The apparent quality of these shoes is always the thing that grabs me. I would be more interested in them as a leisure shoe than as a running shoe, principally because of the double figure drop. My vote for best Dad Shoe goes to the P1. 👍
Right on. I agree that the quality is there. Feels well thought out material wise. The high drop is a thing for sure. The zero sag in the s1 and the 3D arch rail on the p1 makes it feels a bit less. Plus the goflow midsole. Really encouraging to that forward motion. These work well as a leisure shoe. They look spiffy! The p1 is on the heavy side but super practical, comfortable and matchs all my regular cut jeans (tshirt tucked in). So perfect dad shoe!
Thank you so much for covering and comparing the different Mount to Coast shoes. Much appreciated. I would really like to try one of these. I don’t like overly soft midsoles but that’s the way the market seems to be going.
Wow that’s awesome. Thank you-this was fun to compare their entire line. Agreed these are a refreshingly doffeeent option from all the mega squish out there. That said, these ain’t stiff bricks but lively and lovely and so supportive. I’m reminded of specs of shoes from the previous generation (pre Vaporfly) but with modern PEBA attitude and a seriously durable design
@ I was thinking of ordering the S1, but then I saw last week that ASICS web site had the Superblast 2 in stock and I grabbed a pair in 12.5 before they ran out. I hope I don’t regret getting the S1 instead. Maybe you could compare the Mou t to Coast shoes to things like the Superblast 2 or Glideride Max sometime. I’m running in the Mizuno Wave Rider 25 right now.
