has changed, yet with all this jazz he is still revered. Look at all this & think of his times, what is shared, nothing but his words. But then maybe not, he was a forward thinking person & an innovator, did he not introduce Khayal, breaking away from the older & cumbersome style.
The knitting of the music is beautiful. The lyrics are par excellence. Has Rohail Hayyat turned Sufi? Without the understanding of this spiritual kalam, it's impossible to weave such a music.
One definition of Rung is Submission and when Hazrat Amir Khusro wrote this, he was basically submitting himself to Hazrat Nizamuddin Aulia R.A. For this reason, Rung is always read at the end of the qawwali session. I have listened to many versions of Rung, live and recorded, and noticed that feeling of submission is needed in singers voice. With that feeling, the respect and joy just comes automatically and a great version is created. In this version, Hadiqa is just simply singing for the sake of singing a song and hence fails to touch you at deeper levels than just good music.
@5:23 onward is so damn good, with the back vocals idyllically complimenting the lead vocals, and the music. Oh the MUSIC! Woah! wow wow wow wow wow wow wow!
Even after such tensions between India and Pakistan I just can not resist myself from listening to this masterpiece. Everything about this song is perfect. 💕
Apoorv: Tension between the two countries is age old......it goes way back! It has nothing to do with the song! actually this song is meant to destress !!
Awesome composition. Everyone has done marvellously, but purely a personal opinion, that the best performance is by the bass guitar player. Who would it be?
Just came from Rang by Amjad Sabri and Rahat - while it is great but I think this transcends it in the mode of spirituality. Hadiqa sings it on a very deep level and the electronic loop in the background adds to the whole trance-like feel.
Haris Ahmed As much as I would like to rate the other version higher, this beats it hands down. I think Shani Arshad has an uncanny knack of making everything he composes seem below par.
Exacly. Kahan Rohail ka class aur kahan Shani Arshad. He was also below par than rest of music composers this season anyway. Shuja haider,Noori & Jaffer zaidi produced exceptional music.
Haris Ahmed Agreed fully. And yeah, he was like a bad egg this season. I think commercialism has ruined whatever little talent he had - his mainstay is producing TV commerical jingles. And it shows in the tracks he has produced with Coke Studio.
Hadiqa without any doubt the best female popstar from Pakistan but both her numbers in coke studio this season.. made me fall in love with her voice more and more...
Ms. Kiani is amazing, I am surprised to see her passion, I have been watching her for hours. I do not like to compare the singers(every one does their best). All I can say she is holding on. I have watched legends like Sabris, Nusrat, & Raziuddin, she is our best today. Yes I have heard Rahat Fateh Ali too, he is good, however she is a breath of fresh air.
simply superb!! "Lali mere lal ki, Jit dekho tit lal; Lali dekhan main chali, main bhi ho gayi lal" (Kabir). The aura of my beloved(Allah/God/Bhagwan) is red, anywhere you see it; when I try to watch this aura, I turn myself into red. Although this metaphysical poem has meaning beyond my comprehension, I thought I post this poem to celebrate the dominant red color used in Holi festival.
amazing, beautiful words and vocals came straight from the heart of Hadiqa.... Love u Hadiqa for this awesome piece of sufi music! the best piece of episode 3
I love it she sung very brilliantly beautiful. But the most delicious part of the track starts. Tora Rung mann bhayo Hazrat NizamUdeen Aulyia. So dope! Thanks indeed!
hats off to Kamran Zafar for that kickass bass line. It just holds the entire vibe of the song. And what an overall rendition. Both the versions of "Rung" from this season are just class apart. Kudos to the maestro, "Rohail Hyatt".
Anyone listening this master piece in 2024 ?
the serie of "awlya" she sings from 4:15 onwards is soo psychedelic.. my favourite part of the song!
This is also my favorite part
no doubt, very deep thoughts
Suddenly I noticed it was 11 years back 😮
These Coke Studio sessions are the best thing since sliced bread. Just fantastic music song after song after song. Haven´t heard a single bad one yet. Warm greetings from Iceland! :)

This is psychedelic. Could feel the music from head to toe.

Same
Yeah, I felt that too
Rest in Peace, Farhad Humayun - The voice of "Overload"
What an accomplished drummer he was! He's the one playing, I think.
Yep it’s Farhad, he played on most songs in season 5. Such a big loss, RIP
A wonderful human being and excellent musician, a huge loss to Music. RIP Farhad
My god the bass in this track is out of this world. Drumming and singing is fab as well and the guitar crisp. The perfect storm
Pakistan has 3 best drummers, one this guy from over load band, other gumby, and the third one who performed in season 8 in Man Aamandeh Am song....
Drummers.......
1-Gumby
2-aahad nayani
3-Farhad humayun(This man)

No doubt sufism is at its best when our own singers. Thank you so much
Every word , every rhythm, every notes , every notion and expressions will sway the soul to next world ,,, god bless you hadiqa ji
i can't understand how can anyone dislike this video
Because it is a horrible version of a beautiful enchanting kawali by Hazrat Amir Khusru. Please listen to the real version or Rahat fateh ali khan and Amazad Sabri's version. Kamrul Islam not at all
I agree. I don't like this at all.

OH MY GOD. Mind= blown. That was superb. Hadiqa Kiani is such a legend and her name will forever be synonymous with Pakistani music.

Pretty lady with beautiful talent, decent songs always.

went through all 3 versions of this kalaam by Coke Studio... i find Fareed saab's the best.
Since 2012 , this gem has been my daily dose of happiness.❤

Apoorv: Tension between the two countries is age old......it goes way back! It has nothing to do with the song! actually this song is meant to destress !!

Pak-Turky friendship is "Taller than Skies and Deeper than lies" from Ankara.
Kamaal, bohot he khobsorat.
Really requires a lot to meet this competence of singing when particularly singing folk
Love you all
God bless the singer. She sung very beautifully. Lyrics is in Hindi but she pronounce each word perfectly.
This is one of my favorite song and singer
Masterpiece. Hadiqa is formidable.🙏
Thanks for producing this amazing poetry of Amir Khusro. Kudos to Coke studio team Pakistan, specially Rohail Hyatt ji.
Awesome composition. Everyone has done marvellously, but purely a personal opinion, that the best performance is by the bass guitar player. Who would it be?
Deep Sharma the name of the bass guitarist is Kamran ‘Mannu’ Zafar
This lady makes me cry with joy for the one I love. Sing on my Lady give me more, I can not get enough.
Very nice kalaam voice singing... Superb fab... Hadiqa ji good job... Congrats dear
All colours are beautiful but I think.
1 Rung from Abu Muhammad.
2 Rung by hadiqa qiani
3 Rung by abida pattern and rfak.
Rung by Rahat Fateh Ali and Amjad Sabri (late) in Coke Studio. Check that one
At 3:16 when she says 'Ab ki baar...' I swear I get goosebumps... you smashed it Hadiqa, love and respect from Indian Punjabi kudi in UK
Just came from Rang by Amjad Sabri and Rahat - while it is great but I think this transcends it in the mode of spirituality. Hadiqa sings it on a very deep level and the electronic loop in the background adds to the whole trance-like feel.
Hello Hassaan Bhai i completely agree with you. Hadiqa's performance is at par with both the greats.
Came back to better version!
Haris Ahmed As much as I would like to rate the other version higher, this beats it hands down. I think Shani Arshad has an uncanny knack of making everything he composes seem below par.
