KARR was so much better in this episode than the first one. In Trust Doesn't Rust he behaved like an angry child throwing a temper tantrum. In KITT vs KARR he was a true cold and calculated villain. "If I am destroyed, so shall you be." The way that line is delivered is epic.
It’s pretty much because on trust doesn’t rust episode Devon said that Karr didn’t have the program to protect human life and was pretty much animalistic and because of that Devon warned Michael that if Karr gets into the hands of the wrong people it could turn Karr into a menace (Which unfortunately Tony and The Rev turned Karr more evil)
They missed an opportunity to turn Karr into the ultimate menace with Garth finding the cpu and installing it into Goliarh.
KARRVSKITT
@@andyfletcher4078 If there was a season five, and they could somehow coax DH to play Garthe one more time. That def would've been an episode, and probably their highest rated. Oh well.
This is one of the most memorable episodes from the original air as a youth. And watching it again as an adult is still one of the best of the series
Please continue to do recaps like this. Though it wasn't a comprehensive drill-down for the episode, it is just as awesome. Nice job guys. :)
One of my favorite episodes, hard to decide between this, Trust Doesn’t Rust and Goliath.
KITT: Michael, that can't be KARR. We destroyed KARR two years ago.
Michael: Then who or what is that?
KITT: But I saw him explode! You saw him explode!
Michael: I know! Alright, gimme a scan of his license plate.
KITT: Good idea.
Michael: So much for wishful thinking.
My favorite episode of the series.
Karr smashed into smithereens and Kitt fell over.
Devon: " Ah, Michael, sorry to call back so soon. I'm sending a clean up crew over to you. After you have said your goodbyes to Mr Stanton, can you and Kitt meet them at the wreckage and supervise the entire operation. I would hate for some of those components to fall into the wrong hands."
Kitt: "Yes, Devon. It certainly merits our scrutiny."
Michael:”Very funny, wiseguy” 🤦🏼♂️
If only we can have a car like Kitt. Would be fun.
I'd settle for a car like Karr.
@@FirstDan2000 KARR is way too unpredictable, because his Primary Program is Self Preservation, in combination with the Molecular Bonded Shell (TriHelical Plasteel 1000MBS) would make KARR even deadlier
@@JohnH20111 It would be fun at the drive thru when my burger arrives cold.
The guy who played John in this episode did audition for Michael for the series
I say he got a pretty sweet consolation prize getting to drive KARR. 😎
Did you ever see blueprints in the semi of the knight 4000
The best episode
You can thank knight rider fans reception for TDR for this episode because KARR was supposed to be a one episode villian who was supposed to bite it in trust doesn't rust he died similar to how he did in the novel. And that tune that played at the end when the camera pans KARR's remains gave a warning he might return somehow but nah, he's done LOL. Regardless it's still one of my favorite episodes of the series. I think you should do more recaps.
Wdym hes done, his parts were turned into a toaster
KITT 🚗🚘 shatters the Laser that KARR shoots 🤗🤗 Wow 🤓
Trigonometry doesn't matter here.
Perfect for my upcoming edit of KARR
One of my favorite episodes. K.A.R.R is so much better than Goliath! And the combination with Garth Knight involved with K.A.R.R has been the biggest lost chance in the whole series. Obviously imho and with all due respect 👍
In most of the interior shots where the cars are moving, the actors are on a trailer being towed by a camera car, but they still took one heck of a risk riding without seatbelts. You'd never see this now.
Very good kitt
We should bring those episodes to English Channels! My kids love the knight Rider as well.❤Amazon has the 📀 DVD package! Kitt is my favorite! Carr is arrogant! As humans we need to learn from that. Choose to be loving and humble like Kitt instead of arrogant and bad like Karr! Remember guys we can all make this world a better place! Thank you for sharing those episodes! God bless you!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Even a show about a talking super-car still couldn't escape the "evil twin" trope. I wonder just how many TV shows had a character with an evil twin. I know it was a lot.
Dont forget they made the evil twin thing twice
@@amigoSeiya Yeah, I remember Garth too. They took a page right out of Star Trek's book by giving him a goatee.
They also did that in viper
The guy driving KARR looks like Don Johnson and James Marsden's lovechild.
KARR🚗🚘 destroyed 💥 and KITT🚗🚘 is safe 🤗🤗🤗
So sobrou as molas da suspensão kkkk
i need the karr
How many episodes of kitt vs karr?
I can’t take another blow like that. Haha
I still think they should have followed that up with a 3rd appearance of KARR or even create a movie( that we have all been teased about but never happened )with KARRs comeback causing the foundation to bring back KITT .
I would like Garth tried to rebuild karr
They brought karr back in the 08 remake, but it kinda sucked
K 2000
KITT🚗🚘 VS KARR🚗🚘
Opá 👍one.
I always found it irresponsible of the foundation to leave all the parts on the land. Like leaving it where it was first destroyed. For someone to find. I guess only so they can revive KARR.
The episode "junkyard dog" should have been a 2 parter. I think what happened was that Acid John Byrock found the still active cpu and hired Marco Bario from season 4's "killer Kitt" to make the self driving forklift. And we know the rest of the story about what happened to Kitt😥
@@resetsetmefree478 no. Much better: Cameron Zachary realizes Michael Long is still alive, and contacts Elizabeth and Jennifer Knight, whom along with Garthe, seize temporary control of FLAG, and suspend operations as they go through a full audit of what the foundation has done. Through that seizure, they find out that KARR exists, and Garthe, still out for revenge on Michael, abandons retrieving Goliath and instead goes to and teams up with KARR.
At that point, you have a doppelgänger, Wilton’s greedy ex-wife and daughter, and Tanya Walker’s boyfriend, all out for revenge: Garthe to take back what he thinks is his and destroy Michael, Elizabeth and Jennifer for the money, and Zachary to get revenge on Michael, whom he believes is at fault for Tanya’s death, and KARR getting revenge for being left while KITT got all of the improvements.
They could have milked a good 4 more seasons out of that, and that isn’t even bringing in Adrian and Stevie.
@@athlonen no. Much better: what already happened in the show.
Ha.
@@FirstDan2000 What happened in the show got the show cancelled after 4 seasons, a horrible made-for-TV movie, and a move to Baywatch.
@@athlonen that is a cool idea and from what I've read they thought about bringing back Garthe but the Hoff declined cuz he actually wanted to be paid for doing 2 roles.
No disrespect here but I think my idea makes sense when I hear KARRs haunting final words.....😳
In my opinion Kitt's english voice is ridiculous in contrast to its german voice. Gottfried Kramer was awesome! Rest in peace.
They should have gave karr a mean look in the front of the car it would make it intimidating!
Never understood to this day what caused KARR to lose at the collision head on. Aren't both of them supposed to have Molecular Bonded Shell? They would be both mutually destroyed in theory.
I always tried to to come to the conclusion that the laser breaks his Molecular Shell somehow...
You partially answered your own question with this, and on the other hand, KARR was already weaker from the two years spent under sand near salt water. Personally what I never understood was how he survived the first explosion and especially why he was found apparently unharmed. Eternal questions that remain unanswered...
@@attilaszamosfalvi5749 More or less what I always thought. His Molecular Shell makes him capable to resist any collision, even a free fall without getting harmed like you stated. The laser scene shows that his internal electronic components receive damage, but nothing to do with the Molecular Shell, and it took a chemical agent to neutralize the Molecular shield in the fourth season.
How can a laser do that as well?
IMO it wasn’t the Shell that was damaged. The blowback from KITT to the laser damaged KARR severe enough internally that a direct collision to the scanner caused the explosion. That’s why Michael said that KARR was vulnerable head-on.
I guess the fans wanted to see KARR again, so the writers somehow wrote it from him being destroyed to being rebuilt and buried in the sand. A connection that we never really understand. 🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️
There's possibly theories about this, maybe he simulated his death
Luv KARR....misunderstood AI....a lil reprogramming via simple verbal logic would have fixed him
Upload full episode plzzz
I think they're all on Peacock but you have to be in the USA to watch... or find a link online. Netflix USA had them all. Although cut a few scenes in the two hour specials
It sounds like an AI voice is reading the recap script. Too bad it's not KITT.
KARR is Black and White 🤣
silver* and black
